“I recommend this pharmacy over any of the retail options in Greenpoint. I've been a customer for years. I got all of my COVID vaccines here, and remember when Altru had availability even when no where else did.
I was prescribed an epi-pen and Altru went above and beyond to advocate for me. Even after calling my insurance and my doctor, I was unpleasantly surprised by the news at the pharmacy that the insurance was denying coverage. Altru told me immediately what to do and how to push for it because of how important it could be to my life. When I called the insurance, and the insurance called Altru, Altru immediately picked up, corrected the insurance, advocated for an override, and somehow managed to order a version they didn't have in stock to arrive later that same day. I was willing to wait, but they made it happen. Thank you Altru!”

“I have a chronic illness that means I've been on daily medication (synthroid) for many years. I've also moved a lot and lived in many cities and states, so I frequently change pharmacies and dealing with complex situations like prescriptions split across different cities, messed up refill schedules, emergency refills, etc.
I can say without reservation that this is the BEST pharmacy I've ever been to. The staff is so helpful with things like calling doctors and insurance to figure out why you can't get your medicine, making sure the dosage you need is always available, and even restocking before the prescription comes in so there's no delay once your medicine is prescribed. The pharmacists are also super nice and welcoming. It's a great store. Highly recommend.”

After having an appointment cancelled and no luck with two nearby Walgreens pharmacies, I came in to Red Ribbon hoping for better luck. Though they were close to closing time and past when they usually administer vaccines, Hector was generous enough to accommodate me. The whole process was quick, smooth, and easy. I would definitely recommend Red Ribbon to anyone in the neighborhood!”

The staff answers the phone when you call and are more than happy to take your prescription refill or answer any questions you may have. Store has a large variety of items including over the counter medications, greeting cards, seasonal decor, gift wrap and gift bags, balloons, toys, travel size items, special need items, and school supplies. The list goes on. The staff has been employed here for many years and have an invested interest in your complete satisfaction. The owner, Vish Patel, greets all with a big smile. Free parking as well on the street or in the parking lot behind the pharmacy. I have had only great experiences here. I highly recommend this local gem.”
