“Heh-heh-heh! Hey there, pal! It’s me, Barney Rubble, and I just rolled my stone wheels over to this new place called Lidl in Hazlet! Fred told me it was like Bedrock’s version of a bazaar — only with fewer dinosaurs and way more fluorescent lights.
First thing I notice — no brontosaurus steaks. Not one! But they do got these things called “rotisserie chickens,” and boy, they smell so good I almost clubbed a guy in aisle five just to get the last one!
Everything’s shiny, cheap, and confusing — like if Mr. Slate opened a grocery mine. There’s signs everywhere with these weird prices like $3.29 — I keep thinkin’, “Just round it up, you cowards!” In Bedrock, we trade rocks for rocks. None of this decimal nonsense!
Then I see the bakery section — oh boy, Betty’s gonna kill me. I grabbed like six loaves of bread before realizing they’re all different kinds of carbs I can’t pronounce. “Ciabatta”? Sounds like a prehistoric bird! “Baguette”? Isn’t that what Wilma uses to poke Fred when he snores?
The cashiers, though — speedy! No yabba-dabba waitin’ in line. The girl scanned my stuff so fast, I thought she was powered by a tiny pterodactyl on espresso. I blinked and suddenly I owed her $72 and had three reusable bags I don’t remember buying.
Final thoughts? Lidl’s kinda like if a Bedrock quarry and a modern market had a baby — and that baby had great deals on cheese.

Would shop again — but next time, I’m bringin’ Fred. He’s got the bigger club card.”
“I like this store. I shop here quite often. There is a good selection of vegetables and fruits, as well as meat products. There are Italian food products here. The customer service is very polite and friendly.”
“Wegmans offers so many great items. The bakery section at this Wegmans was spectacular, but the aisles were pretty cramped and crowded. The rest of the store was well organized and easy to navigate.”

“My favorite local grocery store by a landslide. They’re open late, which has saved my dinner/dessert plans countless times. There is a very friendly, relaxing feeling inside, unlike most other local stores, which generally feel incredibly overwhelming with bright lights and people running around like there’s some kind of emergency. The workers here are all very down-to-earth and happy to help or assist, especially the deli team. Also lots of good deals and sales here. Bonus points for their selection of Tillamook ice cream. “I love going to this store, it is new has great coffee and food options. The salad bar is always fresh and I’ve had some great salads I hadn’t had anywhere else before. Pricing is on the expensive side but is definitely worth it.”

“I returned to Aldi after the closing of Lidl in Howell. I am pleasantly surprised at the improvement since my previous experience with Aldi. The produce which was my chief complaint before is awesome! Lots of organic choices and everything is fresh. Ok, I'll be back. (I do despise the shopping cart situation...you need to put in a quarter to retrieve a cart. )”

“The local Red Bank FoodTown has a good variety of items. I use Food Town a few nights a week. It is a convenient location, and it is great to stop by on my commute home. They are a little pricy on some items. But, it is not their fault. The Deli staff is always a pleasure to deal with. The pre-made meals are good quality and reasonably priced.”

“I like this place. Not for my full shopping list, but it has a lot of extras at reasonable prices. It's also an easy place to shop as long as they have people at the register. Unfortunately, they don't always have more than one opened. The last time I visited they did have two which makes it a pleasant experience.”
“I usually go to Wegmans and I will continue to go there :) this store is expensive and many things I can find in wegmans or local Italian grocery store near by for less price. But they have very good pizza ? (rectangular ones) I lived in Italy so it is not as there but good ?? also some products I cannot find in my stores from Europe which I like. The sweets did not impress me much far from what you have in Italian pasticceria and more for the USA customers. Lots of cheeses and good selections of meat and poultry!”

“Love this store for hard to find ingredients and everything Asian you can think of. Fresh herbs are priced very well at this store and I love their frozen food selections for all variations of Gyoza just heat and enjoy. I've even purchased ground pork and made my own with their fresh dumpling wrappers easy and delicious.”
