“On several occasions when coming from my country I stayed at this hotel and it was really good. It is true that it is not a five star hotel, the truth is that it is comfortable, clean, beautiful and the staff is always very friendly!”

“Decent place, was almost scared off by other reviews. Our room was decently cleaned, no sign of any bug activity (we searched! because of one reviewer). We were looking for a decent place to spend a night between concerts at PNC and this was just fine. We would not hesitate to stay here again.”

“Nice upscale hotel. Might have just been the week I was there but the restaurant was REALLY slow, and while waiting for service at the front desk there were several people complaining about everything from shower temp to doors not closing to noise. Hopefully it was just a phase.”

“I travel a lot for work and often find myself at Holiday Inns. I have a select few locations that i frequent but this was a family trip. We selected this location due to its proximity to the areas we were there to visit and because they had a pool for my boys to swim. Unfortunately, the pool was down for maintenance. The pool finally was fixed as we were checking out for a long trip home.I brought this to the attention of the staff, being there specifically for the pool and they did everything they could to make it right. Outside of magically making the pool available they made it right by me and my family. To Tyler, Tristen, and the rest of the staff, THANK YOU for your customer service! It's hard to find in this day and age.Overall, a great stay and we will be back to this location. One other item, the breakfast was by far the best!!Food & drinks: Breakfast is awesome!Noteworthy details: Great customer service!!”

“ReviewWe stayed for a week at the end of June 2023. The hotel was recently bought by a company that owns resorts further south. We were told this is their first boutique hotel. It seems that so far they are keeping the beautiful and quaint aspects of this location. Pros ⁃ Amazing location: right across the street from the water. You have an access badge to Spring Lake beach. A few blocks from the downtown area for good restaurants. On site restaurant is good but gets a bit loud (Amelia's by the Sea). ⁃ Room 15 was good: we had our own spacious bathroom and it was at the end of the hotel. Bright and clean. No view but relatively quiet and large closet. Comfortable bed with super soft bedding. ⁃ AC worked! ⁃ Bikes available (fun) and even golf cart for town trips. ⁃ Alison, the manager is a gem. She is from here and had good tips. We enjoyed visiting some lighthouses she recommended. ⁃ Bikes, beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas all free and plentiful. Cons or Meh ⁃ Street parking: seems some rooms have designated spots on site. For the rest of us, parking on street during day and across the street in the diagonals at night. We always found spots but wondering how it gets during the busier summer time. ⁃ No real lobby or chill area. Outside there are chairs and umbrellas. Adding tables would be nice. Next door at The Breakers hotel we notice huge wrap around porch that had rocking chairs and other seating looking at them sea for guests. They also have a pool!Tips for eating around the area...Downtown Spring Lake walking distance and great dining selections. Honey Berry was our "go to" breakfast place - everything was tasty but my favorite was Heavenly Bliss eggs. (Marigold was further away from downtown but good for breakfast and not as crowded.) SL Seafood was great, as was the SL pizza and Belle's ice cream (gelati was the best). Dunes Donut and Bagels delish. The Scone Pony amazing but get there early; if there is a long line, it's worth the wait. The chorizo and cheese ball breads at Nick's & Son bakery good to take to beach.”

“Towels in the wash cloth could be a little and I've seen a few roaches there other than that I guess it's okay but I don't like roaches and none of the maid speak English and that is so unfair to the Americans that are living here and patronizing your establishment they'd never hire anyone other than Mexicans I wonder why and sometimes the maids don't even change the sheets they think we don't know but we now”

“Beautiful location right on the ocean. We had a room in the new building looked practically brand new. We did have a couple glitches but as soon as we addressed them with management they remedied them quickly without any pushback. Would def stay again.”

“I’m from FL but I travel for work. Since I came to Jersey I’ve been staying at this location and I’ve stayed there for about four months. I can honestly say out of all the places I’ve been and stayed this one is by far the best. Linda(head of the crew), Alex, Jackie and the rest of the crew is what team work look like; professionalism, above and beyond, great communication, friendliness, caring and all in one making sure your experience there is comfortable and relaxing. Linda is such an amazing person every time I saw her she always put a smile on my face and Jackie have one of the most brightest smiles at the front desk waiting on you lol. Also housekeeping does an amazing job shout out to you guys and I hope Linda sees the hard work you guys do. Overall it an amazing place to stay because the staff there will make you feel like you’re at home.”

“Worse hotel in Monmouth County. Think twice before making a reservation. I knew the minute I walked in I should have walked out. The smell was so horrible. I check in and met my partner later on. The bathroom was so dirty. BLACK MOLD on the shower curtain. They claimed the bathroom was paint coming off but it was dirty and never cleaned. The bed sheets had a bug and some nasty hair on it. The pillows were so dingy not even white. Customer service front desk was so rude and only offer to change the sheets. They refused to refund me my money. Save the headache and aggression. For $10.00 more head on down the street to SONESTA. Clean, friendly, environment!!!”
