Shrewsbury Animal Hospital
1602 NJ-35, OakhurstEveryone here was wonderful! Very friendly and welcoming staff. Dr. Bowman was super helpful finding out what was most likely wrong with our cat. I will say, a bit pricier but not sure if that’s just the area. The VCA app was nice to have as well.

Deer Path Kennels
308 Riverdale Ave W, Tinton FallsWe have taken our dogs to several kennels and daycare throughout the many years of owning dogs. A friend suggested Deerpath Kennels. The facility is spotless with real grass for the dogs to play or, in Apollo's case, lie around in the natural setting. Sara, Beth and Steve live on the premises. When boarding, they take your dog out at 10:00 for the last opportunity to pee or poop. Other boarding facilities close at 7:00 and no one is there until the next morning. Steve made suggestions to better my dog's confidence. I was instructed in behavioral changes that helped me change my approach to making my dog less dependent. There are so many wonderful things to say about Deerpath Kennels, but the main accolade is the wonderful, happy attentive family who cares for the dogs. Sara, Beth, and Steve greet you like old friends, and my dog runs happily to them each day that he goes there. Deerpath is far greater than I have room to write here. I recommend this business enthusiastically.

Wagging Tails
926 Sycamore Ave, Tinton FallsI have been taking my Emma for 6 years now. With her nose out the car window she gets so excited when she smells we are getting close. April and Robert are wonderful with all the dogs. They have pools for them and a large sand pit for digging. There is a very large backyard with a high fence and they are NEVER caged. They sleep on the furniture like the kings and queens they are. I am so thankful I found them. April is so wonderful with the dogs and Emma took to her immediately (she was a shy puppy). I can not say enough good things about them...THE BEST!!! And Emma agrees, especially about the homemade treats that are always on hand!!

Planet Of The Crepes
1 Premium Outlets Blvd, Tinton FallsI stopped into Planet of the Crepes on Friday, 11/15/25. I ordered the Romeo and Juliet crepe and an Aloha Sunrise smoothie.
The crepe was fantastic—thin with slightly crisp edges and a soft, buttery center. It was packed with fresh strawberries and banana, and the warm Nutella melted into everything so every bite was rich, chocolatey, and fruity without feeling too heavy.
The Aloha Sunrise smoothie (banana and pineapple) tasted super fresh, like a little tropical vacation in a cup. It was thick, cold, and creamy, with the pineapple giving it a bright tang and the banana smoothing everything out.
Service was friendly and the whole place has a fun, playful vibe—like somewhere Cornelius from Planet of the Apes would open if he decided to run a cozy little snack spot instead of a lab. Overall, Planet of the Crepes is definitely a place I’d come back to for a sweet treat and smoothie fix.
