“We enjoyed our stay at Lamplight Inn.
The location is perfect! close to restaurants, shops, one block from the beach.
Easy check in with a friendly staff. The room was clean. It had a microwave, refrigerator and blow dryer. The bed is a bit firm but comfortable. We were on the first floor, you can hear the people above us walking around. Definitely recommend staying here.”

“I had posted a poor review before talking with new owners and I am bad. I reacted before giving them a chance to take care of my concerns.
The next day they took care of everything. Just goes to say when you talk you can resolve issues.
They did a great job with my issues.
I want to apologize for my old review, I should not have written it.
So All I can say they did a great job and I say I am sorry and best of luck in your futures.

“I stayed on the second floor for three nights over the past Memorial Day weekend, and I must say that this place surpassed my expectations.

My room was clean, my bed was very comfortable, I was provided a small fridge, and there was plenty of hot water to shower. I was a little shocked and was ok with the fact that there wasn't a hair dryer or coffee maker in the room like other hotels I have stayed in the past. I was also ok with the smaller TV with basic cable channels as I don't watch much television anyway as I am out of the room a good amount of time during the day.

The hotel has a ground floor pool, offers breakfast, has plenty of parking, and it is super close to the beach and boardwalk activities. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the price to stay here was pretty reasonable as well, in my opinion.

The only thing that was an issue that could be easily fixed is the entrance door to the room. It was a bit heavy to push in, and when closing, you have to insert your key and turn the lock to keep it from slamming loudly. Other than that, this is a pretty good place to stay and would book another room here again in the future.”

“What a memorable stay for my husband & I who celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Everything was perfect! We were greeted by Tony who was with us throughout our stay with the upmost welcoming manner. Our room was beautiful and relaxing and impeccable which made our stay even more comfortable. Breakfast was amazing the two mornings, the presentation was beautiful and so delicious. I would highly recommend staying here, the location is also so convenient but more so for the hospitality and the feeling of feeling welcomed. We will definitely be back!”

“This place is is close to the beach and restaurants, driving about 3 minutes, walking like 24 minutes. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The room was very clean and smelled good. They have parking. I had a great experience for one night. The only inconvenience was that at midnight I could hear the voices of people from outside. There were people talking outside my door, that’s all.”

“As a family of four with a one-year-old and a three-year-old we stayed in their oceanfront room on the second floor. The view is absolutely stunning and you can’t ask for a better location! It is so clean inside I was fine with my one year-old crawling around on the carpet. This place is a hidden gem. The decor hasn’t been updated for a really long time but the beds and carpets and bathroom were so clean and it was perfect for a budget family vacation!! Hopefully the new owners keep it the same way or just make a few updates because it would be a shame if this hidden gem were to go away!!! We hope we get the chance to come back next year as we just discovered Windswept!!”

Not only did Sam upgrade us due to an overbooking at Boardwalk Beach Hotel, but we were also allowed to stay past checkout time on the beach due to the previous days' crummy weather. “Absolutely in love with this little gem of a hotel! The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Everyone is really kind and chill. Just stayed two nights with my young son and we had a blast. Our original planned vacation got cut short due to a family emergency, so I came in a bit bummed we wouldn't be able to make the most of our time. But! The location is right next to the amusement park, water park, mini golf, boardwalk, beach, everything, so we were able to do even more than planned. Our rooms were simple but very clean and had excellent A/C. The pool was my six year old's favorite, I think it's bigger than other hotels in the area that I saw, large pool deck and lots of families with young kids splashing together, and it's open till 9. There's a CVS a block away and from our room we could see the sunrise and sunset. I also recommend Jimmy's Breakfast for a diner breakfast. Perfect mini-vacation, can't wait to come back.”

“I stayed here last summer and it was fantastic, the room was clean, the employees are friendly and good with giving towels and other toiletries without being up in your grill lmao. Stayed for 3 days and extended it another day with no issue. The kitchen is clean and functional as well. The best part was being walking distance away from the boardwalk and the beach. Can't wait to book my vacation here this year?”

“Simple, clean and quiet. Emphasis is the Beach, as it should be. Makes you feel like it's just you and the beach. Restaurants within walking distance. Very affordable. Staff always pleasant and helpful. I am very disappointed that private homes and condos will be replacing this treasure. Another jewel removed in the name of progress.”

“The motel is in a perfect location. Across the street from the beach.Our first contact was Diane last august, we were looking for a place for 12 of us,family and friends. She showed us around ,we loved it and she really sold the place as far as security and a nice family oriented motel. We booked 5 rooms. All next to each other. We checked in august 25, and met Stella at the front desk. She was an absolute pleasure . She explained how everything worked and all the highlights. She has a fantastic personality and was so welcoming.They have coffee and bagels all day,plenty of parking.The pool was beautiful.The weather was fantastic ,the ocean was fabulous. This was a beautiful vacation for us all.We went on the boardwalk at night ,fireworks,rides,games,ice cream. If you go to seaside park on vacation give this place a try .When you go tell Diane and Stella pat says hi ,see you next summer??”

“Only reason i dont give 5 stars is because its pretty small for the price they charge . But the staff here are amazing . Super nice. the rooms are clean no bugs nothing. Location is good there is a waterpark in walking distance and the hotel has a small pool as well that guest can go in and its never crowed at all . Its a nice place to stay for a few nights.”

“This hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from the boardwalk. The pool is large and very well maintained. I accidentally left my suitcase behind, and the owner kindly recovered and kept it safe until I could return--something I really appreciated. While some reviews mention the hotel could use a few updates, it was a great fit for me and my family. We also felt secure thanks to the onsite security.”

“What an incredible time we had here! Amazing rate, amazing & friendly customer service, adorable room with ice cold air conditioning. It was literally a block from the beach with a perfect pool with tons of new floats to use. Pool was open until the late evening so we were able to cool off and relax in the pool after spending the day on the beach. The front desk were so friendly and didn't rush us out at all during check out. Check in and check out process was so quick and simple. There were tons of restauraunts all around to eat at. We took a nice stroll on the Boardwalk late night and it was so peaceful to be right back so close to the hotel. Thank you so much for making our mini vacation an awesome start to the Summer! ?? ?”

“I don’t kno what u guys are talking about.. Sea garden is the best place to stay Eric his brother and mom are wonderful. been going there for 5 yrs now and will continue we just got back from a 14 day stay there I don’t have one complaint. The motel is so clean and everything u ask for they give it to u in 5 min. I would recommend this motel to everybody.They have patients with kids I know for a fact I bring my 6 grandkids there every year. The rooms are very clean. People complain about them being rude well they have to keep some kind of control over the premises u want to stay where there’s fights and drunk people walking around at night yelling I don’t so grow up people it’s a great place .”

“My family stayed overnight here this past week and we had a great experience. The room was clean and it’s in a great location. We had the Oceanside room and it was a great view. The man in the office, Mo, was so friendly and helpful. There was an issue with the smoke detector and he fixed it right away. I will definitely stay again.”

“My 4 friends and i had a time to say the least!
There was an Odor but over time you get used to it. Though the couch had multiple mysteries stains and had a lot of sand. I couldn’t ask for a better place to enjoy my cold iced beatbox and play twister. Thank u to the lovely neighbors. Three Seventeen forever!!!!”

“I’m going to rate 3 stars for now because I actually haven’t stayed here yet. I will be with my son this coming week. I was just trolling and reading the reviews and was shocked to see so many complaints about extra charges. Come on people read!!!! I must say me and my son pick a different place every year when we go to try out. This is actually the only place that we have booked that doesn’t charge resort fee upfront, that’s great option for some, as for parking as well it is clearly stated when renting your room all the fees involved. Parking and resort are optional. They also have fees listed to rent grills and grilling equipment . Stop giving a place a bad review because you failed to read the fine print . As for people that book by phone maybe they should explain the extra fees but honestly are u really booking by phone without looking at the website? They have it all posted. I was happy to see we take the train and won’t pay the parking fee, also still debating about the resort fee since I like to stroll for breakfast and we may not have time to enjoy the pool because most of our visit we will be spending with family that lives in the area. I no the location. Perfect for train riders and perfectly close to center of boardwalk, also right in the center tons of food options away from the boardwalk.
Updated review!!! Check in receptionist was very nice and helpful, Other workers were friendly and would say good morning. Internet is not really great and we only got it when in the court yard. A few handles on our dresser drawer were broken off.Overall our stay was very comfortable. The beds didn’t hurt our backs in the morning .The room was more spacious than expected, the shower water preasure was much better than most. They give you soap but no shampoo or conditioner, but I always bring my own anyway.The pool is the biggest at any place we have stayed at so far In the area as well as the patio around it. The ac worked from thermostat which was very nice. The place was very clean. It’s an older place but you can still see the care they put into trying to keep it nice.”

“The staff was amazing. The fellow guests were all friendly, too. Everyone enjoyed the pool. The rooms were exactly what we needed to enjoy a weekend at the beach and boardwalk. The TV didn't work. It was really only a drag for the kids at night, but it wasn't the worst.”
