I can always find what I need and they have multiple NYC locations (and a very user-friendly website) just in case you can't find what you need. I even picked up a compact drawing board for myself. “I'm such a fan of bookstores and this Barnes & Noble does not disappoint. They have a wonderful inventory of books with a Starbucks conveniently located on the 2nd floor. I had ordered a book online to be picked up on Saturday and the staff was fantastic. I wanted to give a special shout out to Baba, Sam and Sharon. It was pouring out and Sharon was so kind as she located a plastic bag for me so my book wouldn't get wet. Fantastic customer service and a fabulous selection of books - what more could you ask for? Highly recommend if you are in the neighborhood!”

“I can't address the store itself, but I had a phone call with Bruce that filled me with respect for the business. I explained I had a collection I knew nothing about, and wanted to set up an appointment to appraise it. Although it was clear from the onset that my stamps were going to be worthless to him, he spent so much time explaining things to me - telling me what to look for, etc. His knowledge of stamps, both American and foreign is truly impressive. Based on brief descriptors from me over the phone, he was able to instantly tell me what I had, what they might be worth and stories about their provenance. Truly lovely customer service!”

“OMG! I have a good story about my excellent experience with Bullion Exchanges! , I ordered from them and long story short , I was told by the postmaster that I was scammed by these people and so since it was my first time dealing with them I called them up and made a fool out of myself when I talked to the most nicest customer service person in the business, anyways she made me feel a lot better and helped me with everything I needed and was the most gracious person I ever talked to even though I was being a complete moron. These people are awesome and I recommend doing business with them as I will continue to do so myself, I am so happy to leave this great review of them because of the way things happened, well , I also got a chance to leave a review of my dealings with the postmaster after he called me back about my inquiry about my package from Bullion Exchanges, anyways I gave them a piece of my mind about how the postmaster told me over the phone that I was being scammed and that I shouldn't expect to be getting my package and I was just beside myself, anyways, they did not get a good review. But I'm going to be doing a lot more business with Bullion Exchanges because I'm just now starting out collecting gold so that I will have a nice neat egg and something to leave my daughters. The lady that helped me so much at Bullion Exchanges when I spoke with her on the phone and looked into my issue and sent me reassuring emails,her name was Aysa, such a pretty name.”

“i have been meaning to go to michael's in chelsea for a long time my list was getting longer and longer. so glad i did as i was able to get just about everything i needed to use for my greeting cards. I was a bit overwhelmed with the size of the store and found a super friendly and helpful person named michael who i later found out was the manager. after showing him my "hit list" of items i was looking for he was so kind to literally walk to me every aisle! thanks to him i was able to find what i needed and even check out was pretty quick. i was able to use my coupons and gift certificate with the help of another nice person at the cash register who helped ring me up at the kiosk. all in all i would say they all deserve shout outs as also the store was neat clean and well stocked and everyone that i encountered really seemed happy to be working there and took the time to make sure customers too were happy and being taken care of also.”

“A great experience. The gentleman that ran the store was very kind and sincere. I took my autistic son here to pick up a BNSF engine, and they had it in stock. I was also able to find a discontinued model car kit in mint condition for myself. Sure things are a bit cramped, but it has charm. Everything was priced and clearly labeled. We ended up buying an N scale starter kit, and he walked me through the kit with a few helpful tips on how to put it together, and what ti watch out for. I will definitely return to shop again the next time I am in NYC.”

“The staff is very friendly and helpful customer service is 5/5 if you have a question, they have the answer. Also, the player community is very welcoming and willing to teach if you're new to the hobby. There is a bit of consistency issues in terms of hours that its open (for instance they close from 3:30 - 4:00 for lunch but that's not posted on Google). But that's understandable, I don't believe they're properly staffed and I'm sure that's not their fault. They're doing the best they can with what they have, and as the go to Warhammer store in NYC they have my support.Also, follow the Facebook page. They usually post if they're closed for the day or will open at a later time there.”

“I'm a city where toy stores have all but disappeared it's nice to find this spot more than makes up for it. When you head up to that upstairs level it's like fantasy land for the toy and games enthusiast. Like a 5 & Dime on steroids. Toys and such for toddlers to teens. The shelves are packed aisle to aisle. On the other levels you'll find party supplies, candies, balloons, assorted party supplies and more. Not really a newsstand but a hybrid of a Party City type shop. It was fun shopping here and I felt like a kid again. As others noted it is a bit pricey but it's local and better selection than you'll find anywhere else.”

“Love these guys for what they are now—quick online shop for electronic odds and ends that get delivered quickly (at least in NYC). When I'm not looking to buy a cheap box of 250 parts that gets delivered in two weeks, tinkersphere will be there to sell me just one that I can have in my hands tomorrow. Yes the prices are higher but that's the reality with buying at these quantities.The customer service is great, twice now I've had to modify my order after placing it and they've always responded quickly.”
