“We love staying at the Scarborough! My family from New Hampshire comes down every year to visit with the promise to go to the Scarborough for a few days. The porch, the vibe, the rooms (beds are so comfortable), the delicious breakfast and the staff. We just returned home to Chester County and are planning to go again in the off season. Wonderful place.”

“This little boutique hotel is a real gem!!!
On a quiet street within walking distance of the beach and boardwalk and minutes away from downtown shops.
The historic building of this beautiful little mansion was a bed and breakfast for over 20 years and now reopened as a small boutique hotel, after a massive renovation that gave it new life in a retro style with a modern touch.
The lobby space is cozy and inviting and also includes a charming little library.
The rooms are beautiful and bright with large windows, smart TVs, free Wi-Fi, comfortable beds and high-quality satin sheets and the bathroom is amazingly designed with a luxurious shower.
We also loved the high-quality bathrobes, shampoo, conditioner and soap that spread a luxurious scent and we even received beach towels and sunscreen and of course we enjoyed the new Nespresso machine.
In conclusion, we had a pleasant and peaceful luxury stay and there is no doubt that we will return to stay again”

“We look forward to our annual October week here. Located on the beach this place is wonderful. I suggest always get the oceanside suite with a balcony. You will love the view. Rooms are retro nice, clean and quiet. Great place to watch the sun rise over the pier. Restaurant is definitely a high point. Breakfast and lunch are served. Great choices and never a bad meal. The staff throughout the property, are wonderful, professional and accommodating. We love it here.”

“They should wash the water ?? Tower. Inside the bathroom, there's a need for dehumidifiers on the ceiling that can be turned on by light connector. There was a Buzz in the fridge, reminder me of Annie Cheadle.”

“This was our first experience at the Harris house and let me tell you, I’ve been staying in Ocean City for 40 years with my family. We stayed at The beach club, Watsons, the Impala, the Tahiti inn. By far the best experience at the Harris house out of all of them, the hospitality and the cleanliness and the friendliness topped them all. I highly recommend this place and I had three rooms for my entire family.”

“We hosted a 10-year remission celebration with The Flander's Hotel and it was BEYOND my expectations. The staff is incredible and communicative from start to finish. They answered my many emails and questions promptly and thoroughly. My experience was much easier planning alongside Molly and Lisa from the banquet department. Additionally, the day-of staff: Joanne, Wilbert, and John were exceptional. They kept the space clean, the food fresh and replenished, made good cocktails, and made sure everything was on time and running smoothly. The food was also delicious and there was so much variety in choice.

We were in the Garden Room which was plenty of space for food, tables and dancing for the 60ish guests that attended. They set us up with so many recommendations, centerpieces, and above-and-beyond services. Some examples was packing up boxes with our things and taking them to our hotel room, free access to a mic and bluetooth connection for music, and finally helping us distract our guest-of-honor so that we could run into the room before them and yell surprise. This was an emotional event, and the staff went above and beyond to help us make this milestone feel as important to them as it was to us.

If you are looking to host an event, genuinely reach out to the Flanders ASAP, because this was truly a remarkable experience from start to finish.”

“Location, location, location. What a great spot! Located right in the heart of the boardwalk. Walkable to dozens of restaurants. The staff is super friendly, rooms are very clean, and there's always something to do. You can't get bored here! It is pricey, however, such is the case with the location. Definitely worth paying what we paid for this hotel. It has a lot of history and they certainly make use of the space provided for as old as the building is. We booked last minute and took a shot. It didn't disappoint. I loved the parking situation. We were able to park in the lot that borders the hotel. From here, we could quickly grab our sand toys for the kids, chairs for us, and odds and ends and head up to the beach. I noticed a sign about future luxury condos going there?????? I'm not sure how that would have an affect on parking or where we would park. I'll be curious in finding out. I love how it is now. I'll be disappointed if that convenience of parking changes. The only other negative, is a lack of balconies. Only a few rooms have them. It would be nice while at the beach. Over all, excellent experience!”

“Great location near the boardwalk, but located right next to the roller coaster so there is some noise.

Rooms were a bit pricey, but it was like having your own apartment. Room for 4 and a place to park was convenient.”

“Fantastic location just off the boardwalk near the heart of the action. Room was comfortable and clean. Checkout procedure was somewhat confusing. They have parking below the hotel. Pool is located across the street at the sister property.”

“Small, historic rooms! Definitely dated. Great location and with an acai place right outside the door. Parking is limited and will cost $20 per day, or i think they offer 3-day weekend package aswell.”

“The room was so clean. I was really impressed. The staff was super friendly.
The boardwalk is walking distance, just a few minutes. The shades are electric. A previous guest probably didn't read the sign because you could tell someone tried to pull it down with their hands Because one was moving slower than the rest?‍♀️
overall, This is a great stay and I'd come back.”

“We initially were planning to stay at the hotel (impala island) across the street which did not appear to meet my expectations upon pulling into the parking lot. I checked in- got my mom and two kids out of the car and headed to our assigned room. To my surprise, the room was so messy and not clean. I asked house keeping who said something along the lines of she was not here in a few days? I went back to the office - was given another room went to open and a staff member came out stating someone else was in this room. Now I am dragging my kids around trying to figure out what to do next, as they did or have anymore rooms. They ended up upgrading us across the street to the suites. This was beautiful and so much better than prior place. The only complaint was the rooms weren’t cleaned daily; we only stayed two nights so it was never actually cleaned. Also looked like they forgot to finish some updates. Overall we were happy to be accommodated! Thanks again!”

“The hotel has been completely renovated and the rooms are so much nicer than they used to be! The hotel is located a block from the boardwalk and for the price, it's a great value!”

“We stayed 2 nights for 266 dollars. That’s a steal for being so centrally located. Room included microwave, fridge and TV. Working box air conditioner. Room was clean, no bugs. Staff was very kind and helpful. Parking pass was provided. The pool was great and was empty when we went. The owners also own the cove. That’s why they share the pool. It’s in the parking lot.

Stay here if you are expecting a budget friendly hotel and aren’t high maintenance.”
