He was able to get my paint mixed in 20 minutes and I went to pick it up promptly. I know a lot of people order online, but I also highly recommend going in person and really understanding the paint and sheen you're getting with the help of employees. Thanks, Martin!”
“Amazing customer service! I needed something from the hardware store after they had already closed, and Zak, Naz, and Lou went above and beyond by opening the store back up just to help me. They were extremely kind, patient, and helpful and made sure I got exactly what I needed.
It’s rare to find this level of customer service and people who genuinely care about their customers. Zak, Naz, and Lou truly saved the day for me. I really appreciate them going out of their way, especially so late. Highly recommend this hardware store definitely deserving of 5 stars!”
“Like another reviewer said, coming in here is an experience. David and Peter are just two awesome guys of the community. It’s something out of a movie. The shop is chaotic and disorganized, sure. But they will go up and out of their way to ensure you get what you need and will give you the time of day for even odd hyper specific requests. I was trying to build a guitar pedalboard but make it very customized with a pretty specific thing in mind… but I didn’t really have exact dimensions. David spent off and on about 1-2 hours going through the store and talking me through what I needed and how to do it. Pros and cons. I personally think I can be annoying with some of the trying to understand the how and why but they don’t make you feel that way.
TL;DR: being in there feels like an irl sitcom while also getting very practical help and things.”
“Marnie was not only extremely helpful but she is the kindest person I’ve ever dealt with in retail. I came in shortly after losing my mother and husband within three weeks of each other. I was very emotional and she sat with me and helped me pick out the perfect color. I felt like I had encountered an angel. I will always come back to see her.”

“Best selection of hardware in Astoria other than going to the LIC or Lex 59th Home Depot. Prices are reasonable, $1.60 out the door for a small box of fasteners! They take credit card for sub ten dollar purchases as well.
My two gripes are 1. that not everything is labeled with a price and 2. that the hours and days of the week the store is open are limited. Other than that, no notes. Shop at local small businesses!”

“We went to Sherwin Williams Paint store this morning for the first time. When walking in, everything is organized where you can easily find what you need.
My husband was looking for a specific paint type to renovate the stairs. After discussing with the two employees, he understood what he needed and was able to order today. Thank you for the suggestions and guidance.
Anyone who is unsure on what to pick or how to go about the start of your project- ask the questions you need to know. Currently there is a sale on paints this week. We are going to buy future paints for more projects to come.
