“I've come to the decision over the years that this store has the best sushi in ridgewood. Their sushi deluxe always has a variety of fish including toro and uni. And instead of giving you a standard roll - you get a high quality negi toro roll with it. The grocery always has fresh produce and a nice selection of frozen item I really love this place”

“This little restaurant is incredible. Not a fancy place, but home cooked by the family. We now go once a week. Menu changes daily. The 85 year-old grandma and her family start cooking at 4am each day. Amazing....All the favorites from the old country. Soups, fresh baked bread, ravioli, chicken, meatballs, sausage, pastas, too many to name and desserts like canolis and homemade cookies. I rarely say this, but this is the best Italian food I ever tasted. Plus they will pack up containers to take home. Just like my grandma's. Incredible and very nice people. Rare find.”

“Thanksgiving Catered! Thank you so much for the delicious Turkey that was well seasoned and cooked perfectly (turkey was super easy to reheat)! The sides, Greens beans, Stuffing and the gravy just as good! Ordering online was easy and pick up was even simpler. I was also able to grab 2 pies while I was picking up my order. I was also tempted to grab a few other prepared items that caught my eye like the shrimp cocktail platter and stuffed mushrooms! Will be back thanks again!”

“Visited for the first time, a beautiful place. Some items were higher priced than other organic markets. They didn't have all the items I needed. They are working on restocking. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. They did have some coupons for the items that I bought. For me it's not as convenient as other stores to shop. When I'm in the area, I will stop in to pick up some specialty items.”

“My family and I have been shopping at Adam's for countless years. The store is a small hidden gem of a corner deli stocked with wonderfully, authentic, Polish delicacies. The food is incredibly consistent, and you would be hard-pressed to find better pierogi or kielbasa. The kielbasa is perfectly smoked and the pierogi have an excellent texture to them. My friends with Polish backgrounds also shop here regularly, insistent that there is nothing more authentic than this store in the area. The service is fast and efficient and the store is well-kept and clean. They also speak English, so communicating is never difficult. Recommended!”

“I come to this place at least twice a week. I love the atmosphere and staff. They are always super friendly and positive. The produce is also always fresh and there is a variety of products. You have to try the sandwich bar! The worker there is so nice and he always has a smile on his face. The subs are also delicious. The bakery is one of my personal favorites but they need to bring back the chocolate eclairs!”

“UPDATED REVIEW: I had previously rated 3 stars, but bumping up a star because it seems like this review may have actually made a difference. I've noticed more registers have been open lately and checkout is not as painful. I still wish there could be help with bagging though, as I always feel like I'm holding up the line trying to bag everything myself (while trying to do so mindfully and keeping cold items together, bread and eggs separate, heavy items on bottom, etc.) and pay as fast as possible. Employees who help with bagging would bump this review up to 5 stars.Thanks Fresh Grocer for seeming to take this concern seriously!---Great grocery store but the checkout is so horrendous it makes me not want to go.There’s only ever one human cashier available. The self checkout is poorly spaced and I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have some sort of problem trying to scan my items and bag them. I always end up leaving the self checkout feeling frustrated and angry, because it’s too tight, and also never works.When you do manage to get a human for checkout, no one bags your groceries - something I really miss at grocery stores. It’s so difficult to unload everything, bag it all, and pay without holding up the line if you’ve done a big shop.Wish they would open more checkout lanes and hire people to bag groceries.”

“Matko boska! The selection and prices here are very good. I will return to this establishment and Polish district overall. I would however check the expiration date on things to make sure they aren't already expired before you buy. I bought about 50 items and I only found 1 or 2 that were expired but a few that would be expiring within the next 60 days. The other problem here is the lady that works there is from the communist Poland era so don't expect any good customer service skills. She seems annoyed at having to work here and isn't willing to help much, probably didn't get any Biden bucks.”

“Full service polish deli with great European delicatessen meats including head cheese,salami,double bacon,polish style rolled bacon(we call it Capicola). Hard to find polish grocery items spices etc. Stopped for a quick lunch to go which is today pork stew(not fatty at all) dumplings (similar to potato gnocchi) cold sauerkraut with dill and a radish salad. Also picked up a Nutella and a rose Packzi(donuts) which are almost double the size of your standard jelly doughnuts. No competition does not sway my review if a place is clean friendly reasonable and fresh food it's worth the trip”

“2/11/24 Update, it appears Trader Joe's and Landlord resolved issue of dim or no lighting in parking lot. Thank you for the resolution to improve safety and security of customers - I have updated my rating according to my experience of this busy location but friendly location.------------------- Dec 2023Parking lot is unsafe at night for customers, barely lit and lot of traffic - and landlord of building is said to be irresponsive to resolving issue for months even though Trader Joe's is tenant. Maybe it's time to change locations and move out of location. Customers deserve a safe place to park and navigate to Trader Joe's. I'm sure corporate can resolve this quickly. Will rerate if resolved within a month.”
