“Was looking online for a reliable, honest mechanic I could trust, since mechanic that once serviced my vehicles for 10+ years was no longer in service. Came across Universal auto repair and they great reviews, so I decided to make an appointment. Explained exactly what I was experiencing when driving. At first glance they couldn’t pin point the issue but with a bit more info from me they figured it out. Also had inspections/emission and daylight replaced. Will be taking my vehicle to them going forward. If looking for a trustworthy and friendly shop this is the one. Highly recommend ?”

“BEST SERVICE EVER!!! I’m 5 months pregnant and have 2 toddlers at home. So when my car battery stopped working this morning it was the last thing I needed to happen. I called around to different shops early in the morning and came across this one. The man who answered the phone was eager to help and told me I can come by right away. Mind you this was like 8 am. I dropped off my car and was told they will look at it today. Later in the day, not only did they figure out the problem, but they got me a new battery and put it in!!! So before they closed my issue was not only diagnosed but also fixed at an extremely good price!!! They went above and beyond what I could’ve asked for and made it possible to me to be able to drive my kids to daycare tomorrow and get to my doctor’s appointment. I will definitely be back anytime anything is wrong with my car and i recommend this shop to anyone needing help with their car!!! Thank you so much!!!”

“The owner, Bob, accommodated my request for a pre-purchase inspection on relatively short notice. His wife was gracious when I called and helped me set the appointment. He and his son, Matt, took the time to look over my car, and explain to me everything I needed to know about the car's condition. Their pricing was very fair, and they worked quickly, while keeping me informed about the car the whole time. I felt like both the car and myself were in good hands. Everyone there was friendly and clearly knew their stuff. Without hesitation, I can recommend working with Mulherns Auto Repairs!”

“The best shop in the area. Period. This is the only garage I've found that is consistently genuine with pricing AND will work with you. “My mom got quoted 2100 from Goodyear to fix her Nissan Pathfinder. Being a car guy I knew it wasn't right. I found classic on Google and the excellent reviews made us make our decision. And sure enough her car was misdiagnosed and she's back on the road noise free for a much less cause she wasn't being up sold and fear mongered into replacing other things. Pete is super nice. I highly recommend. Keep doing what you're doing guys!!!! A good wholesome mechanic is hard to come by but they deliver. Support your local business folks.”

I spoke with Allen and he gave me suggestions and when the resources ran out he told me not to worry about it he will work it out for me and make things cost effective for me. The best part is they stuck to their word and delivered the greatest service ever and my car drives so much better now. “This was my first time going to Matthey Automotive. I would normally take my car to a mechanic in Westmont but they have a new front office coordinator and I have been considering going to another mechanic. My parents recommended Matthey. Overall, it was a good experience. My car was ready yesterday and it seems to be running well. The price was within $100 of the estimate I got from the other mechanic. The front office coordinator I met is Carl. He seems like a nice guy and I especially liked his bakery recommendation! I don’t think I will bring my car back to the Westmont mechanic. Thank you, Carl and everyone else at Matthey”
