“I love this store! I visit whenever I'm in NYC. They have a large selection of scientific specimens and natural world items. Skulls, gemstones, meteorites, aquatic items, fossils, and so much more. Anyone looking for interesting items for themselves or as a gift, should make it a point to go to the Evolution Store.”
“Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a fantastic collection of new and old comics. They also have a really great collection of collectibles in stock. They've also got a large collection of graded comics.”
“Love book stores which are virtually a relic of the past. A nice place to spend some time browsing titles. I was looking for books for our grandchildren. I noticed it was a draw for some neighborhood seniors as a place to cool off on a hot summer day while reading up on some titles.”

“Love to go there - amazing selection - but you have to understand the experience. It contains a HUGE selection of games, and RPG books. Might be the most in NY State outside of the huge Millennium games up in Rochester. I've found items that have been out of print for years, or had small production runs.
BUT...
Stacked in huge shelves that stretch from floor to ceiling. It takes a while to read through everything! With tiny aisles that barely have room for one person to walk down. If you're claustrophobic, be warned!
It's almost all at MSRP. Not a place to get a bargain or a deal, generally (that said, they do have a bargain shelf at the back of the store. Right hand aisle, left side all the way back).”

“the most special little pocket of a craft store i had ever hoped to find. forget michael's, artist & craftsman supply has an immense variety of what you need to make art, and you'll be supporting small business! i went in just for some spools of embroidery thread, and not only did they have a huge spectrum of colors, but i must have left with two armfuls of craft supplies - as someone who loves to always be creating new things, that's how i know I'll be coming back forever!!”
“I recently traded in some silver coins at Vieira and I feel that he gave me a very fair price. He explained what everything was worth, and also explained what things would be worth if they were in different conditions or had different dates/mint marks. His inventory is relatively small but he does have some interesting pieces, and I was easily able to find a coin I liked that was similar in value to what I was trading in.”

“My favorite board game store in the city! The play space is a bit small but it's manageable. The staff is top notch and the community is simply amazing!
They have most if not all of the popular board games as well as a selection of minis and paint supplies. They also have a good selection of rpg material and supplies!

“Tannen's shop is magical. Anyone who has made it to the 6th floor at number 45 and to door 608 will end up in a paradise for magicians. Hundreds of tricks are waiting behind the large counter to be demonstrated and purchased. There is also a whole library of magical literature on the shelves.”

Chris treated you like you were a part of his family taking care of every question and concern in a timely manner and was extremely professional, transparent, ready to take on the task at hand, and taking pride in his work. I really appreciate how wide the selection is, whether you’re into crafting, building, designing, or collecting. I was especially excited to find Godzilla-themed items, which made my visit even more fun. The seasonal section is always impressive, with great decorations and ideas throughout the year. I also appreciate the quality and variety of blank t-shirts and sweatshirts, along with the huge selection of iron-ons that make customizing clothing easy and affordable. The car models and toys are great for collectors and hobbyists, and the art supply section is well stocked with everything from basics to professional tools. This Hobby Lobby truly has something for everyone.”

“I love this place. The owner is very friendly and easy to talk with. John has been in business for himself for a long time and treats people right. It makes a difference when you buy or sell with a family-owned local business who go the extra yard for their customers, instead of a big impersonal corporation where employees come and go. John is interested in you becoming a repeat customer, and not just a one-time deal, and it shows. Give his place a try, especially when you have some extra time and can linger and browse, and see if you like it there as much as I do.”

“Hollywood Heros has two things going for it. 1) An amazing, incredible selection of toys, new and vintage. 2) The nicest owners possible. My 12 y.o. son is a huge Star Wars collector, and he discovered HH on Yelp about. year ago. We've gone maybe a dozen times now even though it's an hour round trip. We often find rare and impossible to get items here and if it's not on the shelves, it's probably in their basement, so just ask. We became friendly with Jordan and Val on our trips there, and Jordan has been especially gracious. He always has time to talk, answer questions, and be friendly. Even when we come to just window shop, we still have great talks. Recently my son was looking for an ARC-170 gunship, and Jordan and Val had just gotten one in that had missing parts, and they gave it to my son as a thank you for being a loyal customer. It made my son's month. The store is a block from the central shopping district, so when we go we get bagels or Korean chicken and make a day out of it, or go the few blocks to Trader Joes. I know a Trader Joes isn't a selling point for a store specifically, but as a parent of someone who loves shopping here it's nice to have a cute town that can be part of the experience.”
