393 NJ-34, MatawanMe and my fur daughter love coming here. The staff is always warm and welcoming. My baby always gets nervous when we get her nails cut but she never minds going here. They have nice natural treats for pups that are reasonably priced. My girl loves the pig ears. Bella approves this place for service and treats. They even took a photo of her and posted it on the wall. ?? If you want your baby in good hands give this place a try you won’t regret it.

31 Washington Street, MatawanI can't say enough about the quality grooming my dogs get here. I've got a psycho dog that bites everyone, even me sometimes. He's a little guy from the shelter with issues but Dee has a way. She says, "he can't help it" as she takes him in her arms. He returns happy and handsome. She has a secret spray that smells so nice! I've been going here for years even with my matted cat one time that decided no personal grooming. Dee knew what to do, I'm so grateful for her.

3991 County Rd 516, MatawanMy fiance and I have brought all of our 5 pets to this office now, and could not be happier with the care provided by the doctors and nurses. The heart is clearly there, and we felt the pricing was very reasonable compared to other vets around here. Dr Lee even worked with us to figure out a medication that would work best for our rescue dog's anxiety after having no luck on a previous medication, and he has never been doing better!

EVERY time we drop him off the staff are excited to see him, he's a little skittish, & make him feel comfortable/loved right away! When we pick him up he's happy to see us, but also wants to go back & play. We've had a great experience boarding our beloved puppy here & will continue to, when we reluctantly have to board him again!

439 NJ-34, MatawanWe had Fatty's Fat Snacks as our late night food truck for our wedding and they were a HIT!!! The owner, Brandon, was very responsive, kind, and easy to work with. We had hot dogs, french fries, cheese fries, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, fried oreos & rainbow cookies. All of the food tasted amazing and was a perfect way to end our night. We even got to take the leftovers home with us. Highly recommend them for any event. Thanks again!!

Wasabi Kaizen - Sushi/Ramen House
392 NJ-34, MatawanWe decided to give this place a try after the name change and new ownership, and you can definitely tell there’s been a big difference. The sushi is top-grade—extremely fresh, high-quality, and excellent. The ramen is another standout and, by far, the best I’ve had in the state. Very authentic and absolutely delicious.
What really stands out, though, is the service. Everyone was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about the experience.
The restaurant has also been completely renovated and looks great inside. The new ownership has clearly put a lot into the food, atmosphere, and service, and it shows. Excellent sushi, incredible ramen, great service, and a completely refreshed restaurant. Definitely going back!

3996 County Rd 516, MatawanIf u like honey grams then get the cinnamon honey latte with oat milk and a double shot of espresso- was spot on and so good- no artificial taste at all. The rainbow cookie and blueberry iced lattes were good, very sweet though. Pastries looked fresh tasted very good. Staff was friendly- alil crowded on a Monday morning but it was labor day and alil loud but not in a bad way just lively. Well come back again for sure to try their other fun drinks!

The staff are super polite and friendly, the restaurant has a fun old fashioned diner feel and is decorated with a life-sized Marilyn Monroe and Elvis, and there are a couple arcade games as well. I got the Swiss mushroom burger and waffle fries and they were delicious! Once you order just have a seat and they'll bring it to your table. The burger was nice and hot and delicious! The mushrooms are fresh...not canned, and they waffle fries are well seasoned and crispy. Overall super solid, if you're in the area you should definitely pop in.

Lobster with Angel Hair in Pink sauce and the Osso Buco are mouth watering and delicious. Pistachio cake and Tiramisu are absolute fire. There is so much more on the menu that blows us away every time. Great people - family owned and operated. Chef Rocco is among the best chefs in the Tri-State and beyond. You have to go to Pauline's. If you don't, you are missing out on the very best!!!

1016 NJ-34, MatawanTDLR: Begars can't be choosers. I think this is the only chinese restaurant in the area, so good enough is...... good enough. Chicken and Corn soup: Warm, and it hits the middle point of clean and hearty. I was scared that it was gonna be tasteless, but I got enough chicken and corn to not feel that way. Pork Chop: This is another Chinese restaurant staple. 85% of the chinese porkchops that you eat will taste the same. This one is no different. Tofu with Salted Fish: It was fine. The tofu did a good job defusing the saltiness of the fish, and the dish was generally well balanced. Objectively, this is probably one of their better dishes. I just feel that it didn't have the pop that I was looking for. Hot prawn salad with broccoli: The broccoli was just boiled. Nothing to talk about. The pawn was fried and bathed in mayonnaise. What's not to like? Yang Chow Fried Rice: A Chinese restaurant staple. 90% of the Yang Chow Fried Rice that you will eat will taste the same. This one stayed with the majority. Service; It was fine. The place wasn't busy, so getting what we needed wasn't hard. Ambiance: This place was built to support multiple small to medium families, and maybe one to two tables that can support 8-10 people. It's in a quiet area, so the crowd wasn't too crazy.

Big Ed's Barbecue
305 NJ-34, MatawanIt's kind of in the middle of nowhere, but once your inside you feel transported to a Western saloon of barbecue. The BBQ is very good and the prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend that you not wear your finest shirt.
