“Super thankful for the knowledgeable staff at Warsaw (Matt or Max? forgive me for misremembering) who went above and beyond to repair my Aunt’s lamp — not only did they rewire it, but they also found broken pieces of it in the lamp body when they were working on it and took the initiative to glue them back together and restore the top of the lamp to be as good as new!”
“The best local hardware store. Full of practical stuff for your home/garden projects and staff is knowledgeable and friendly. My 7 y/o loves to snoop around in there because there are so many neat little items and prices are reasonable. Got my windows re-screened there, and they were done within 24 hrs.”
“I had a fantastic experience with American Royal Hardware in Montclair, New Jersey. The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to help. I needed several solid brass poles cut down to custom sizes, and they took the time to assist me with precision and care.
What stood out most was their commitment to customer service and their generosity toward the local community. It’s refreshing to find a locally owned hardware store where people still go above and beyond to help their customers.
Thanks again Roy!”
“Huge thank you to Eddie and Monaco Lock! I got locked out of my apartment due to an issue with the door handle assembly. Despite it being the holidays with limited staff on hand, Eddie took the job and arrived within 30 minutes. He got me back into my apartment, replaced the assembly, and explained the underlying issues causing the problem. Very knowledgable, honest, and friendly. Would definitely recommend!”
“They were exceptional! Prompt, very competitively priced, thorough, and honest; they could have charged more due to an unforeseen complication, but did not. I couldn’t have been more pleased.”
“What a great local hardware store. I used to own a true value store in Brooklyn. The people were friendly and very helpful as well as knowledgeable. Thank you for all your help”

“My in-laws bought a fridge, and didn’t measure their kitchen doorframe properly. Walked into this hardware store, and walked out within 60 seconds with my questions answered and a proper fix to the dilemma. All it took was a $7 crowbar and a little elbow grease. Fantastic store.”
“I freaking love Red Star!!! Ryan and Joe are efficient, kind, knowledgeable, and make me feel valued every time I’m in store. There’s always a good vibe there and I feel taken care of. Been going since I was young with my parents and their consistent care got another generation of customers. You guys rock!!”

“I’ve been to several Prince Lumber stores, but this one is definitely the best. Leicer and Roberto were very friendly and quick to help. Not only that, they also gave me different options so I could get everything I needed. 10/10 service — thank you for the great attention!”
“Visited the store to check out kitchen cabinet options. Mary was EXTREMELY helpful. She was knowledgeable, friendly, showed us different options without pressuring us into any specific brand.
She went above and beyond to give us different ideas. Have been to multiple cabinet stores and by far she was the most helpful.”
“The customer service in the store is superb! Greta, Karen and the whole team are always able, willing a to help with smile on their face. It makes shopping locally worth it!”
“Great place. Excelente español. Needed to fix the sink drain plug. Gran servicio al cliente. I wanted to leave a review because it's so nice to still go to a place with great knowledge and help. Came home and fixed the drain plug issue. Gracias jefe”

“This store offers a fantastic selection of high-quality tools at competitive prices, and the staff are always very friendly. The only minor drawback I encountered was an $18 restocking fee when returning an item.”

“EDIT- Sergio the president of the company called me apologized for the behavior of his team and made things right. The product is a good product. The frustration of my review was directed at the inappropriate communication of the customer service, Sergio apologized and promised he would fix that.
I ordered door knobs to replace the generic doorknobs that came with the Bellidini doors. I called the rep to verify the fit and functionality and he offered up that the lead time is quite long and to expect (4 weeks). Luckily I had planned for that. It’s now been 7 weeks. I get delays, as a general contractor that happens all the time not the end of the world.
I reached out for some clarity on the situation and ETA on the product. This is where it comes into play how SKETCHY of a business Door Design Labs is:
I asked them for an ETA April 2nd. Ruslan responds and says “ he doesn’t know. He needs to check back with the manufacturer.”
I wait until the following week ask for a status update. Ruslan says “he can’t exactly say. But if I pay extra he will ship it in the next couple days and I should have it.”
It’s a classic bait and switch scam. He conveniently has the handle he’s been waiting on after asking him for ETAs. But I need to pay more to actually get it quickly. The whole operation is sketchy. Just avoid them. Avoid belldini doors too. Just go EZ Jamb doors, take my advice as a general contractor, it’s not worth saving a couple hundred bucks to work with conmen.”
“Was biking through town when my seat came loose, so I popped in to borrow an Allen key. They helped me out immediately, no questions asked—absolute legends”
“Josh in blinds was extremely helpful and knowledgeable....he is an asset to your company.....give him a raise ... Sharon at cashier was cheerful and helpful... another raise....Ha Ha Your have good and caring employees!!!!”
“As a new homeowner, I am not very handy at all. Was not sure even sure what to do with a snowblower I was given (does this thing even work? how do I turn it on?)From the very first call, this place went above and beyond. Debbie called me at least 5 times to coordinate pickup and drop off (due to my busy travel schedule)- she was super flexible, informative, and understanding of my needs- and she left so much important detail in her messages to me. For example, I had to suddenly go into the city on the scheduled drop off date, and she found a way to get my drop off scheduled for the next day so I could be there for it- and she also coordinated with the delivery tech to make sure he stopped to show me how to actually use the machine. She did this with minimal contact with me as I was in meetings all day.The tech that picked up and dropped off the snowblower gave me extremely detailed instructions on how to use the machine as was well as tips to take care of it and avoid future issues. Either Debbie told him I had no idea what I was doing, or he could just sense it from my questions- but he did a great job of giving me dumbed down instructions without being condescending or making me feel like an idiot. My experience from my first call to payment and receipt of my machine was exceptional and painless. I was listened to, prioritized, and treated with kindness and respect. I will be using them again for any equipment needs, and recommend you do too- especially if you are intimidated by machines/equipment/are not handy.”
“Super useful stuff here and keys are VERY cheap to get copies made!! The guys that work here are so friendly and helpful and can help with pretty much anything you need. HIGHLY reccomend”
“I’ve written to many bad reviews lately and want to highlight some good places. The old couple who run the store are sweet and repair old appliances. Everything is a great price. Lots of options. No credit card minimum. Everybody nice. Great place.”
“I like coming here over 10yrs. Everything is pretty cheap. same sales ladies are here for very long time! non judgmental vibes customers and workers. This summer I just saw the men's swimwear for $5.99 I hope everyone get one to enjoy the summerit's walking distance from Delancey station.”
“I've been in Hoboken for over 25 years and frequently go to City Paint for many of my home/office needs. They have everything you need and customer service is always on point. Highly recommend!”
“I walked in here on a random Saturday and was able to get my keys duplicated in under 5 minutes. The service was quick, efficient, and affordable. I’ll be back to this spot for any of my local hardware needs. Thanks!”
“Great service! We had been sold the wrong toilet pressure tank by another store (who refused to replace it) so the manufacturer (Gerber) worked with the Wallington Plumbing folks who were great and helped us solve the issue!”
