“Fresh, high quality, inexpensive ethnic produce. I wish they had more south Asian ingredients, but overall there seems to be a great selection of Caribbean, African, and east Asian ingredients. Common grocery store items (milk, eggs, butter) seem to be cheaper in ShopRite but tropical sun has way better produce.”
“I've actually lived in the neighborhood 5 years and yesterday was my first time...What I do know I bought 3 turkey provolone let tom oil vin mayo on a long roll & I swear the Deli Guy made those in less than 5 min...I also bought fresh sweet ready cut watermelon & a sandwich size bag of fresh cherries 2 lrg. Waters for under 20.00. Got everything We needed for a day at the pool! If you don't enjoy Our local Shop Rite and need odds 'n ends quickly then this is Your New Spot..Check it out”
“Great international product selection. Prices are comparable to other supermarkets but excellent when promotions and specials are published. Cashier's are very friendly and so is the security guard at the door. They accept SNAP and WIC which is great for the community.”
“The new ShopRite of East Orange was worth the wait and exceeded my expectations. The new store comes with excellent customer service on all levels and roles. There is evidence of good teamwork being displayed. The store is modern and meets the demands of the diversity of the community it is serving. Lots of smart thinking was put into the layout of the store. Its roomier and overall offers a much better shopping experience. In past i shopped at the old location basically out of need and convenience of being close but went to other locations for a bigger variety and more pleasant experience. Im now shopping at the new store because it has everything needed and the service level is exceptional..Thank you Wakefern for giving the community what im has been missing in grocery shopping. I am proud to say it is now the best store i have seen within the chain of stores. Keep it going exactly as it is now.”

“I ordered an Italian cheese steak and it was too seasoned and salty that I couldn’t finish it after a few bites. However, the meat portion and size of the sandwich I would go back but ask them not to put the seasoning. I don’t think it is terrible I just had that one experience and it was nice and clean inside. Which is why I gave it 4 stars.”
