“Everything was good in our room, except there was no grass nearby for our dog to use the bathroom. We stopped by the dog park, but found it really gross. All of the planters in the neighborhood were either too high or fenced off. We ended up hiring a dog sitter for the day and our dog was able to go to the bathroom in another neighborhood. No complaints about our room or bathroom. The hotel is a 16-minute walk to the ferry which we took to Liberty Island.”

“I had a wonderful experience at DoubleTree Jersey City, and I especially want to recognize Latoya at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, Latoya was incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful. She has a natural way of making people feel comfortable and genuinely cared for. No matter what I needed, she was patient, attentive and always willing to help with a smile. What stood out to me most was how genuine she was. Her kindness never felt forced or simply part of the job. She pays attention to the little things, treats people with respect and makes you feel like a valued guest rather than just another room number. I sincerely hope the hotel management recognizes what an exceptional employee they have in Latoya. Great hotels are not only about the rooms or the location they are about the people who make guests want to return. Latoya is absolutely one of those people and a wonderful representative of DoubleTree and Hilton. Thank you again, Latoya, for your kindness and outstanding hospitality. “My friend and I came to the Sonesta tonight to enjoy a mini vaca. When we arrived, there was a beautiful friendly girl at the front desk. With a big smile, she quickly checked us in. Sadly, while we were parking, my friend got an emergency call about her mother and we had to leave urgently. Once home, I called the hotel to see if there was anything they could go. The girl at the front desk answered and was so kind, compassionate and helpful. She immediately called her general manager and they approved crediting us for another night. It is heartwarming that we were treated with such decency on an already rough night. We will definitely be booking at Sonesta again within the next few weeks. So happy to know there’s people in the world that still care and have compassion for others. Makes this tough world a little lighter. Thank you Christina Comito for being so amazing. Much appreciation.”

“Great place to stay. Close to one Path station and a bit farther to another one which runs later into the night. The stay was great but be warned to pay your whole bill up front, which ive never had to do at a holiday inn before. Also we had limited breakfast due to a broken oven.”

“This hotel has a convenient location, especially if you plan to visit NYC without a car. The walking distance to the PATH Station is less than 5 minutes. If you enjoy Indian food, there are numerous Indian restaurants nearby, offering a variety of options. The rooms appear to have been newly renovated and were clean, featuring comfortable beds, flat-screen TVs with cable channels, microwave and a mini-fridge. I appreciated the 24/7 front desk service and the free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a great place to stay, and we enjoyed it. I highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in the Jersey City/New York area.”

“We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and clean our room was—it was essentially a two-bedroom suite! The location is excellent, just a short walk from a PATH station with direct service into Manhattan, as well as plenty of nearby shops and restaurants. Street parking was relatively easy to find, although you may need to circle the block a few times. Most impressive of all was the customer service. We accidentally left a small insulated cooler bag in the mini fridge, and after we contacted the hotel, management promptly mailed it back to us free of charge. We were blown away by their kindness and responsiveness. We would happily stay here again the next time we’re in the area. It’s a clean, spacious, and affordable option for anyone who wants convenient access to NYC!”
