These guys came up, and they absolutely deserve the highest rating. Ben answered all the questions I had that weren't well explained in the video, then made sure I left with all the proper supplies necessary to finish the job along with some pro tips to ensure I only had to reassemble the relief valve once. Can't endorse this store enough. Thank you, Ben!tldr - They successfully helped guide me in replacing the relief valve on my water tank, and I have never worked on a water tank before.”

“Wonderful! I came here, described the fact that I have a Miele with a 7/8 inch proprietary hose that needs to be connected *by some means unknown to me* to a wye tailpiece for my kitchen sink drain and the person who worked there immediately said that he knew what I needed and came out with the part!Although the staff at Home Depot on 3rd Ave are very friendly, I spent the course of a week following not so great advice. Despite saying this exact same thing to them, they suggested that I buy not only the wrong pipe (in an incredibly flimsy gauge that meant I could bend it with pressure from just my fingers), they assured me that a new dishwasher hose would work. So so wrong! After struggling for some time going back and forth to Home Depot, I finally went to Hercules and got completely sorted out. I will definitely head back here in the future.”

“10/10 !!! I called before I came to get Screws and nuts for a project. I was Greeted by a gentleman who was more than happy to answer my questions regarding ours and inventory. Later that evening I walked in and was greeted by a pleasant lady behind the desk who helped me find what I needed. After leaving I found that I got the wrong screws and nuts. I called and asked about to return policy, where I was helped by a second gentleman who spoke to me with passion telling me to just bring them in and don't worry the right size will be found. “This is the way hardware stores used to be, family run, chock a block with every hardware item you could need. Great for browsing. We’ve been coming here for years since we moved into Gramercy Park in the 80’s. And for service, forget about Home Depot or Lowe’s. They just drilled a hole in a stainless steel plate saving me a trip to a metal fabricator in Brooklyn. They did it in the store. It took all of five minutes. Can’t beat that.”

“As a lifelong resident of Jersey City, I only first visited Tsigonia a few days ago in search of purchasing Benjamin Moore paint. I called the day before I visited to make sure they were going to be open and what their hours were and spoke to the nicest man on the phone. I had the pleasure of meeting Stanley upon my first trip to the store and it was such an amazing experience. He's so pleasant, helpful, genuine, and knowledgeable. It really took me back in time to experience such true customer service. He made such an impression on me. Stanley walked me through everything I needed, even mentioning things I didn't consider, giving me options to choose from, saying 'we want to make sure we have this right'. In this day and age, where are you going to find someone who actually cares about the color and finish of how you're deciding to paint your home? To me, that caliber of character speaks volumes in the day and age where you're likely to be flagging down someone for help in a store because they aren't around or are glued to a device. Anyway, I ordered the first batch of what I needed from him, and some samples to try. I made my mind up over the week, and called in the rest of my order because I would be arriving for pick up close to their closing time and wanted to be respectful of operational hours. Stanley was so precise, patient, and thorough with my order, 6 different colors and a variety of finishes within them - all to a T. My order was ready and accurate, all waiting to be paid for by the time I arrived. This man is truly such a role model for customer service, for this business, and the human race. Stanley, you are an angel.”
