My wife and I have been bouncing around South Jersey—hitting Atlantic City, soaking up LBI, crashing at Swan Lake Resort—and decided to roll into the insanely picturesque, postcard-level town of Smithville. We stopped at Lakeside Grill just looking for a solid bite, but we accidentally stumbled upon the secret to global harmony.
First, the food: 10 out of 10. We grabbed a crab cake and a chicken wrap, and both were absolute perfection. The crab cake was actual, delicious crab (not just seasoned breadcrumbs having an identity crisis), and the wrap hit every single mark.
Now, let’s talk about Mike.
Mike isn’t just a waiter; he is a national treasure. Hands down the nicest, most genuinely wonderful dude to ever hand someone a menu. Attentive, incredibly warm, and radiating top-tier vibes from the second we sat down. I’m utterly convinced that if world leaders had even half of Mike’s patience, grace, and hospitality, we’d achieve global peace by next Tuesday.
If you’re anywhere near Smithville, do yourself a favor: go to Lakeside Grill, ask to sit in Mike’s section, and prepare to have your food craving satisfied and your faith in humanity fully restored. We’ll definitely be back!
