“The store was smaller than I expected, but the items and objects that they had in the store were incredible. They had a REAL human skeleton and many other animals and creatures for your amazement. If you're into animals or sea creatures, then I strongly recommend you to come here.”

11 E 33rd St, New York“NYC's longest running board game & rpg shoppe (I think, my research is minimal on this) is literally floor to ceiling games. You can find not only new release, but titles from decades ago among it's packed shelves. This place is truly worth a visit when you are in Manhattan.”
“Love book stores which are virtually a relic of the past. A nice place to spend some time browsing titles. I was looking for books for our grandchildren. I noticed it was a draw for some neighborhood seniors as a place to cool off on a hot summer day while reading up on some titles.”
11AM - 7:30PM
16 E 17th St, New York“The sign outside suggests this is either a Hare Krishna storefront or a first generation head shop. Don't be deceived. Inside is one of the hippest (and hippiest) stores in the Village.
True to their name, they have beads, lots of them, from plastic to semi-precious and in all price ranges. Ditto crystals, minerals, regional handicrafts from Mexico and India, beaded curtains, you name it.
They also have a few thousand holiday ornaments, with an emphasis on cultural icons past and present. Are there elves and Santas, sure. But you'll also find Taylor Swift ornaments, Wizard of Oz/Wicked ornaments. Puppies, cats, birds, Hindi gods, Tim Curry (as Dr. Frank-N-Furter), wica-themed things, Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royals, manga, the Golden Girls, tacos, Harry Styles, and hypodermic needles. Most are glass and in good taste; some of in decidedly bad taste (I wanted those most of all).
Because it's a little dusty in spots, it still gives a 1970's, "Whole Earth" vibe. Thankfully, the courteous staff (Candace helped me and she was a delight) brings a wholesome and helpful air to the place. I bought a Glinda the Good Witch and a Taylor Swift ornament but expect to go back for a Botox syringe.
If you've read my other reviews (i.e., More and More and John Derian) you know I'm huge a fan of great ornaments. This shop makes a worthy companion to those other two with very little overlap in the products they offer. I wish I'd stumbled in sooner.
Just for good measure, pick up a little Rose Quartz to help get your through the holidays (these are tough times, maybe a crystal will help).
Who is going to love it? Christmas freaks, jewelry people, yogis, fashionistas, drag queens, crafters, and the rest of the cool kids.”
“Decided to make this one of my stops during my trip to NYC. I gotta say it was well worth it!
Upon entry, Vic was super welcoming and inviting to come check out the shop! The selection here is absolutely mind boggling! They have everything you could ever need when it comes to any TCG.
Not only that, but the service is incredible! They showed me some slabs, some sealed product, and had some sweet deals!
Great shop owned by a great family! Will be returning next time I am in the city!”
“Tannen's shop is magical. Anyone who has made it to the 6th floor at number 45 and to door 608 will end up in a paradise for magicians. Hundreds of tricks are waiting behind the large counter to be demonstrated and purchased. There is also a whole library of magical literature on the shelves.”
“The frame I ordered from Amazon arrived broken so I came to Blick. Shout-out to Oz who patiently help me choose the right frame and helped me set it up correctly. Much appreciated!”
“This review is in memory of my father Rick who passed away one week ago from today, Father's Day. Fountain Pen Hospital brought my father a lot of joy and he worked closely with the previous owners who were dear friends. I have many beautiful pens gifted to me from my father from here that I cherish.”
“Can't say anything bad about them. I had a client call and order over the phone and it was available for a smooth and clean pickup the same day. I can always find what I need and they have multiple NYC locations (and a very user-friendly website) just in case you can't find what you need. I even picked up a compact drawing board for myself. The staff was so friendly and approachable that it was an easy sale.”
“I haven't actually spoken to anyone yet but I am trying to sell my stamps so if someone can help me out I would appreciate it because they are rare and in mint condition and I have heard good things about this place but I am not sure what is going on.”
“Fair pricing, excellent, expeditious shipping. If they don't have it in stock, they will gladly go out of their way to find it, still with free shipping if it is at or over the free shipping limit.”

555 5th Ave, New York“I’m going to missy favourite spot for me to get weekend books & Starbucks ! Due to rising rental prices, this store can’t keep up with rental $ and people are not purchasing books anymore !
( I grew up in this bookstore !)”
“My experience was very good and I like going to the Blick Art Materials for a long time and I like buying Art Materials from this Location because I am a Self taught Artist.”

74 W 50th St, New York“Easy to find and such a cute shop. I came here looking for sonny angels and I was not disappointed. An entire wall was dedicated to them, and to my delight, they had the hippers.
It didn't appear like they had a limit as to how many that you could buy but I only purchased the one and got the exact one I was looking for!”
9AM - 9PM
675 6th Ave, New York“This Michael's is fairly well stocked. Everything is slightly pricier than Hobby Lobby, but frequent coupons and discounts help a lot!
I would like to see more felt colors and more felt in stock. Many things are sold out frequently, which makes the shopping experience insecure.
I would like to see buckets of air-dry white clay, not just bags. Also, the floral section could be more varied and cheaper! I would also like to see acrylic paint fully stocked. They're always low on various paint colors. I would like to see tiny craft scissors, elastic bands of various sizes, more colors of faux fur, more types of plastic mesh, and affordable packing supplies like paper, tape, and bubble wrap.
I would like to purchase everything in one place, but the prices are too high at Michael's.
The store is pretty neat and tidy, and there are staff to ask. I also like that you can use the bathroom. Thank you for that. Checkout could be a little more personal and friendly. It is not a warm experience to actually shop there. Also, they don't give bags at checkout, which is such a bummer. It may be a small thing, but it really changes the shopping experience and makes the customer feel more appreciated when you get a nice bag for free.
I like the order pickup option, but there should be a scan system so it could be noted when the bag is picked up. Hope this constructive feedback helps!”

55 E 8th St, New York“Great place, decent selection of miniatures but slightly limited when compared to other larger Warhammer stores outside of the NYC. Staff is friendly, helpful, and informative. I see a lot of complaints on store hours and I do understand that feeling. I too have experienced these frustrations previously but best way to navigate this is to join the Facebook group. The store staff will always without fail post store closures or hours changes there whenever something occurs.”
“This is a nice place to find unique scale models. The selection of trains in particular is expansive. Reading some of the other reviews almost made me skip this place, but I think you just have to understand that while this may not be the cheapest place to find a particular model it is the rare store where you can see such a diverse selection of scale models in one place. The gentleman behind the cash register was very warm and helpful when I asked him to point me in the direction of some specific models I was looking for. Overall, a really unique old school shop in midtown that I look forward to visiting again.”
10AM - 7PM
1243 3rd Ave, New York“I ordered a balloon arch for my daughter’s circus theme birthday party and they did an amazing job!! Michelle was so incredibly helpful with placing my order did everything to ensure I was happy with how it all turned out. She was very communicative and the delivery was done effortlessly. I will absolutely order from here again!”
“Love these guys for what they are now—quick online shop for electronic odds and ends that get delivered quickly (at least in NYC). When I'm not looking to buy a cheap box of 250 parts that gets delivered in two weeks, tinkersphere will be there to sell me just one that I can have in my hands tomorrow. Yes the prices are higher but that's the reality with buying at these quantities. The customer service is great, twice now I've had to modify my order after placing it and they've always responded quickly.”
“I’ve been here a handful of times for different projects and every time I’ve been welcomed warmly. There are multiple staff members who offer their help and vast knowledge in the bead making process. I’ve always walked out feeling confident in my upcoming projects. I also have to commend their warm hearts and compassionate selves, I had a medical emergency here a couple of weeks ago and every one was incredibly kind and supportive, helping me out themselves and even going so far as to help support me. I cannot thank them enough. I highly recommend going here if you’re looking for a vast range of unique and creative supplies, as well as if you’re looking for kind and knowledgeable staff!”
“Visited w/ my little one who has gotten into Pokémon. The store was really nice and the staff were very cool and nice to him and had some good deals on the cards we got. Would come back.”
“Thank you Henry for being a gracious proprietor and kind soul. We were treated as family. Fanny pack and birthday gift purchased at reasonable price. Always a good idea to go in and say hello!”
