“Found a nail in one of my tires so I went to Mavis in Oakland to fix it since they installed all the tires. I have used Mavis for years as they have installed tires on all of my vehicles and trailers. They are always courteous, friendly and reliable. I will continue to use them but I have to complain about the price. They found a nail in my tire. They plugged it. They didn’t take the tire off of the truck and patch it they just jacked the truck up pulled out the nail and plugged it. The price $50.00. I mean come on that’s insane. 5 minutes of work for $50.00. If they actually took it off and patched it like I wanted since the tires have 6,000 miles I wouldn’t be worried about the price but a plug for $50.00 is just insane and unreasonable. I then asked how much an oil change would be and was quoted $140.00. It’s a Chevy Suburban that uses conventional oil so $140.00 is completely insane. I understand everything is expensive in today’s world but this is getting out of hand.”

In one instance, we reached out after we purchased our new car from a dealership and had an issue that they claimed wasn't under warranty. Jim's Auto was SO honest - they didn't want to potentially mess with our warranty, so instead they made some calls and referred us to another area dealership who would good will the issue. They are the epitome of honest mechanics and we are grateful to be their customers.”

“This place was fantastic! I blew a tire on my travel trailer on the Thruway And I was towed to Mahwah To a tire place that was supposed to have what I needed. When we got there, they didn’t and I called at least a dozen local tire places with zero success. I called this place and the guy was so helpful although he did not have the exact tire I needed. He was able to sell me another one that was very similar. I ended up buying two which meant I needed to drive back to my trailer. Install the one tire bring the trailer back to him to install the second tire. The place stayed open an hour later for a complete stranger and saved my family vacation!!!! Had it not been for them my travel Trailer would have been sitting in the middle of a grocery store parking lot certainly overnight. My food would have spoiled and we never would have been able to get back on the road the same evening. Good people still exist! Luckily I live pretty local and will be using them from here on out!”
