122 E River Rd, RumsonThis bakery is incredible. Their cakes are not only beautiful, but they taste extraordinary. We were blown away by our daughter's birthday cake! Not only did it look just like the inspo photo, more importantly it tasted marvelous. The vanilla cake part is so perfect -- not too sweet and not dry! And finally -- a bakery that knows how to make actual genuine buttercream fosting that tastes the way the Good Lord meant it to taste. And the lemon curd filling provided the perfect tangy pop to this delightful confection.
It has been so hard to find a bakery that can make gorgeous cakes that taste homemade. It would seem C&Cs is using fresh, wholesome ingredients and not trying to cut corners. And it shows! We are ordering another cake for Sunday for a family party as I've heard their peanut butter buttercream frosting is legend (wait for it) ary.
Sadly, we cannot stop eating this cake. And there is a real fear. I will not fit into a bridesmaid dress this weekend for a wedding I am in. Small price to pay! Worth it.

Undici
11 W River Rd, RumsonWe had the pure pleasure of dining at Undici last evening. The interior is beautiful, warm and inviting. The food was exceptional. We shared everything, starting with the Cacio Pepe salad and the Octopus. The salad was very good, the octopus outstanding, tender and flavorful. For our mains, we enjoyed the Malfadini Bolognese and the rabbit with creamy risotto, which were also outstanding. All the portions were generous. My cocktail, the Martini Genovese, was incredibly delicious. Our evening was made even more enjoyable by our wonderful server, Mary. She was friendly and engaging, and discreetly attentive to our every need. Bravo to the front of house, kitchen, and above all waitstaff. We will definitely be returning to this most enjoyable establishment.
