Best quality selection in all of West Milford, much better than Uncorked with none of the temperature control issues. “Simply put, the Highland General Store is my favorite store in the world. Somehow they always have exactly what you need. I can wonder around the warehouse stores for what seems like hours and not find what I need. In the Highland General store they always have it, whether it’s hardware, bulbs, paint, alcohol, select groceries, deli, even Italian ice in the summer. This store is an icon, comparable in my opinion to the Hasegawa General Store in Maui (better known as the Hana General Store). I have been going to Highland General Store for over 40 years and I want to express my appreciation to the family that has owned and run it over multiple generations. It is a truly great place, everyone who lives in that area of northern NJ is privileged to be able to shop there.”

They keep me coming back. One gentleman is older and the other one who works different days is younger and could be his son. “This liquor store is my "go to." The manager "V" is very friendly and willing to work with me. For example, he ordered the potato vodka I'd enjoyed in Maine, namely Cold River Vodka, distilled in Freeport. He bought an entire case for the store, and I'm only up to my third bottle, including a gift for someone. Also, given a rare inability to leave the house, he took my credit card over the phone and allowed my friends to pick up beer and spirits for me. Just on my word only. I think that's service a anyone and beyond.... He has "everything." Try Bloomingdale Discount Liquors!”

“From the standpoint of selection I'd say this store is outstanding. You can satisfy all your desires in wine, hard liquor, beer, whiskey and even cordials. Prices are very reasonable, many items are on sale, I guess on a rotating schedule. Friendly and helpful staff.”
