“I love this store! I visit whenever I'm in NYC. They have a large selection of scientific specimens and natural world items. Skulls, gemstones, meteorites, aquatic items, fossils, and so much more. Anyone looking for interesting items for themselves or as a gift, should make it a point to go to the Evolution Store.”

“the most special little pocket of a craft store i had ever hoped to find. forget michael's, artist & craftsman supply has an immense variety of what you need to make art, and you'll be supporting small business! i went in just for some spools of embroidery thread, and not only did they have a huge spectrum of colors, but i must have left with two armfuls of craft supplies - as someone who loves to always be creating new things, that's how i know I'll be coming back forever!!”

“Love to go there - amazing selection - but you have to understand the experience. It contains a HUGE selection of games, and RPG books. Might be the most in NY State outside of the huge Millennium games up in Rochester. I've found items that have been out of print for years, or had small production runs.
BUT...
Stacked in huge shelves that stretch from floor to ceiling. It takes a while to read through everything! With tiny aisles that barely have room for one person to walk down. If you're claustrophobic, be warned!
It's almost all at MSRP. Not a place to get a bargain or a deal, generally (that said, they do have a bargain shelf at the back of the store. Right hand aisle, left side all the way back).”

“I had a great experience with American Coin & Stamp Company in Clifton. I spoke with Charlie on the phone beforehand, and he was incredibly warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable right from the start.
I brought in some old coins, including a few Indian Head dollars, and the exchange was very fair and informative. Another gentleman took the time to explain things clearly, which made the whole process feel comfortable and trustworthy.
What really stood out was the kindness and personal touch. My girlfriend is of Dominican heritage, and the gentleman even shared an old Dominican dollar bill with her, which meant a lot and really summed up how thoughtful and genuine the experience was.
I can absolutely see why this place has such a strong reputation. Kind, professional, and welcoming — I would definitely do business with them again.”
“My favorite board game store in the city! The play space is a bit small but it's manageable. The staff is top notch and the community is simply amazing!
They have most if not all of the popular board games as well as a selection of minis and paint supplies. They also have a good selection of rpg material and supplies!
If ever you find yourself close by, I highly recommend a quick browse!”

“Tannens is a great store. I've bought from them a good handful of times. Always great service. This time, I figured I'd try the $50 mystery box. First time purchasing it. Man(!!!) am I glad I did. I know this must be a rarity, I opened the box and saw a thin book, something in another box, a thick deck of cards and a mentalism piece that was in a thin cardboard box. So, ok, let's see what I got. The thick deck of cards was The Bigger Picture, the thin book was HERMES, the mentalism piece in the box was Rhine 2000. What was in the other box, A Mikame Magicians Changing Chest circa 2005 in brand new condition!! I was FLOORED!! I'm sure I got really lucky.

“Their main floor area is small ish and dominated by comics, though they have a decent selection of board games... extremely good compared to most comic shops I've been to. My main reason to go is not for comics, but for card games (TCGs). My son loves Pokemon and I play MTG. They have a surprisingly spacious and (by game store standards) exceptionally well kept basement play area. The store has a somewhat limited but fair priced singles selection. The best reason to go, putting aside and preferences for player communities/friends' preferences, the prices for sealed products are the best around. Owner sets prices based on MSRP, not market prices (I think), so prices are consistently lower.”

“I would like to extend a huge shout out to the team at BLICK for helping me Get my pieces ready for art expo, New York last month. My recent trip there was incredible, but also very nerve-racking, Raluca, Nina, and Jessica Saved the day by hitting the ground running on a last-minute request I had. I literally called them from the airport to see if they were able to do some same day framing for me. Their ability to help me out, even though they had an extremely mounting workload already, Is a gift that I will never forget. Not only Where my piece is ready before the show, but the Craftsmanship was Flawless. The BLICK flagship store is one of the most beautiful establishments that I’ve ever walked into! I cannot wait to work with his team again, of course, with way more notice this time. I highly suggest visiting this location if you are ever in town or just live in New York. “Was in the area and looking for a few products so stopped in. Place is stocked on sports. Prices are in line with sports card stores. For harder to find stuff it’s a bit more than retail but that’s expected and fair. The guy there, possibly the owner, was friendly and super helpful. I ended up with some good stuff and an overall good experience. I’ll be back. If you need anything from baseball to Pokemon they have it and like I said, fair prices. Oh lots of hockey which is not easy to find always.”
