Both instances were comprehensive claims and the team did an excellent job repairing and painting the vehicle.Chris was great with this latest repair. Since I was having brake issues which could have been an easy fix or a major repair, I wanted to go to someone who is trustworthy, reliable and honest, something I have not found in most mechanics in my experience. A good friend of mine recommended Dave's Auto Repair since he's taken his car there for the last 20 years. And I took that as an excellent voucher to try them out. I was NOT disappointed!!!Marisol is an angel, and the workers at this shop are heavenly! All staff with whom I came in contact were polite, friendly, professional, thoughtful and caring, and the cost of replacing a brake line and bleeding the system was 1/10th of what a local mechanic quoted me. (I live over 30 minutes away from Jersey City, but the trip and the cost of an uber while they worked on my 25-year old Honda CR-V was well worth it!) “I'm not local to here, was coming from Brooklyn to visit a friend in New Brunswick. Just got out of the Holland Tunnel and while climbing the Pulaski Skyway bridge the car (Honda Civic 5-speed, 2001, low mileage) started losing power and check engine light came on. Barely made it to a truck stop in a heavily industrial area, they said I'd find a car repair shop on Communipaw Ave. I came across Mike's Auto and boy, did I luck out with the right choice. Anthony and crew analyzed the problem with the computer (failing camshaft sensor), got the part, installed it, test drove it and got me on my way. Great expertise and service, fair price, and very helpful and personable people. They really got me out of a jam and back to Brooklyn. I recommend them without reservation.”

“Cars were parked and hit. The first car fixed was my wife's Lexus suv. Sandy did such a good job and kept all of the old parts to show me. The paint job was a perfect match to her burgundy lexus. The second vehicle was a Honda odyssey. The entire bumper needed to be replaced. Sandy matched the paint, and also took care of some paint scratches around the van. He did a great job and his prices are not only competitive but better than professionals with his caliber of expertise and experience.”

“I felt I needed to write a review because after reading the other reviews here, I lost some sleep thinking this was going to be a multi-visit super expensive pain to deal with, especially because it was a rental car that got towed. I called them beforehand, asked what info I needed, called the rental car company and got the documents, went over around 9am, and was in and out. The guy was friendly and helpful. The car was not damaged or anything. They even accept credit cards - so they're easier to work with than my laundromat that only accepts cash :). Getting your car towed sucks, but this was as good of an experience as I could have hoped for all things considered.”

“They do great work for a very low price here. Very nice people and reliable. It was too expensive elsewhere to get rid of all the fender dents and scratches and holes my bumper endured from urban street parking, but they offered a price far better than any shops in the area. Stephanie in the office is very helpful and accommodating. They did such a good job at a great price that I brought my other family members over to get their cars fixed up. Our cars look like new now at a reasonable price. They are a great local business that I can recommend without reservation. We were lucky to find this place after getting in a fender bender with someone who recommended this place. Went to three other places for estimates but they were the lowest by far. Cash only.”

“Honest. Dependable. Trustworthy. Affordable. Timely. Everything you could possibly want in an auto-repair shop or in an emergency towing situation. My SUV wouldn't start in a parking garage in Hoboken, NJ. A&L Auto Body was the only shop willing to drive their tow truck into the narrow garage to try to get it out. After making multiple trips to the garage to test various solutions, they were actually able to fix my car (when AAA couldn't), helping me avoid all costs associated with towing. If A&L wasn't able to step up, I have no idea what I would have done to get that car out of that garage. My experience with them was perfect, and I highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of a tow or any sort of car repair/maintenance.”

“I just got back from Sernio's and had to write a review - they have such a kind, hard working staff and really try to do the best job possible - it was my first time bringing our Volvo in to them after a wacky run-in with a lady/scooter/shopping carts and I was nervous about the price and service. I got a great deal on both, and also the chance to meet my very first body-shop kitty cat with a strong work ethic (the little guy handles front entrance). I highly recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their vehicle!”
