“I cannot say enough wonderful things about working with Lance and the Lee Myles team for 10+ years now. My experience with them last week proved, yet again, why I still drive an hour from where I live to have them service my car.
Lance came up clutch (no pun intended) when I was in a real bind after my check engine light came on over the weekend. Monday morning, he told me to bring it right in — and not only did the shop look at it ASAP, but they diagnosed the issue that day.
As it turned out, the active grille shutter on my 2019 Nissan Altima was malfunctioning and required complete replacement. He took the time to explain the diagnostic process, the error code, and how it could affect my Altima in the short- and long-term. Let me just say, I wish doctors would explain things as well as Lance does!
My estimate with parts and labor was close to $1,200, and while I told Lance to proceed with the repair, he took it upon himself to dig deeper into it before moving forward. I’m so grateful he went the extra mile, as he discovered it was actually covered at 100% by a special Nissan extended warranty.
Lance called me to tell me the good news and that it could be repaired at no cost to me, but unfortunately, it could only be handled by Nissan dealership — which meant he was losing business by being transparent and honest. He also called Nissan Corporate to confirm and provided me with their number so I could open a case before going to a dealership. Lance was even kind enough to tell me which ones were close by.
Knowing that I had to take my car to a dealership going into Memorial Day weekend, Lance expedited other issues that needed to be addressed, namely oil and filter change plus replacing a bad relay related to my ABS. I got my car back from Lee Myles by Wednesday, and thanks to Lance, I was able to squeeze my repair into a dealership AND had my car good as new by Friday afternoon. It’s worth noting that Lance also cleared all my error codes except for the active grille shutter to ensure that Nissan’s techs would see it populate — and the dealership told me they were very appreciative of that.
Once again, Lance and his team impressed me with their professionalism and how accommodating they are! I can always count on them to take great care of my Altima and provide honest service. Every experience is a great one. Thank you so much, Lance and team!”

“I went to 3 different transmission shops before deciding on this shop! I'll start with this: the difference in price from this shop to the highest quote I got was $6,145. The difference in price to the second shop was $2,400! Needless to say, this shop is very affordable! Second, Mike (I believe is the owner) great communication, flexibility, explanation of everything and accommodating. Sean (I think this is how you spell it), the mechanic was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, gave his professional opinion and advised us on what to do as far as caring for the transmission going forward. “I'm into my eighth decade on this rock and have thus been to dozens of auto repair shops with various vehicles. Top Line Auto Care takes me back to when auto repair garages and mechanics were EXACTLY that. No fancy bells and whistles, just a good shop with competent staff and mechanics. Having a desk clerk handle the non-wrench part of the business is a big plus, for the boss and us customers.
This was my first visit to Top Line after being recommended by a friend who had an engine replaced. I brought my daughter's car in for diagnosis of an issue and appraisal of what to do with it. They even squeezed it in just ahead of going on vaycay! The car was inspected, the problem found, repair process explained and price quoted. I green-lighted the work and later that day it was fixed good as new at the bottom line I was quoted. How often does THAT happen today??

“I recently brought my 1972 Ford F100 to J & B Transmission and Auto Repair after noticing some irregularities in how the truck was shifting at lower speeds. Jim and Brian were absolutely fantastic. After a quick test drive, they diagnosed the issue right away — the transmission vacuum was connected to the wrong port on the carburetor. It had been hooked up to the port vacuum instead of the manifold vacuum.
They corrected the issue on the spot, and I immediately noticed a major improvement in how the truck drove. To top it off, they did all of this at no charge!
Their knowledge, honesty, and commitment to doing right by their customers truly set them apart. J & B Transmission and Auto Repair is hands down the best transmission shop in New Jersey. Highly recommended!”
