“I have been wanting to get to the gym for a while now and finally decided to join Rock Fitness since it is so close to where I live. I’ve only had a tour and orientation, but I’m already looking forward to going back. The place is very nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s been a great experience so far.”

“Strength Center has truly been a game-changer for me. I joined early last year, looking to get stronger and healthier and I got so much more than that.
The coach-led classes are thoughtfully designed, tailored to challenge you at your level, and focused on real strength building (not just going through the motions). The programming is smart updated periodically, the pace is just right, and there is always a coach nearby to guide your form, push you when you need it, and celebrate your progress.
What really sets this place apart is the team - they are genuinely invested in your success. From thoughtful feedback to nutrition tips and lifestyle advice, they care about the whole journey, not just what happens inside the gym. I have learned how to build healthy habits that stick, and I feel stronger, more confident, and more energized than ever before.
If you are looking for a gym where the coaching is high-quality, the environment is welcoming, and your progress truly matters, Strength Center is it. Can’t recommend it enough!”

“I've been going to MFF since starting Snatched in 2014. The irreverent approach to making fitness fun plus the training on good form and technique kept me coming back for more. In fact, I feel like at this point I am confident every time I workout with instruction I received over the years. The part I didn't expect was the community and friendships I've built going to MFF. I love MFF and would recommend anyone to give it a try!”
“I have plans to move to NY and I tried Spot crossfit. I met coach Rashad, Raul and Jessie they were all great made me feel at home and very professional teaching every detail of the movements, they’re very passionate of what they do. I’ve been doing CrossFit for almost 10 years and the most important thing in a crossfit gym, which is a community based gym, you find here. It’s like a big family. Thank you all, be back soon.”
“I really love Orangetheory! The coaches are incredibly friendly, motivating, and make every class enjoyable. The front desk staff is always welcoming, and the studio is spotless. There’s also a great sense of teamwork that keeps you accountable—if you skip a class, you definitely feel it!
The only reason I’m taking off one star has nothing to do with this studio—it’s about the corporate-designed workout structure and layout.
The classes are about 50–75% cardio, and the strength sections can feel cramped and a bit disorganized (like doing jump squats right next to someone doing push-ups). The limited space feels tight and sometimes unsafe, and the weights don’t go very heavy. This is especially noticeable with legs were often people are looking to grab 50-60 pounds.
Also, the app asks you to rate the class but doesn’t let you explain what specifically you liked or didn’t like—so it’s hard to give accurate feedback when you might love the treadmill but not the particular weights or rower.
Overall, this studio is amazing with top-notch staff and energy. The lost star is solely due to corporate programming and design, not the incredible local team!”
“10/10 recommend Synergy! A smaller gym that really is more of a community. Tons of equipment and very clean. The staff is amazing - Ray (the manager) is always so attentive and kind. I am going to miss this place so much! Always the highlight of my day!”

“I’ve been going to this location for a year and a half and could not recommend it more! The trainers are great (particularly Meredith and Ben), the facility is always looking good and the classes are challenging without being overwhelming.”
“Are you serious about powerlifting? Look no further than this hidden gem—the ultimate haven for strength enthusiasts. The equipment here transcends what you’d find in a typical commercial gym. It’s like comparing night and day. Everything is meticulously designed and, dare I say, tight. Forget the notion that a barbell is just a barbell or that a 45-pound plate is merely a 45-pound plate. This place defies those assumptions. As we age, injury prevention becomes paramount. To ensure I wasn’t compromising my squats, bench presses, and deadlifts, I booked a 2-hour technique session with Jason. Worth every penny! My high bar squat was decent, but I craved better posterior chain development through low bar squats. Jason’s personalized tweaks transformed my form from “okay” to rock-solid.Now, let’s talk bench press. It’s always been my Achilles’ heel, but Jason—a bench press monster—guided me through drills that revolutionized my approach. After just 30 minutes, I was lifting more efficiently, engaging additional stabilizing muscles, and driving the bar with newfound confidence.Surprisingly, my deadlift form needed the most work. Despite countless YouTube tutorials, nothing compared to hands-on coaching. Jason helped me recruit the right muscles, optimize leverages, and—most importantly—lift heavier weights safely. My only regret? Not seeking this guidance sooner. I eagerly await the day when I can join this gym and take my training to the next level.”

“I highly recommend Ms. Allison enough as a swim instructor. My 4-year-old son started lessons with her a few months ago, and the progress he’s made is incredible. She’s warm, patient, and has such a gentle way with young kids, making them feel comfortable right from the start.
During each 30-minute lesson, she’s fully focused on the kids, and it’s clear how much she cares about helping them succeed. Thanks to her guidance, my son now floats on his own and has totally overcome his fear of water. He actually loves swimming now and can’t wait for his lesson every week. Ms. Allison has been a true gift for us!”

“been training with Coach Gabriel for a while now, and I can honestly say he’s one of the best out there. He’s personable, respectful, and truly cares about each of his clients. He doesn’t just show up, he connects with everyone, pays attention to your form, your mindset, and your goals. You pay for quality, and that’s exactly what you get.
He’s knowledgeable, patient, and always keeps it real. He’ll push you when you need it but also reminds you that we’re all human, fighting our own battles, and that’s something I really respect. Training with him feels like more than just fitness; it’s growth, discipline, and support all in one. Highly recommend!”

“My home CrossFit gym <3 haven’t been in awhile. My partner and I both go here. Friendly for everybody. A priest, monk, and a rabbi could walk in for a CrossFit class and walk out without any problems- and that’s coming from a catholic and her gay sister {and her partner Shannon who said this place is her family who’s a nurse.} My point is this place is very inclusive for everyone, and is really about including everyone, and I mean everyone everyone. And I’d feel safe bringing family members or even my own kids here. Loved my experience here and it’s very secure. Getting in touch with them can be difficult via phone call but they reach out via text message immediately so it’s well worth the wait. The memberships are up there, but if you’re a full fledged crossfitter, you’d rather by a membership here than anywhere else. I play soccer in New York City, and on Long Island and My partner is a Police officer for the city, as well as family- and a lot of members in this gym are former military or Law enforcement or fire department members who are non-discriminatory and extremely friendly. One of the best experiences I’ve had in awhile. Worth every single dime, and worth the wait. We travel from Long Island to come here, and it’s worth it. Great job guys :) looking forward to come in soon.”
“Great place, great customer service. Friendly Team and it's not just a gym but it's like a family place and they care about their members. There are group exercises classes also like Zumba, Yoga, Bootcamp, Spinning...etc.There are many machines disponibles to all members and you don't have to wait or to be in queue. There is a free parking also and the location is easy to reach it.Thank you Matrix Fitness Club's Team.”

“Brian and Celina very helpful at the front. Zack is an excellent teacher
Kudus to Tony for keeping all the bathrooms, and showers clean.
It’s remarkable that other gyms nickel and dime you for towels but when you come to this orange theory, the towels are complimentary and the space is clean and modern.
Lastly, I love this location because it steps away from just salad a good a coffee shop and Trader Joe’s all great places to stop for a post recovery!”

“Sid's Gym assures a dynamic, immersive, and challenging workout with the use of innovative, state-of-the-art technology, alongside personalized attention and motivation from the instructor/coach, Ethan. The Sid Mill, which includes gamification elements and responds to hand gestures to adjust the speed, is a lot more engaging than a typical treadmill and easier to operate at higher speeds/incline. The gym extends beyond the physical workout - it provides a holistic experience and fosters an organic sense of community.”

“I discovered Orange ? theory through my son a little over a year ago and have been coming here ever since . I’ve never worked out in this type of gym , I was a typical gym goer for many years until Covid hit and everything changed . I stoped working out , as many did , and this was my way of getting back to what I love so much .
From the front desk staff to coaches , amazing ! Always friendly and willing to help . Safire’s energy is ? Renata’s happiness and energy is absolutely infectious , coach Michelino is awesome , Destinie is amazing and Melissa is great !
This is my therapy and relaxation all

“I love this kickboxing place. It is clean and there’s enough space. Instructors are qualified, passionate and motivational. One of my favorite trainers is Bella! Her workouts are challenging yet fun. They are never the same because she always creates new ones each session. For my ADHD girlies, 10/10.”
“Prince, Jen, Chris, and all the Trooper Coaches are one of a kind leadership team in fitness. They know you by name, they pay attention the whole class to your form, and offer UNIQUE classes. Also, they have built a community like I've never seen and throughout my fitness journey I've come back every time for over decade now. You will be sore but you will have the best workout of your life and want to come back.”
“Joined OTF in Edgewater in July 2024, but ended up injuring myself shortly after (unrelated to OTF). I had to freeze my account for a few months until I felt ready to return. It was as seamless as can be.
Shout outs to Greg and Gabe who hold the front desk like champs!
Back at it this summer ‘25 and trying to keep it up as often as possible.
Many thanks to the coaches for the motivation and push when needed, funny jokes and community spirit, and especially for correcting my form to improve that workouts.
Highly recommend the OTF in Edgewater!”

“Staff and the gym are great. Very easy going and relaxed. I’ve tried other gyms in the area and this one trumps them. Moving out of the area so had to cancel unfortunately, but would recommend to anybody in the Astoria neighborhood.”
“This is one of the nicest gyms I’ve ever been to, the machines are new and facilities are well maintained. The only thing I’m bummed about is the recent price increase, I was hoping that old members would be grandfathered in to their old rates. I think the increase is worth it for people who just use the equipment. I will give them some time to hopefully expand the classes offered and will decide if I want to continue my membership or cancel.”

“Robert Napolitano's yoga classes at Complete Body, Midtown East are excellent. Robert is an advanced yoga instructor who also has the ability to reach out to begginers like myself. Robert gives excellent customer friendly service to all, and he shows both starting, and advanced versions of positions, so that we can all participate equally, thank you Robert.”
“I've been doing this TRX group training for over a year. It's a great workout and the new trainers, Ruben and Jadis really focus on correcting your form to make sure you're using the muscles you're supposed to. All in all the Englewood Cliffs 24 hour fitness has upped their game after the renovations. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend”
