“I went to Seng Couture for my first time shopping for my wedding dress and the experience was everything I dreamed of and more. Booking an appointment online was so quick and easy and I was able to send inspiration pictures from their website prior via text message. Although I had an idea of what I wanted, I went in unsure of what to expect but my stylist Jennifer was absolutely incredible and so attentive, caring, and passionate. She communicated with me throughout the entire process and answered any and all questions I had. She made me feel so comfortable in a situation that could potentially be uncomfortable and she made the guests I brought feel completely involved in the process as well. After trying 2-3 dresses from the pictures I sent and giving her more of an idea of what I wanted, Jennifer figured out what silhouette looked best on me/which I liked the best and started pulling dresses she thought I would love and I truly loved all of them. I completely trusted her opinion and knew she had my best interest in mind. Her only fault was making my decision more difficult by bringing me such beautiful gowns that made me feel the most confident I've ever felt. One of the last dresses I tried on ended up being THE ONE and Jennifer chose the dress herself. I am so grateful to her!
I had an incredible experience shopping here; not only did I "say yes to the dress", but I created moments with my mom and my sister that we will never forget all thanks to the amazing service of my stylist, Jennifer, and the rest of the employees. You can tell that everyone at Seng loves working there and helping people find the gown of their dreams. There was a lot of genuine love in the room from so many people I never even met before and I hope every bride is able to feel this when they go shopping for their wedding dress. My friend recommended Christine, and her professional and compassionate expertise exceeded my expectations. I left feeling so much more confident about how I would look that day in my gown. Christine also took the time to help me with every day undergarments that I love!! And are so comfortable and make everything I wear looks so much better!! “Fitting room???Love the wide selection of products and the quality. There were a lot of clearance items, but signage was very confusing. Mall is under construction, so it was not clear that Bob's was actually there. Cashier was fine and the associate on floor directed us to fitting room. The fitting room is very sketchy. Did not feel comfortable trying on items. Hopefully, this is fixed soon.”

“Looking at the reviews before mine, it sure seems like this shop has provided some mixed experiences. I did not know about this shop until very recently (I only went to Maplewood for the first time a few months ago). Before talking about the shop itself, I will say that during my recent visit the staff was very nice (this included two young women and one older one - possibly the owner?). I overheard them having several conversations with customers and they all seemed very familiar and friendly. Of course, this is just my experience, so take that as you will. No. 165 (so named for the building number) is an absolutely adorable, comfortable and whimsical shop in Maplewood. They sell all sorts of items ranging from novelty items, candy, clothes, stationary, dish towels, purses, soaps and more. Everything in the shop is either meant to be charming, beautiful or tongue-in-cheek and I love that combination. Interestingly, I saw a note on the counter that indicated at some point last year this shop was going to close, but a strong reaction from the neighborhood helped the owner to change their mind and keep the shop open. What that meant on a practical level is that during my visit a lot of the shelves were definitely more bare than I think they would normally be. This decision is recent, so I am hoping that means in the next couple months the store will restock and have more to offer than it already has. If you're in the area, definitely make it a point to visit No. 165!”
