At Chelsea they forced me to do an online check-in despite having people there, berated me and made the stressful day worse, taking 45 min to check out a U-Haul.
Here at 63 Kingsland, I took 2 pictures of my drivers license and was out the door with a key in <5 min. Was told I could return the car either that night or after hours for $20, or even the next morning during hours for no charge.
Drop-off was easy as well, since I used <10 miles total <0.5 gallon), I wasn’t accosted to add more gas. I would go out of my way to come here again if I need a U-Haul in the future.”

“Although the location employees were excellent. I definitely believe I was overcharged. I had an $19 van estimated 20 miles and only did close to 10 and brought it back full gas and was charged $75.00”
“It's a tiny office hole in the wall inside a auto repair shop but I was served quickly and was driving out in the rental van within 20 minutes. The guy was very nice, informative and to the point. Getting in and out of that tight place with the van was not easy but manageable. Return of the vehicle was smooth and pain free. My only negative feedback was the position of the fuel gage jumping from half tank to a quarter tank within driving one block from the place. Turn on the vehicle and wait for the fuel tank level to settle before driving out. Good place to rent moving vehicles. I recommend this place.”

“MAKE SURE TO READ THIS!!!!
I was very hesitate on booking with Budget when I went on a business trip over the weekend due to the horrible reviews. So I decided to not book and went to the front desk when I arrived. Unfortunately they didn’t have any cars so I ended up booking with hertz. But it doesn’t end there.
For my flight back home, it ended up getting canceled, leaving me stranded at the airport. I was able to find a flight back home from Charlotte so I ended up booking the flight and went quickly to the rental desk. I went straight to the Budget desk because I know they have the lowest rates and I spoke to Austin. I asked him if he had any cars that I can take to the Charlotte airport and he said they had many. He allowed me to book online to get a better rate and even upgraded me at no cost from a coupe to a suv. I was able to get to Charlotte within 70 minutes and to my surprise I was only charged for the hourly rate, instead of the daily rate, a significantly lower cost.
All the negative reviews are due to no cars or no one at the front desk. The airport just moved all the rental agencies to one central location and all of the agencies have a lot more cars. So hopefully those issues have been resolved.
Also word of advice, don’t use a third party company to book your rental. Just book it straight online on the agency’s website. It’s the lowest price and will ensure you will get a car.

“We’ve been renting from Ryder in Moonachie, NJ, for years, and they continue to deliver outstanding service every single time. Any time one of our trucks or trailers is being serviced or unexpectedly down, Ryder is our go-to, and they never disappoint.
On our most recent rental, we picked up a trailer for a two-day rental and later discovered a small roof leak during a sugar pickup. I immediately contacted Ryder and spoke with Maynard, who provided excellent customer care and assured me the issue would be handled promptly. He had Luis, the supervisor, call me right back.
Luis followed up quickly, asked us to return the trailer when we were able, and remained flexible since our driver was still finishing his route into the next week. Once we dropped the trailer off, Ryder promptly processed our reimbursement for the damaged trailer. The shop tech even took it right into the back immediately to be serviced, no delays, no hassle.
