“We spent the night here for our anniversary, my wife loves the city views so this was nice. Location is amazing, in the heart of everything from restaurants to bars/lounges. Staff was really friendly. Just be warned the parking is NOT included in your stay, which is an additional $35. I gave the room a 3 star rating and that’s due to the views! The room had was the deluxe city view w/king bed. The room had some updated finishes but other things were not so much. The drapes were stained and the wall paper was peeling off the wall as well as scratches and dents on the window sills. These are minor things that should be addressed to ensure a better stay. In my opinion these are things you see in run down cheap motels, not an expensive hotel like the Sheraton.”

“We were very happy with the hotel. The rooms were very attractive and clean. Particularly noteworthy is the authentic friendliness of the staff. We were also happy with the location. The location is ideal for exploring the south of Manhattan or taking the ferry to Brooklyn/Williamsburg. The hotel is also in a quiet location by New York standards. Especially compared to Midtown, it is quieter and there are fewer strange characters walking around. However, you can hear air conditioning and other pipes. We could live with that.”

“New, clean hotel, with essential services suitable for the frenetic life of New York. The strong point is the location, in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, one of the coolest areas, literally a stone's throw from the Empire State Building, Grand Central, Macy's, Bryant Park, and so on and so forth. The staff is friendly and available to satisfy any extra requests. A mention for the kindness of the housekeepers and the Grab & Go room attendant. The latter was much appreciated, at any time of the day it is possible to refresh yourself with a hot coffee. We will definitely recommend it to our friends and family for a trip to the big apple.”

“Whenever my travels to NY require a hotel stay, The Kimberly is, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, my favorite home away from home. This particular staff is among the most warm and gracious of all of those whom I have met across the globe. I am ALWAYS welcomed as an extended member of their family and I adore each of them. These lovely people are so genuinely kind. If you greet them in the same way (and if your requests are REASONABLE) they will do their utmost to ensure that your stay exceeds expectation. We discovered The Kimberly when our “go-to” hotel, down the street, had closed due to renovations. When that hotel re-opens, The Kimberly will remain our home in the city. No matter what the occasion — during all the seasons of the year — you will be THRILLED with your visit to The Kimberly and treasure the memories created there.”

“I took 1 star off the rooms, which were very nice, but so small for my husband who is in a wheelchair. Even the walker we use to get him a few steps proved challenging to use in the bathroom & to get him in the bed. Luckily we were only there 2 nights because there’s no way we could have worked around the challenges we faced for longer than that. The service we received was excellent, from check in to check out. It’s in a very convenient area for going to Broadway shows. I highly recommended Margaritaville Resort as great place to stay.”

“Can’t say enough positive things about this hotel. The rooms were spotless and spacious. And the Conrad Hilton provided daily housekeeping and turn down service every night. The location was ideally located across from Brookfield Place and plenty of restaurants (and a small grocery) within walking distance. The staff members were friendly and professional. Would 100% stay here again.”

“Cute hotel. The staff are all really nice and helpful. Really liked the corner room, the bed is comfortable, and the shower is like bathing in a waterfall. The lounges are nice and the rooftop has a great view.I'm sure when the bar is open in the summer it's a great spot.Would be better if the restaurant wasn't under renovation. The 2nd floor bar is really limited and really over priced. The coffee counter in the lobby is only open till 2pm, and there's no machine in the room so if you want some coffee/tea in the afternoon you need to venture out.All in all it's a great hotel but there's definitely room for improvement.”

“The hotel staff were kind and were very easy and polite to deal with. The bar is quite separate in the business side and be sure to observe bookings and so on if you proceed up there. The view of Manhattan Bridge from my room was simple but great. This was pictured from level 9.The nearest station is about 5-7 minutes walk, which is easy to catch if you want to go uptown, there is also plenty of cabs coming in from Brooklyn. Thanks for the hospitality Hyatt team :)”

“Nice location. Clean. Staff was customer service friendly and very helpful. Walking distance to shopping food and the Brooklyn bridge! I’ll be back!Update: Yes a year later I came back. Hotel was on point again, the only thing was the cardio equipment wasn’t working well it the fitness center other than that, still a great stay.”

“This is a review for the bar. Although I’ve recommended the hotel to out of town friends because it’s so special. They are on point with all details and it’s absolutely stunning. Fun crowd in the main and restaurant bar, great service and fun ambiance. The hotel has bikes out front a cart to Bergdorf’s. I’ve had dinner here before and both experiences were stellar. Love the outside seating area and terrace too. Oh and you can get your hair done,”

“Well located hotel with good rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast options are very limited in terms of fruit, but otherwise satisfactory. The cocktail bar below is good for a drink before heading out.”

“We stayed here for my Husband's 40th Birthday. Very clean and friendly staff and they provided a treat for us which was very thoughtful. Breakfast was good and delicious. Our room was by the elevator but we didn't hear any noises. Definitely recommend!”

“Gild Hall is a perfect, quaint boutique hotel with a lot of charm. The ambiance of the hotel is added to by the restaurant and bar all attached and open to guests as well as the public. The location was perfect for my wife and I to spend a night in the Financial District, happy hour drinks, a good meal, and a show in Brooklyn all within such close distance. Rooms were a good size, very clean, and with a modern design. I will definitely look to stay here again anytime I have events upcoming in Manhattan.”

“The hotel is located at a very close proximity to the major tourist attractions in New York City. You can reach places like Times Square or Empire State Building within 12-15 minutes walking. There are number of eateries suitable for vegan, Muslims and Jews with plenty of options . One can also find 24/7 dining options around. The hotel itself is cozy, staff especially in the night shift and concierge is extremely helpful. Rooms provide a comfortable staying options and room rates are much better as compared to other names in the vicinity. There is a decent restaurant and bar inside the hotel if one fancy dining in. The place is highly recommended. The only irritant is a non responsive general manager and automated emails but despite that it’s a good place to stay. They have fixed rate airport transfer which is better than Uber else the subway is only a 7 minutes walk. Happy to assist if you need any further information”

“Cool iconic Roxy Location in Tribeca, I’ve only been for drinks so far, but it I dig the vibes and they have live jazz music on most nights. I’ve also been told they’re pet friendly. I plan to go back next time I’m in tribeca.Food & drinks: Good drink offerings.”

“James and Jeff were the nicest most accommodating people I have met in the costumer service industry. The location is wonderful and I will stay at this hotel for all future trips to New York.”

“The owner, family, employees and even the other guests were truly delightful. From the moment I stepped into the hotel I was greeted with not only amazing smells of the fresh canolis, cappuccino and homemade pastas but inviting and friendly faces. The design and thoughtfulness put into the hotel is breathtaking - all of the history wrapped into a hotel with a story and breathtaking views in the rooms. If you're lucky, you'll even get to listen to Randy's talented children artfully playing the piano. Thank you Blue Moon hotel for this special treat!Your friend from South Dakota”

“The Beekman is beautiful. We booked a basic room and it was small, but standard I'm sure for New York. One thing that did frustrate us was that, in a room with extremely limited space, the hotel chose to take up a huge chunk of it with a snack and beverage cart (with snacks and beverages that were not complimentary). It feels very odd that a 5 start hotel would try to nickel and dime you with chips and bottled water. There was a mini fridge under the cart, so we thought that it at least served some kind of purpose, but when we went to put leftovers in there we found it to be completely packed to the brim with more drinks that we had to pay for to drink. We weren't even able to use a basic hotel room amenity because they were trying so hard to sell us stuff! It cheapened the experience for us a bit. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful and very clean. Plenty of space for the two of us to get ready. Room service was wonderful and came twice a day, once for cleaning and again for turn down service. We only had one issue that we needed help with and concierge was very helpful and efficient. The hotel was quiet for the most part, but our room was not facing any main street. We did notice that the hotel has a lot of younger patrons, and hosts a lot of events (there were like 4 weddings while we were there), so there was some unruly hallway noise late at night. It woke us up a few times but not enough to really cause an issue. Based on less than stellar reviews, we chose not to eat at the restaurant(s) or bar, but they were packed every single night. If you want to eat there, you probably need a reservation! We enjoyed our stay overall, but would probably not book again only because we found ourselves spending so much time walking to other neighborhoods for food, drinks, shopping, and activities. If the Beekman is close to the things you want to do, I would recommend!”

“My company hosted a holiday gathering at this location and the entire staff at the Canopy went above and beyond to support our team. Our team stayed in the beautiful guest rooms and we leveraged a corporate meeting room, which all met our needs perfectly. Additionally, the staff set up cornhole and shuffle board for us to enjoy during our cocktail hour, and helped organize a fun and engaging mixology session at the bar. Would definitely recommend this location for any corporate or personal event. Shout out to Bridnette, David and their entire teams!”

“Location was very good. There was a WholeFoods at the end of the block and a cute coffee shop ( Variety) nearby.Loved near by bar Oscar Wildes and brunch place Grey Dog for brunch. The Hotel was clean and modern. The standard room was VERY small -about 200 sq ft.However, we didn’t spend too much time in the rooms. It’s NYC! We were out the whole day and just crashed here at night.”

“Our penthouse stay was an extraordinarily experience! The rooms were clean with marvellous views. It’s right in the middle of all the action but the night was very quiet and we slept really well. Highly recommend!”

“I have traveled extensively around the world. My last trip took me to New York for medical treatment. I needed a long term stay hotel with kitchen amenities. I was directed to AKA Sutton. From April until July, I experienced the most superb service and comfortable lodging I have ever encountered. The hotel has everything possible to allow you to feel at home. It is convenient to transportation, restaurants and hospital facilities. There are no words to describe the wonderful staff. Every employee becomes your family with legitimate warmth and care. I have never experienced anything quite similar to the AKA Sutton. I would like to mention the incredible staff who made my stay the absolute best I have ever had in all my travels. Manuela, Francisco, John and John, Ernie, Anna, George, Noel. Sheila and Tracy. I call them my extended family. I am so grateful for this exceptional hotel experience. Love, Carla”

“An extraordinary visit! I will edit to update once I get home. Just couldn’t wait to express our gratitude for such a great visit!Edited to add:Pre-trip Responsiveness: I was a nervous Nelly about a few things, especially parking. But when I emailed the hotel weeks and then days in advance with my questions, I received replies each time within minutes. Their responses were helpful and reassuring. I didn't feel like I was a bother at all, and that was exactly how they made us feel our entire stay as well.Parking: The drive into the city isn't easy for most of us, but once I got my bearings out of Lincoln Tunnel, it wasn't difficult to find. Pull up in front of the hotel on the left in the loading zone to go check in/drop your bags, get your pink ticket (about $65 for24 hours), then head back out to park directly across from the hotel. My small Corolla was no problem, but bigger vehicles will certainly not be able to be parked there. Just ask via email ahead of time and they will help you. You can't access your vehicle during your stay so grab all your belongings. Drop off and pick up were both quick despite the poor ratings on their page.Luggage: Our room wasn't ready, but they checked our luggage both in advance and the next day after we checked out so that we could explore the city without our bags.Overall attitude: Every employee was absolutely kind and helpful! We were just so impressed!Food & Drink: There is complimentary wine for guests in the evening - nice touch! We ate lunch and the following breakfast at the adjoining restaurant Parker & Quinn. The decor was lovely and the food just right! It's not cheap, but also not over the top. We loved the margherita flatbread so much that we ordered more late night in our room before our show. The drinks were strong and the coffee was hot. There's a rooftop bar/restaurant, and although it appears to be a 21+ club atmosphere starting around 4pm, before then we were able to go up to eat and/or see the great view of the Empire State Building. Don't miss that!Location: We were close enough to walk to all we wanted to see this trip though we saw staff hailing cabs and calling for cars for guests. We walked about 11 blocks north to Radio City and Rockefeller Center. Bryant Park's Winter fest is just a block and half north. Macy's is about 5 blocks south and Times Square a few blocks to the west. There were plenty of options for shopping and eating, and we felt safe walking everywhere even after dark.Room: We had a rare double queen room, and it was HUGE for NYC! The ceilings are high, and that certainly helps with the feeling of spaciousness. There was a closet and a bathroom with a tub/shower. There was a large tv and a tall window. No fridge as expected, and there were lots of drinks/snacks for sale right in your room in case the need hits you. We didn't hear really any street noise at all on the 10th floor and slept well. Temp control was right in our room. Everything was clean and perfect.Details: We were celebrating a birthday, and when we returned to our room at one point, there was an extraordinary surprise waiting for us. I couldn't believe the attention to detail -- perfect! I am recommending this hotel to all going to NYC, especially for the holidays!”

“FREE PARKING!...YES!Don't let this little independent hotel fool you. From the outside it might look like a small no name hotel, but once you get inside you realize what a nice hotel this is. It is extremely nice clean and the staff is very accommodating. Check in and check out or lightning fast. Got a little fridge, microwave safe the furniture is nice and newer and the sheets are clean and comfortable. This place is literally at the entrance to the Holland Tunnel and the train to go into new york. But most importantly it's free parking! Literally the only hotel in 100 miles that has free parkingI travel all over for work and stay at several hotels per month. This one just made my favorite list.”
