“I brought my car here. They got it back to me in exactly 2 weeks. The estimated time was 3 weeks so I was very happy about that. They are extremely responsive on the phone. The work came out PHENOMENAL. My paint is perfect. I can’t even tell there was a huge fender bender. All my panels were put back properly and my goodness the detail they gave was great. They even cleaned my engine bay. I would definitely bring my car back here. They worked my insurance no problem the whole process was smooth. I highly recommend this body shop.”

His quote to replace my brakes was far better than I received elsewhere; he used top-quality parts; and it was a matter of hours between when I called him and when my car was ready. His multi-point inspection also picked up a few things that another technician had somehow missed (and which I knew were becoming issues, so I know he wasn't trying to upsell me). “My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Aamco Transmissions & Total Car Care in Metuchen. After having been totally ignored for 3 days at a local dealer and sadly realizing our car needed a transmission, I read the great reviews about Craig at Aamco and believed good things must be happening there. We had our car towed there and were so happy we did. Once we contacted Craig at Aamco, our situation changed dramatically. Craig was extremely responsive, did an immediate diagnostic test and clearly explained what needed to be done. His price was very fair. His staff THOROUGHLY looked over the car, found a few things that also needed fixing and did them without charging us extra. We couldn't be happier. “Any time my car needs work done I get very anxious about the whole process involved, as I’m sure many people can relate to. For me it’s always been on par with getting a root canal. However, after my experience at Pearl St. Automotive; my car repair anxieties are gone forever (as long as I can bring my car here)!
Owner AJ is friendly, approachable, and hands down the best person I’ve ever dealt with at a garage. From the initial phone call to the keys being back in my hand, the entire process was seamless and never once even hinted at triggering my car repair anxieties. AJ explained exactly what was needed, gave me dates and timing that he never had to alter, and even stayed after hours to make sure I got the car the day I needed it since it’s the only car in the house.
The final cost was right on point with the estimate (just a couple bucks less actually), and the pricing was more than reasonable, not inflated or overcharged. They even give you a little thank you gift for larger jobs (I won’t ruin the surprise).
There is no question in my mind that I will be going back to AJ at Pearl St Automotive EVERY SINGLE TIME I ever need something done to my car! I’ll also be recommending this place to everybody I know and encounter who needs such a place!

“I am a regular customer with this shop. They do a phenomenal job, just about every week I drop my car off before work and pick it up on my lunch break. Any other hand car wash will be $30-40 and will do a crap job, just spend the extra couple bucks and they will have your car shinier than when you bought it.
Also had them hard wire my dash cam as well, installed tints too. Everything they've done has been perfect and they are honest too about what needs to be done and what can wait. Didn't feel like I was getting sold on stuff just to line the owners pockets at all like some (most) car services”

“I brought my car in because it was making an odd noise. I described it to the mechanic. he suggested driving around the block so he could hear it. The noise was gone - I hadn't heard it since before a trip on the turnpike this morning. His estimation is that there was some kind of debris stuck under the car and that it had probably dislodged. Cost: Zero!”

“One of the best small shops I've been to in my 30+ years of driving. Getting an appointment can be a hassle since they are limited to a few spots, but my repairs have always been done on time and for a reasonable price. I've never been back to have a problem re-fixed. Grab some food at Marcos Deli while your car is in for a quick repair or oil change and by the time you are done eating your Super Italian sub, your car will be ready.”
