“I stopped in last week to look around and pick up some swifter pads, wet and dry. The prices are similar to Amazon. I have been a customer of this Home Depot for many years back to when they were by Bloomingdale’s.
This location is a little bit hard to find items as it is chopped up and spread over 3 floors. However, they have an army of staff who are willing to help you find anything in the store.”

“I spent hours trying to figure out how to cut a piece of metal for my bed frame. I wanted to do it myself through some research on what tools to use, and I tried and failed terribly. I finally walked into Home Depot looking to get some alternative equipment, and I bumped into Robert in the rental side of the store and within five minutes, he had already resolved my issue. I get an anxious asking employees for helping in some stores because they don’t usually look like they want to help anyone but Robert was keen on greeting me and willing to help. Thanks a lot!”

Even though the entire transaction was done over the phone, the process was smooth, professional, and surprisingly easy. Kevin took the time to answer all my questions, offered helpful suggestions, and made sure I got exactly what I needed. The attention to detail and follow-through-even without meeting in person was outstanding. The order was placed quickly, delivery was on time, and everything arrived just as expected. It is rare to receive this level of care and efficiency, especially remotely. Not only were their paint prices lower than their competitors, but the woman and tall gentleman both took time to offer tips and advice for prepping the walls and applying paint.”
“We went shopping this morning at Lowe’s and had a great experience. We met the most wonderful ladies in the store and they gave us the best customer service that I ever received in a long time.
We did have our little sidekick Rex with us and he received a lot of attention.
The store was fully stocked and everyone was going to give us a hand if needed.
The restaurants were currently under renovation And we had to use some premium restrooms outside that were portable.
The only downside was the restrooms did need some cleaning though And it was already 7:30 in the morning.”

Unfortunately, I had a negative interaction with one staff member in the outdoor garden department. He accused me of taking a cherry stem from a plant when it was already there, and the way it was handled felt rude and unnecessary. Aside from that moment, the rest of the visit was positive.”

“Today I made my second visit to this place. First time I was there looking for a water tap, there was a gentleman there that when I asked what I need for this connector he showed me right away what I need and he was right!
Today I went there again to pick up a gas connection in plumbing aisle. I couldn’t find it and they called him as pluming aisle assistant. He came there very quick and asked me a couple questions and find exactly what I needed. He even went above and beyond and gave me one connection that I didn’t know I need and he was right!
He was so good in what he does. Patient professional and kind, his name was on his apron, Mike.
He is what Home Depot needs to beat Lowe’s. We all say that Lowe’s has better service but today Mike changed my mind. If Home Depot has more people like him that would make competition so hard for Lowe’s.

“S & V Hardware is a great neighborhood store. Mo and all of the other team members are friendly and welcoming, and most importantly, they know how to help you solve whatever hardware-related problem that you arrived with. They have a great inventory with things that may be hard to find, or things that you can kind of describe but you don't know what it's called.
It also has an intangible old-school neighborhood hardware store feel, which for me brings back great memories of going to the hardware store in my small hometown with my Dad when I was young.
Five stars, and well deserved.”
“I’ll be honest, I haven’t always loved coming to this location. I usually try to get in, grab what I need, and head out. In the past, I’ve run into moments where the service felt unfriendly or unhelpful, and when I need real assistance for a project, I’ve sometimes chosen to drive to another store instead.
That said, I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with Ms. Coco a few times now, and she completely changes the experience. Every single time I deal with her, I feel taken care of. She truly understands customer service. I even saw her calmly step in to mediate an argument between two customers in line about who was first, and she handled it professionally and with confidence.
If more interactions were like that, it would make a big difference. I really hope her approach reflects the direction Home Depot wants for serving the Paterson community.”
