“It's a great hardware store that sadly is closing. It is for sale, but the owner hasn't found a buyer. Need to move quickly - these kind of stores are more important than the big box ones when you are looking for the niche items and personal project care.”

“I went to the SouthHampton NJ store to buy a trailer that was listed online as being in stock. When I got there the trailer in stock was damaged because a purchaser left the lot and the tire fell off. The closest store that had the 5.5x10 trailer was an hour away, but not far from my home. They tried to help be purchase online which was not an option (to hold my item). Very nice and helpful. I drove to the other store in Hillsboro NJ and they had 2 trailers, one w the hitch lever bent. I bought the good trailer by using the Affirm app. Employees never saw this way to purchase but helped me successfully to purchase in store w the app (it wasn't easy and it's Black Friday so......). They were stressed, kind, patient and very very helpful. I couldn't leave the trailer for any period of time to save it as a Xmas gift (you could make money letting people get it later btw) so I brought my husband to the store later in the day to surprise him. It was like going back to the store to meet friends for the reveal. Even though I had many issues, more related to the processes of the franchise) I had a wonderful (but stressful) experience and would definitely go back to both stores.”

“I cannot say enough about how wonderful Home Depot in Berlin, New Jersey is. We just moved to south Jersey and are completely renovating a home. We have needed something from every department in this store. We have only ever been met with a smiling face and affable personality and I wanted to take a moment to thank a few individuals that have made myself or my family feel welcomed and provided extraordinary service in one way or another.* JERRY * from lumber was one of my first interactions at this location and he immediately jumped into conversation with me, making sure I had everything I needed, and really took the time to connect with me right off the bat. These interactions have continued everytime I come into this store, from remembering my name, what project I'm working on, or waving from across the store when he's helping another customer but sees me in the distance. Jerry is a 10/10 employee.* FRANCIS* is my favorite cashier that also shares the same affable personality as Jerry, is so easy to talk to, and makes my husband and I feel so appreciated everytime we interact with him. A fellow military vet, he really connected with our family. He is a genuinely kind soul and your store wouldn't be the same without him.*ROB* Aka Uncle Rob, is what my kids call him, in the paint department. Talk about someone who remembers everything about your last conversation and picks up right where you left off the next time he sees you! It was no wonder my kids latched on to him right away. He is so kind, and is genuinely invested in not only the projects we're completing, asking to see photos, but in my personal goals and aspirations. He's my own personal Home Depot cheerleader as I'm applying to medical school in the next few years! Thanks for the genuine connection Rob!*ETHAN & JOHN* from flooring spent days helping me with an issue on our flooring order and were so kind, patient, and personable. I came into the store one time to check-in and found Ethan on hold trying to find a solution to my issue. The timing was perfect and it shows that even when the customer isn't present, they are actively working on your behalf at the Berlin location!*XIOMARA* is an angel woman in customer service that makes me feel special every time she sees me. Between the sweet "hello, how are you!?", everytime I walk in, even when I'm not paying attention, to her bubbly personality that immediately puts me in a better mood, we LOVE her!!Home Depot, Berlin, you really know how to hire them! Truly the BEST team I've seen in one location in a LONG time. As a military spouse who travels the world and renovates every home she lives in, AND whose favorite store IS Home Depot, I've been to a lot of locations, and I've interacted with a lot of employees. Hands down, YOU'RE MY FAVORITE!!”

“Let me tell you something...my wife and I have been searching low and high, near and far for outdoor Halloween decorations. The animatronic stuff was put out right around Labor Day, which seemed far too early only...to find out I needed to fall just short of selling my body or going on the dark web to find any more, because they sell so quickly. So I end up buying a six foot LED willow tree for Halloween online only to get an email telling me it was canceled while halfway there. Annoyed, we call customer service. That's when we get Wanda on the phone. Wonderful, darling Wanda. Wanda tells us we should have been called regarding the cancellation, but that unfortunately, the trees and cauldron we were looking for were not available. It gets stranger. Wanda then actually checks. Didnt just say 'no we dont and have a nice night,' which she could have...she LOOKED. And found what we were looking for. Plus the rest we couldnt find anywhere else. THEN calls us back to tell us!!! Madness! My point, they walked with hundreds of my dollars in the form of LED willow trees and a cauldron because of customer service. Almost entirely because of customer service. The experience could very well have been negative, but because of someone doing the extra part, they have not only my business but my respect, and the world could use more of that s*** right now!”
