“I like the Hotel and for the price it is pretty resonable. Never had a complaint about staff however, I have had a few incidents when I felt there should have been more supplies in the rooms. Hint: add a few more towels and face cloths. Create a quality control. Shampoo, soap and conditioner goes a long way when it comes to service. To the management or review person..... Its clear that you have a vested interest in these reviews. Professionaly, your responses to the bad reviews should not be so emotional with the hint of sarcasm attached. You will get bad reviews in any business from guest, disgruntal employees, enemies and competition. The key is to rise above and let the good reviews be your response. You have more good reviews than bad.”

“Excellent location. Yes, you can use this hotel as a base of operations to explore New York City. It is directly across the street from the PATH Train, and you can be in NYC in about 20 minutes. The parking situation is also good, and they charge a small fee which is a fraction of what you would pay in NYC. It is easy to get in and out of the garage. The service here is also excellent, the free breakfast is much better than the average motel, and there are 3 or 4 good restaurants adjacent. The quality of the room is also superior. Clean, comfortable, quiet, with a full kitchen, full sofa and sitting area, big screen TV, wifi and heat/ac worked perfectly. Nice bathroom with walk in shower. They also have good security and I did not notice any crime or chaos in the area. I commuted easily into NYC every day and overall had a great experience.Safety: Felt safe the entire time”

This is my 6th stay in past 6 years and I enjoy everytime I come here. The only downside is that they’ve stopped serving morning breakfast.”

“Very quick stay for a funeral. I checked in late and was greeted and checked in by Kevin. He was so kind and friendly. Upon entering the room, I realized it was way too hot. The AC was not functioning properly. Kevin was immediately there to check it out and switch me to another room in minutes. So appreciative for the excellent customer service! The second room unfortunately had similar issue (not as bad). Restaurant is also very nice! Staff very kind. They were closing but were accommodating to a quick take out beverage which was very nice.”

“I recently stayed at this hotel while attending a conference at the Prudential Center, and I must say, the location is excellent—just four blocks away and nestled in a quiet, peaceful area that I truly appreciated. It felt safe walking around at night.

The service was exceptional, particularly from Roberto at the front desk, who expertly assisted me with my reservation and ensured a smooth stay. Margarita, who worked the night shift, was equally delightful, addressing all my needs with a warm demeanor.

The rooms are spacious, and I especially loved the bright bathroom; the lighting was fantastic. If you’re attending a conference at the Prudential Center or have business meetings in the area, I highly recommend this hotel, largely thanks to Roberto’s outstanding service.

“I've been coming here for many years. I absolutely love this place. I just love a jacuzzi. This time I stayed in a honeymoon suite. It had a waterfall. I will always visit this place. It's my go to when I need to relax.”

“Great place to stopover. Our flight got cancelled and we got a last-minute booking. It pays to be a Hilton Honors member, as we were afforded a late check out since we got there so late! Clean room, good reasonably-priced made-to-order breakfast, and pleasant staff. Recommend!!”

“Things are just too expensive, cheeseburger and fries at $25. Too rich for normal people to enjoy a vacation.

Nearby activities: None, unless you are flying

Walkability: If you want to play Frogger across 3 lanes of airport traffic or tke the shuttle.”

“I typically try to steer clear of Staten Island, but I've got to admit: the Hampton Inn & Suites/Staten Island came in super clutch when we faced last minute schedule changes....and they were warm and welcoming to boot. Their warm breakfast (with a variety of options to make everyone happy) is great, tasty, plentiful....and free! The location isn't the most accessible, in my opinion, but their grounds and such are lovely. Also, there is a Hilton Garden Inn across the lot that has a proper restaurant that seems pretty popular (they take reservations).
I really enjoyed my week there and very much recommend this location to others seeking accommodations in the Staten/Central (coastal-ish) Jersey area.”

“My mom and I stayed here a few weeks ago. I was impressed with the size of our room. Breakfast is included and there is a great variety. The front desk people are friendly and nice especially Przemek, very nice young man.
Centrally located to town where there’s plethora of coffee shops, restaurants and stores and the train station is steps away. Very comfortable.”

“Convenient place to stay if you're working close by as we were. Not a lot around to do. Food options aren't great either. Feels like a very compact hotel. Does the job, but not near the top of my list for HIE's.”

“Honestly, it was a great hotel for the price. Although the air in the rooms was a bit dry for my liking, everything else was amazing. Firstly, the rooms although a bit on the older style of design, they had plenty of amenities and were well maintained; furthermore, looked around and saw they were clean and there weren't any sign of bedbugs or anything like that. They have a good selection of breakfast options ranging from bagels to bacon. The location could be a bit better, but the service made up more than adequately for that. Overall would highly recommend.”

“This is my third stay at this Hilton. when I arrived the first time 2 months ago, I was greeted by the Manager- Carlann Scala.
Why do I remember this? My welcome was as if I was arriving at my cousins house: warm, friendly ( and professional!) this was true for the rest of the stall as well. I can’t say that about most other hotels I’ve stayed in.
The upper Managment should be proud of the was she runs this Hotel.
Personal service and warmth is something that is sorely lacking in many leisure industry businesses these days, and yes, I will be spreding the word amongst my colleagues.
Thank You
Steven Stern MD

Food and drinks: Lorenzo’s cafe was my go to dinner place
About 2 times this week.
Food was good for what it was, fairly priced
and lovely staff and atmosphere”

“We are very pleased choosing to stay/booked for this property. The price was reasonable but and accomodation was great, specially the customer service from the check-in to check out. Thier attendants were all helpful and I would like to special mentioned Alexandra, we missed our turn to get into the place the day of checked in and it was a bit stressful to get the right direction when you missed it. When I called for a help she stayed patiently on the phone with us and listened to us carefully so she helped us the best way she can.”

“I had a wonderful stay at the Crowne Plaza Newark. The service was outstanding, with Gladys, Diana, and Molly all going above and beyond to ensure a great experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable , which was helpful for my stay that had an early morning trip out of EWR the next day . The staff’s friendliness truly stood out, and I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you for the excellent hospitality!”

“Excellent location for the prison. A bit isolated otherwise. However there's a bar with food and alcohol to hold you over of you're just waiting for a flight.”

“I can't believe that I have to stay here for two weeks before I can get my room clean and my sheets changed. Who does that two weeks. I do not sleep on my sheets more than 3 days and when they are soiled after sex they are changed the same night. That is the reason we get double beds, so that we can soil one bed and sleep in the other.

Rooms: My room was not cleaned , the head boards were dirty. There is a pen on the floor next to the bed that was not cleaned up.”

“This is not open for public anymore it is not the Riviera hotel it is now called Newark emergency housing they help a lot of homeless people have a lot of services to offer everyone from 224 sussex ave AKA The help center was transferred to this building among others. There are a bunch of stores to choose from in close vicinity, the rooms are nice however some changes could be made I will not speak on that just yet, so far it is going good I will leave another review in Due Time as I attain more information... It's ran by catholic charity's who has wonderful people working for them ?”

“Great location! In walking distance to everything with a beautiful park across the street. Rooms were lacking...AC was set at fixed temp and no coffeepot or microwave. We asked 3 days in a row for additional pillows but they never brought them, even when I offered to wait for them downstairs. Overall I slept well and that's the purpose of a hotel right? For that reason it gets 4 stars. Safe and enjoyable location

Food & drinks: Restaurant downstairs and nearby are all very nice.

Noteworthy details: Beautiful details in this hotel. Even the public bathroom.”
