“I highly recommend this store for your mattress. We bought a mattress for my mother in law and the day it was delivered she went into the hospital and unfortunately passed away.
The delivery guys were so nice with her as she was very elderly.
Anyway, we exchanged the mattress for another one for us and the salesperson ( Sue) was so professional, accommodating and friendly.
I highly recommend their establishment.”

“I found out about you when my husband and I stayed at a Bed and Breakfast. We lived the pillows, so while getting ready for check-out, I pulled all the pillow cases out to see the tag on their pillows. And ah ha! The Phoenix Down Shop. Today I have 2 regular soft pillows and 2 king medium pillows we use as body pillows.
I’ve seen dozens of ads about other “new technology” pillows and it gives me a chuckle because I (finally) have AMAZING pillows.”

Amanda truly went the extra mile to listen to my concerns, understand the problems I was having with the service department, and most importantly, take action to find a solution.
Amanda connected me with Dennis from the P.C. Richard Service Department, who was also excellent. Together, Amanda, Dennis, and their team quickly organized a plan to have technicians come to my home and get the necessary repairs completed.
What impressed me most was their willingness to take ownership of the situation instead of simply passing the problem along. I sincerely hope P.C. “I’ve purchased multiple pieces of furniture from Value City Furniture over the years, roughly from 2019 through 2024, so I’m very familiar with this location. In the past, the shopping experience sometimes felt a little overwhelming with employees closely following customers around the store. However, during my most recent visit, I noticed a completely different approach — and honestly, it made a huge difference.
The staff acknowledged me when I walked in but allowed me the space to browse comfortably. I was able to take my time walking through the showroom, sit in chairs, try out recliners, and really picture how different pieces might fit into my home without feeling pressured. That level of freedom created a relaxed environment and made the experience far more enjoyable.
I truly believe more furniture stores should adopt this model. Many shoppers come in with ideas or inspiration but aren’t quite ready to make a decision. Sometimes you just need to see it, sit in it, and experience it for yourself before asking for assistance. Knowing help is available without it being forced on you is the perfect balance.
Although I didn’t find exactly what I was looking for this time, the visit reinforced why I’ve continued to shop here over the years. The improved customer experience did not go unnoticed.
I will absolutely be back when the right piece comes along..

“Veteran's Day sale price for Catalina double reclining sofa, $850. Black Friday sale price $697. Delivery set for Dec 5th. We will see if it arrives on time. Dominick at the Fairfield NJ store wouldn't match the Black Friday price or remove the $100 delivery charge. Customer lost forever!
Dominick was bothered by how things were left. He went out of his way to talk to management to have the price with adjusted. The couch was delivered on time December 5th and we are very happy with it! Original rating of 2 stars changed to 4 stars. Thank you Dominick for your help!”
