“I went in inquiring of packaging paper not to purchase at the moment entering the store atmosphere welcoming approach a team member name Christian a true rep. of Janovic explained while taking time in pointing out the testure in each role. I need to package Canvas art work .my intention was not to purchase due in fact needing to complete a prior matter Christian did not force me only offered me services rendered. Indeed I walked out bought and yes Indeed goods and services at the exact timing were rendered Christian, (Levi) forgot his name the delivery guy and the entire support team deserve a triple 5 STAR for representing Janovic Paint &Decorating..I recommend this company highly”
“What an fantastic store and experience. Kenny helpped me and my husband get a no/low VOC paint with an exact color match from a wallpaper sample we brought in. We are also going to order some fantastic velvet wallpaper that is so rich and beautiful! Learning the store has a long, vibrant history in films, that purchased wallpaper, paints, and floor coverings, was so cool! Really great company! Even our 2 tiny dogs enjoyed the store! Whoa, we were there. A local dog named Oley stopped by for a treat. Excellent quality and great vibes all around.”

“I had what I thot was a simple fix to a goose-neck lamp that wasn’t working & I took it to Tribeca Paints for a part.
I was wrong, the fix was more involved than I had thought and Randy took care of me -spent almost 45 minutes and even a little bit after closing time! All he kept saying was “no problem, I’m gonna get you up & running…”
which he did!

I recently had the fun task of repainting my entire one bedroom apartment nearby, and having never done it before I couldn’t be more happy I came here to buy all the paint & supplies.
All of the associates there are very knowledgeable, and super helpful. Even as someone who knows very little about hardware and home improvements they are patient and clear in their explanations. Sometimes you end up at hardware stores that instantly look down on you if you don’t know what you’re doing… but that couldn’t be further than the case here.
They never try to upsell you on anything you don’t need, and just give you what you’re looking for that will do the job well. That is …. unless you tell them you are looking for the high end stuff, and then in which case they are happy to explain why it is or isn’t worth the money.
Tony, the GM, might be one of the best General Managers I’ve ever come across. I was probably in there 10 times over the course of two weeks during my painting ordeal - and he was nothing but patient, helpful, friendly, and very kind with his discounts on paint and supplies.
The Benjamin Moore Aura prices there are unbeatable. They know that entire product line like the back of their hand. My paint was ready within minutes any time I showed up there.
Can’t speak highly enough of this establishment. Looking forward to having it as my neighborhood hardware store for many years to come.”

“I'm an independent carpenter and I've used Mikco many times as their lumber is a lot cheaper than other places in the city. I really appreciate the guys at Mikco, I've gotten to know some of them on a first name basis. They're reliable with their deliveries. Even when I show up with a last minute order they do what they can to accommodate me. I recently had to drastically change one of my lumber orders last minute. My original order was already loaded on the truck ready for delivery to my job site. They changed the order and delivered later that afternoon. The guy that handled the change in transactions even called me because he discovered he owed me $18. Mikco has gained my trust and I'll continue to use them as my primary lumber supplier for bigger projects.”

“My one problem is that they don't deliver. I purchased 12 Gallons of paint and had no way to get them home. I was willing to pay for a delivery but it just wasn't available. A gallon of paint is approximately 20 pounds. Arrangements should be available for delivery.”

“S & V Hardware is a great neighborhood store. Mo and all of the other team members are friendly and welcoming, and most importantly, they know how to help you solve whatever hardware-related problem that you arrived with. They have a great inventory with things that may be hard to find, or things that you can kind of describe but you don't know what it's called.
It also has an intangible old-school neighborhood hardware store feel, which for me brings back great memories of going to the hardware store in my small hometown with my Dad when I was young.
Five stars, and well deserved.”
