Pet Care

Willowbrook Animal Clinic
21 2 Bridges Rd, FairfieldI have been taking my dog, meatball to Willowbrook animal clinic since he was about 9 months old and we have been so happy ever since (he is 3 now)! The care and compassion all the workers have for each pet is truly shown each appointment. I highly highly recommend anyone who has any type of pet to go here. I have already recommended so many people and they have had amazing outcomes. Most pets are scared of the vet but not Meatball! He is always so excited to see everyone and I trust that he is in the best hands!

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Prime 94 SteakHouse and Grill
94 Fairfield Rd, FairfieldVery delayed review, but my wife and I went here in July for our 35th anniversary dinner off recommendation from a friend. Our friend attended culinary school and owns/manages a restaurant, and is certainly a fellow "foodie." She raved, so we went! Not disappointed at all, the service was top notch but not "in your face" in annoying fashion. I had a few beers, my wife had a cosmo or two. Started with Carpaccio and calamari, both favorites of ours and fantastic. Calamari was perfectly crunchy and tasteful, and they brought the red pepper flakes upon request. I got the prime rib, which is a Monday night special and I'm told if you don't get there by 6:30pm, you run the risk of them running out. That was truth, as the table next to us arrived 20 minutes after we ordered and were denied as they had no more. Amazing. Although a ribeye is my go to, I just couldn't resist the strong recommendation on the prime rib and I was not disappointed. My only regret was not ordering the larger portion, it was fantastic. So flavorful with a dipping sauce/gravy to die for. The long peppers my wife ordered as a side really packed a punch, wow were they good. Photo included of all! Highly recommend this place as it's somewhat relaxed environment (I wore a jacket, but many were in cargo shorts/pull over shirts. Great service, decent pricing. Give it a try.

Eatery Cafe Kitchen
1275 Bloomfield Ave Suite 82, FairfieldWhat a cool place we stumbled upon while dropping our pooch at the K9 resort.

Hollywood Pizzeria & Restaurant
376 Fairfield Rd, FairfieldThey make REAL chicken parmigiana, not the oven baked crap that other places make. The lunch specials are very very reasonable with great portions. They don't skimp just because it's a special. The only thing I would do differently, is cook the marinara sauce a little bit longer so it doesn't taste so tomatoey.

Tavern 292
292 Passaic Ave, FairfieldThis spot is a great find when you’re craving a burger and some wings. The menu offers plenty of variety, from appetizers to main courses, so there’s something for everyone. We kept it simple with burgers, wings, and French onion soup, and everything hit the mark. The standout for me was the burger—the house-made buns were excellent, and the meat was fresh, juicy, and flavorful without being greasy. It had that clean, satisfying taste you hope for in a really good burger.
Our server made the experience even better. Knowing it was our first visit, she guided us with thoughtful recommendations that felt safe for first-timers, and she was attentive throughout. The bar itself had a cozy vibe, with plenty of people enjoying their meals there—I’d definitely consider grabbing a seat at the bar next time.
The location is another plus: right near Willowbrook Mall, it’s perfect for a break during holiday shopping. You can step away from the crowds, relax, and enjoy a good meal while waiting for the kids or friends to finish up at the mall.
Price-wise, I was a little surprised that dinner for two came to about $100, with my burger around $21. But honestly, given the quality, portion size, and flavor, it felt worth it. Times have changed, and while I remember when a burger and beer ran closer to $25–30 per person, the value here is still strong.
All in all, it was a wonderful meal, and I’d absolutely come back.
