But I guess it was just me telling everyone what I am about to say here.I have been going to this place for quite awhile ever since I took steak cooking seriously.I been to many around NJ, PA, NY. And I thank the heavens this is one of the top 2 places ever nearby for me. I am an honest man when it comes to food. I wouldn't go elsewhere in NJ for steak but here.Meat is fresh, there's many quality, and choices and selections. They have dry aged steak here that they do themselves in a proper equipment. Looks incredible.They even have A5 Japanese wagyu here. Enough said, If you are looking for Steak...Come here.”

“I was looking for a smoked ham for Christmas and came across Joe’s Meat Market.I spoke with Betty and she assured me that the ham had no preservatives it. I ordered the ham and went I went to pick it up she showed me how and where they smoked all of their meat.The ham was great and I will be back for some corned beef for St. Patrick’s Day.”

“If you want a delicious fresh sandwich or salad in a pleasant and quiet environment, I suggest here! This is my current go-to lunch spot. My favorite sandwich is chicken salad on a croissant. The chicken salad has red grape slices in it which I just can't get enough of. I love the mandarin pineapple side salad too. It's so tangy and refreshing. The interior is modern and clean. It's usually quiet. There's a big free parking lot in front on this restaurant. Staff is welcoming and friendly. This restaurant has a rewards program. In addition to fresh food options, you can find frozen meals and desserts.”

“I've been getting ALL of my beef and chicken here for years, so this review is not based off one or two good experiences. It's based on more than I could possibly count. I would recommend them to absolutely anyone without any reservations. If they have it - it's fresh. Everything is displayed and prepared right in front of you. Add to that the fact that it is a family run business - you're being helped by an owner every single time. There is also no shortage of other staples like rice, lentils, olives, tea etc. right there. “In the sleepy little town of South River, who knew that you could find a treasure trove of authentic Portuguese restaurants, cafes, and bakeries. Cavaco Supermarket is known in town as the go-to Portuguese deli, grocery, and bakery. The shelves are even stocked with products imported from Portugal. On the front counter, you'll find a variety of fresh baked breads, codfish fritters and turnovers, pastries, as well as of course espresso. In addition, they are a churrasqueria and offer delicious BBQ chicken, served in a giant tray over rice and fries. Their pastries, such as their bola de berlim and pastel de nata I'm not too much of a fan of compared to other spots in town, but their chicken and codfish fritter was delicious and their fries are even fresh cut. Take a look at their various imported goods and merchandise and you'll certainly be surprised!”

“UPDATE:I received a call from the owner within 24 hours of this review (on a Sunday). She offered to do whatever she could to make this right. Fortunately, we placed the product in the freezer, so no harm. I will order again for another try based on this response.My customer service experience was very different than others leaving a review. I placed an order in the summer to be shipped. My husband is a Jersey native and I wanted to surprise him. When the order was received, there was some insulation and two ice packs. It was brought right inside the house, but the Texas heat and time in delivery vehicle were unforgiving. The product did not feel cold so we temped it and it was 66 degrees. My husband immediately put it in the freezer and I reached out to the company to find out if it would be considered safe to eat. Some processed meats do not require refrigeration and I wasn’t sure about this one. We received no response, no follow up to multiple emails and no return calls. Completely ghosted!”
