“I always feel welcome, a most see if you like reading and theatre. This is a wonderful place to grab a drink and a pastry and enjoy a good read. People are kind and creative, artistic vibes of artists that live and wanna make it in the city. The brewed coffee is not my favorite but there is a variety of options.”

42 W 17th St, New York“Fantastic independent children's book store! Their selection is great, with plenty of standards as well as less common titles and many local authors. The staff is super helpful, has in depth knowledge of the inventory and offers suggestions based on reading preferences. Also have many older and first addition books and collectibles.”
“Very nice selection of children's books in addition to a smaller adult section. The owner Chris has good recommendations. They also have an online ordering platform which is very convenient.”

84 W 120th St, New York“Needed a bday gift real quick. I was so happy to see a toy & book store right on Lenox & I didn’t have to walk to 25th????. Very cute store with a variety of unique toys & books. I recommend.”
“Impressed with the reno (I haven't been here since H.S. soooo a long time) and the selection of international fiction novels. Some of the staff at checkout can be super unhelpful though.”
“A wonderful selection of unique books, zines, and art. These books very much fit within the “art book” category, with some opening up from a cover made of cardboard into an accordion binding, while others consist of maze-like infrastructures that make the contents complimentary to the art of the binding itself. They have beautiful prints in the back, with some for sale. And a wonderful little “book machine” that gets you a sweet little bobble that holds a mini zine! I highly recommend adding this place to your to-go list if you’re new to the area or just stopping through.”

“A cozy, neighborhood gem of a bookstore and decided I found a new favorite. Though the selection of fiction are not that extensive, I love how they have book recommendations, bargain options, and blind date with a book available. The basement was dedicated mostly for young adult and children books. They also have a stationary, gift items and random trinkets which I also love!”
“Great store for books AND records. The owner is very nice too. I’ve been three times and found gems every time. Bonus: the coffee shop down the block and the taco place across the street are also worth checking out. Have yourself a great afternoon!”

“This young man named Charlie showed my Wife and I some great tricks with amazing showmanship. My first time at this wonderful store and I look forward to coming back as soon as possible. Was excited to come here and you my friend made it that much better. Thank you Charlie!”
“Adam is a rare and exquisite find. His preparation, knowledge, and forthright delivery of advice is to be treasured. I realize that he is a very highly respected buyer but our conversations were beyond all of my expectations. His advice is dynamic and persevering. I deeply appreciate the help I received from this amazing individual.”

“Yvette, Sara, Esther, Dev, Patti and the whole team at Mystical World have treated me like family since I first discovered them at a Fair. Highly professional and educational with years of studies all things Metaphysical and more. Always a warm and kind hearted welcome. I’ve been referring them to family and friends for years with zero disappointments. These are caring, understanding, knowledgeable, and helpful people. Their crystals and stones are mesmerizing. They have everything you may need including the most beautiful of mass cards to express your sympathy to those who have lost a loved one. Their collections of angels and statues is pristine. Their classes are both therapeutic and educational. They hold several meditation sessions during the course of the week with Yvette’s soothing tone of voice bringing you to complete relaxation and feeling recharged afterwards. I’ve been a patron for around 15 years. They have never steered me wrong. I walk out of the shop feeling happy, positive, and empowered.I am so grateful and thankful for finding everyone at Mystical World.”

1073 6th Ave, New York“My gamer friend knew I was hardcore into anime and manga, so he took my friends and I here. We loved the culture and the vibe of every anime lover exploring their taste in every genre possible. I bought a manga and anime list book to keep track of all my favorite content, from Black Butler to Jujutsu Kaisen. Of course I will include mainstream ones such as Demon Slayer, Naruto and One Piece. Enjoy the Bookstore! They even have Japanese magazines featuring elite models and businessmen in fancy suits. Along the shelves are action figures or anime figurines for displays in your room. There is also a small cafe in the top floor where I bought bubble tea. If you want your anime and manga content, stop by downtown and get your inner creativity out as you silently explore the colorful content. Feel proud of yourself as a person of culture.”
“Ant Bookstore is the place to be! Top 2 NOT 2. The energy, atmosphere, culture, love, representation, and staff are so wholesome and authentic. I’m the last person to leave a comment, but they were too good I messed around and left a review.”
“Extremely helpful staff very knowledgeable, Super great customer service as soon as I walked through the door the lady at the register to her time to walk me around the location and helped me find exactly what I needed and more! Will recommend this establishment!”

116 E 59th St, New York“My husband and I bought 6 books altogether. He was very surprised by how well they were stocked with books on his favorite topic... trains. I was happy to find a copy of a book I only dreamt of owning, since it is hard to find. The gentleman helping us was very personable and friendly. We will be returning!”
“If you can’t find a book in here that you want then I suggest you call Amazon but more than likely you’ll get it here. This is a beautiful place there’s two of them, two of the book stores. They both are in close proximity to Columbia university. And that says a lot about what they carry.”
“You know those bookstores you only see in TV shows or read about in cozy fiction stories? Do you wish to live out any dreams of small town magic in a beautiful bookstore? This is literally that bookstore. The assortment of choices is unbelievable. I’m able to find books here that I’ve never heard of and I haven’t seen on any other mass market publishing list of “books to read.” Everything feels personalized and considered. And that’s just the selection of books to purchase! The staff here is BEYOND unbelievable. I love every single person that works here. They are filled with a love for what they do, and for the books that they read. I have never had such an incredible experience shopping, and I can never get tired of recommending Watchung Booksellers to literally everybody. I’ve been going here since I moved to the area maybe three years ago, and they know me so well at this point that I’m greeted as I walk in. But it really doesn’t matter who you are, it really feels like a giant book family here. I literally won’t go anywhere else for books”
“Just moved to a new location.Much more room and right across from Yeshiva Ketana in warehouse building. Decent parking and as usual great staff !Chaim Feder is Tops !!”
“Both Costco and Nordstrom's legendary customer service pales in comparison to the level of service Josh, Sunday, and the B&B Rare Books team provide. Josh and Sunday make time to educate you on the ins and outs of book collecting, and they work with you on your collection regardless of whether you're new to collecting or you've been collecting for decades.I've purchased books from multiple rare / antiquarian book sellers over the years, and none come close to the white glove service, dedication, and care that Josh and Sunday provide. You'd be remiss in at least not checking out their store or giving them a call.”
