“The Closter Nature Center is a nice little escape from the busyness of town. It’s quiet and peaceful, and I love that it gives you a chance to slow down and just be outside. That said, the trails could use a bit more care. Some areas felt uneven and overgrown, so be ready for that if you’re bringing kids or anyone who isn’t super steady on their feet. Nothing unsafe, just not as well maintained as I expected. The center itself feels welcoming and low-key, and the staff were friendly. It’s not a big place, more of a quick nature walk than a day-long outing but it’s still worth a visit if you’re nearby and want some fresh air.”

“My niece and my 2 kids went to this child care center 25 years ago, 18 years ago and 15 years ago, at that time they were the best, the staff are very professional, very caring, they make the kids feel like they were family. The kids love their teachers and the state of the art facility. Definitely recommend this daycare.”

I then joined and have not regretted it! The Ridgewood Woman's Club is an exceptional woman’s club with a fabulous President, Pamela Swords , who gives this club her heart and soul!She is truly a gift for this club and its members! Lastly, but most importantly, The Ridgewood Woman’s Club does so many wonderful and charitable things but also leaving time for the members to do some fun activities together also!”

“I am grateful to live at The Fellowship Community. I knew that Fellowship members were encouraged to provide service to one another, and the idea appealed to me. One afternoon per week, I happily provide companionship care to our most fragile members who reside on our Care Unit. As an independent member, I live in a lovely, two bedroom apartment in a lodge that has 10 apartments, and a spacious Common Room where we gather, for example: potlucks, films on our large screen T.V. and a meditation group. A few things that I particularly enjoy are the pottery workshop, my raised garden bed in a community garden, and easy access to the Duryea Farm. We’ve recently acquired 3 dwarf goats, and I delight in visiting them to watch their antics. I’ve observed that the people who are drawn to either work or live here appear to be highly conscious, intelligent and kind individuals. We recently celebrated Thanksgiving, and there was no separation between members, the staff we consider “co-workers” (many of whom choose to also live on our 80+ acre campus), and administration. Fellowship is truly a community.”

“My three friends and I started taking adult swim lessons with Splash Fit Swim Club at the Children's Aid - Dunlevy Milbank Center this month (January). I love this place! The pool is heated, the showers are hot, and the ladies dressing room is clean and well-lit. The lockers are small, so only bring essentials. Our group has varying skill levels (2 can't swim at all, 2 are refining their skills), but Coach Mohamed has been good at helping each of us and keeping us all engaged. The pool area is well-supervised, with someone to check-in the students and direct them to the lane where their coach is waiting. Parents are allowed to sit in the bleachers to watch their little ones swim. The program has pretty strict rules about missed classes, (a limited number of make-up lessons are permitted) but this makes me a bit more focused and less likely to miss a lesson. Two thumbs up for swim lessons at Children's Aid - Dunlevy Milbank Center!”

From the beginning to the end of our time there, she made sure all our needs were met and that our children always felt loved and supported. We are also deeply thankful to the entire teaching staff and faculty. Ms. Rosario and Ms. Andrea, who were my child’s teachers, are wonderful educators and genuinely kind individuals who created a nurturing and engaging environment every day. Our experience at the Bergen Family Center far exceeded our expectations. If we could, we would gladly choose to send our children there again. This center has been nothing short of amazing for our family. We are truly grateful for the care, warmth, and dedication of everyone there. We will always remember you and miss you dearly.”
