A dealer and another repair shop said a new engine was needed on my 2013 Prius V; the latter offered to “dispose” of car at no cost (I suspect they would have repaired and sold it). Extensively researched shops specializing in hybrid engine repairs:

Kyle, Walko Hybrid Technician fixed my car in 2 weeks (after sitting in my driveway, for 1 year). Asked me for car symptoms:
• Check engine light displayed;
• Engine revved, without me pressing on gas;
• Jack hammer or slight fluttering noise, when accelerated from a stop (due to coolant leaking into engine and then drying up); and
• Diagnostic codes from my T-Mobile tool (engine misfires).
He provided details and pricing for me to make needed decisions. After repairs made, my car drives like new, even though it has 226,000 miles:
• Head gasket replaced;
• Water pump replaced;
• Brake master cylinder module replaced; and
• Damaged engine cylinder repaired by machine shop.
Any NJ hybrid owner, who needs car repairs should go to Walko. You won’t regret it!”

Sam took a look at my car and within minutes he asked me to pull my car next to the garage door. Sam then proceeded to work on the car door and remove the scratches! Talk about service! “John Seymour at Fullerton Ford was a pleasure to work with and made my car buying experience easy and transparent. I went to other dealerships where I felt weary and did not trust what the salespeople were saying to me, but the experience was much different at Ford. We ran into an issue where something very minor had to be tended to within the first few weeks of delivery and the service/sales department made sure I was taken care of, going above and beyond to make sure the issue was resolved. The process was seamless and they even provided a shuttle for me to get home and car delivery so I barely had to adjust my work day. I am so excited to have my first Bronco and a solid dealership behind me makes me excited for my future Broncos to come :)”

Give him any car he will dissect it up for you whether it's a motorhaul, transmission swap, any other repair, etc. No gimmicks here it is what is honest upfront. “Great experience here. I came in for simple maintenance, just a simple oil change and plugging a hole in a tire, but I'm happy I chose this shop. Lowest price in town, plus fast service. The job only took 20 minutes, meanwhile most other places said it would be 45 minutes to an hour. Besides that, the mechanic (Tim, I think his name was) topped off my windshield washer fluid and gave me 4 tire stem caps for free and without me asking. He also advised me on possible issues to look out for regarding the make and model of my car. It was a simple job, sure, but the price and service left a good impression.”
