The United States Postal Service at 69 Montgomery St is a functional retail location offering walk-in passport services. Experiences with staff can vary; some customers report employees who seem a bit frustrated or occasionally rude, while many others describe them as incredibly pleasant, helpful, friendly, professional, super helpful, and very nice. Service is generally fine and gets the job done, with some noting it can be slow but also very fast for specific transactions like passports. The location is praised as the friendliest and most helpful by a regular business shipper. A disappointing note is that postcards are not sold on-site, though mailing them is affordable. Overall, it is a decent and functional post office where managing expectations is advised, but many have amazing and great experiences, finding it easy for those who know what they are doing.
It's unfortunate this PO is so mismanaged. Such a beautiful building in a great location. Rude staff, long lines, worth the time to go elsewhere to keep your energy clear of this place

One star is generous! The staff has horrible attitudes, I’m not sure why it’s become the norm that post offices are so unbearable and the people working there hate everything. It’s such a shame and the lack of organization in this specific location makes a constant line to the door. Something needs to change.

Each time I’ve gone they’ve been fair. I think they’ve seen the complaints about “only one person” to man the queue, and in recent times there’s 2-3 employees working the line.
