Atlantic at Newport

Apartments
Hours: Atlantic at Newport is a building with many positive features and some notable issues. Located in a prime area in Jersey City, it offers great views of the river and is surrounded by well-maintained landscaping. The building is kept clean, and residents feel safe, with friendly staff at the front desk who are kind to residents. Many residents appreciate the quiet atmosphere and the absence of pests like roaches. However, the building is quite old, which is evident in the fixtures, such as window screens that block some views. Heating can be a problem during winter, as the units rely on outside air heating, which becomes ineffective when temperatures drop very low. Some residents have experienced stress due to bedbug infestations and felt that management was unfriendly about the issue. Construction work around the building, including painting, drilling, and pool construction, occurs frequently, often resulting in strong paint smells that linger for hours, which can be concerning for health. Overall, Atlantic at Newport offers a scenic and secure living environment but is affected by ongoing construction and outdated fixtures.
