1071 NJ-37, Toms RiverThey are amazing! We used to never be able to get our one dog’s nails cut because she’s very anxious. The vet could never unless they knocked her out (very scary to witness tbh, and you’re always afraid something will go wrong). But not these Ladies at Barones. Sue cut her nails just fine when we took her to get groomed - said she just did it while she was in the tub. And then today Kim was also able to swiftly get her nails cut; she didn’t use the tub like Sue, just had us hold her and went quickly while cutting (not so fast as to make her bleed either) and gave my dog any pauses she needed to calm down. Got through her nails in like 10 minutes!
They’re good, seriously.
Their grooming is also excellent, both dogs come back clean, soft, and fluffy.

I’ve had my girl ferret for almost five years now, and sadly her brother passed away from adrenal disease. When we went into Petco, we noticed two beautiful boys who had been there for a while. We finally decided to inquire about them, and Debbie was so incredibly kind to allow us to bring our girl in for a meet-and-greet to make sure they would get along.
The visit went wonderfully, and they came home with us that very day! They are the cutest, most energetic little boys, and we couldn’t be happier.
Thank you so much to Debbie and the entire team for making the meet-and-greet possible and for helping give our beautiful boys their forever home. ♥️

Both On the phone and in person everyone there was a pleasure to deal with. Our little pup has had some issues in the past getting groomed so he is a tough one, but they handled him like professionals. Even the owner came over and introduced herself. We got them back and they looked absolutely amazing. Couldn't have had a better overall experience. So happy we found them and will for sure be using them in the future for all our pet needs. My cat is almost 12 years old and has some GI issues that unfortunately can get worse in a matter of hours with little warning. With that said, I sometimes need her seen ASAP. Last week being one of those incidents.. I was up all night with zero sleep with a sick cat. Next morning I called and they were able to get me a late afternoon appointment. Staff is helpful and Dr DiLorenzo is so kind, gentle and reassuring. Listens and explains everything to you. Grateful to know I have this wonderful place I know I can rely on to keep my baby healthy and alive!

The business has recently been remodeled & repainted projecting a loving atmosphere when you enter. All the Drs are knowledgeable and explain situations with options so the average person can understand. My French bulldog was neutered a few weeks ago and his surgery and aftercare were incredible. We made the decision to put her down in order to ease her pain and give her peace. The entire experience was supportive and nurturing, not just for her but for me. Weeks later I received a sympathy card signed by the entire staff which included her paw print and a lock of her soft fur. We now have 2 new kittens and I am thrilled to bring them to North Dover to have them care for our sweeties!
