“We love Tara. It's a pillar of the community, and stuff is always unique inside. If you choose to go, please be respectful and kind. The owner deserves kindness.”
“I've shopped at Thrift Town for a few years and the selection of thrift items is quite vast. The employees of this establishment are very helpful, with a big shout out for an employee named Archie, who is very kind and extremely helpful.”
“This place is huge! It's an unending garage sale. China, glass ware, clothes, art of all sorts, jewelry, collectibles of all kinds. You just keep on looking.”
“TRULY Amazing owners, some of the nicest people I have ever met. This is a family oriented, veteran owned shop that actually cares about the people walking through! Thank you guys!”
“I have been to so many thrift stores in Albuquerque and this is by far the best. It is well stocked, clean, and products are nice, nothing is gross or broken. The staff are amazing and the environment is comfortable like they want to help you. They also take pretty much every form of payment. Could not recommend this place more. I will be back.”
“Great experience overall. The clothes were well done, clean, and neatly organized when I picked them up. The staff was very friendly and professional, which made the whole process easy and pleasant. Prices were fair, and the quality of work really shows. I’ll definitely be returning and would recommend this place to others. Dont for get to get a coffee first ! So good”
“What a wonderful store! I found a treasure trove of children's books and craft items. All proceeds go to help feed people, and the volunteers who staff are kind and helpful.”
“What a great and clean thrift store! The proceeds go to help elderly people who are in financial distress. The man that works there it was very friendly and informative and the prices are wonderful. They have a variety of things in here it's just a great little store, helping with a great cause!”
“I have enjoyed shopping here for a long time. Quality items, friendly and helpful staff, and have been happy with all purchases. Clean, organized, and very nice things.”
“Donated merchandise from the community, ranging from books, home decor, clothing, jewelry, shoes, and more. All sold to benefit a local animal sanctuary. A non profit organization, therefore no sales tax. Parking is available, but compact. Two separate buildings to explore, but you pay in the back building. Friendly staff. Would recommend and will be back again soon!”
“Wonderful thrift shopping experience with purpose. Always leave with treasures and feel blessed to donate and help needy women and children in our ABQ community.”
“This place has been here since forever I didn't know that they had turned it into a mens rehab center. Ended up locking myself out of my truck and they were ready to help me open it. A big thanks”
“I am so grateful that Other Mothers exists, serving the Albuquerque community. I have been shopping at Other Mothers for a majority of my two children's clothes, and I am consistently impressed by the quality, adorable clothing in excellent, usually like-new condition at truly amazing bargain prices. There is a great assortment of brands and styles, with large holiday sections throughout the year as well. It is very enjoyable perusing the well-organized racks for clothing gems! My older child gets excited every time she hears we are going to Other Mothers. The owner and staff are always friendly and helpful. I have saved so much money by shopping at Other Mothers, and my children are always well dressed. I hope Other Mothers remains a pillar in the community for many years to come!”
“On January 1st 2026 there was an incident that I was sure would not be resolved due to being a holiday. However I was proven wrong as the employee’s (Eric, Susie, Tiffany and Allysa) they stepped up and helped with my situation in a timely matter. The Employees at this store generally care and enjoy their job at this location. They currently are still in contact with us and continue working with us to ensure everything is resolved.”
“Fantastic store with gorgeous merchandise displayed so beautully and neatly and staffed by wonderful and kind people. What could be better than helping the angel babies while picking up some lovely items at incredible prices??!!! ❤️”
“It's nice clothes nicely displayed in a space with a comfortable boutique feel. The young lady running it was personable & helpful in showing a quick recall of the merchandise pertaining to my needs.”
“0n 05/06/23 I found a great bargain I purchased a very beautiful two piece “Roman Marble” glass table set for only! $100.00 one hundred dollars, I mean it is absolutely stunning my family and friends love ? it if I could upload photos I would. I was looking for a black pair of heels ? for Mother’s Day Sunday to wear to church ⛪️ we’ll guess what I bought a pair of (Jinnifer Lopez - AKA: JLO) for a discount price for only $2.00 two dollars. I am absolutely ? thrilled with my purchases. My space is limited for my studio apartment therefore, I’m now looking out for two small?️love seat’s for my living room. I will most definitely be returning. This Salvation Army “Thrift Store” location did not disappoint?”
“Went in to the Goodwill at Juan Tabo and was helped by their Assistant Manager, Pablo Perea. He was very helpful and went out of his way to assist me. It was a pleasure doing business with him at this store.”
“I’ve been to this store a few times already however lately it seems to be getting better every time. Not sure if it’s new management but I am always greeted with a smile and the store is nice and clean and overall a pleasant shopping experience. Lots of good finds!”
“I had a nice visit about 1 hour before closing. One person really stood out. I wish I would have gotten her name, but she was wearing a Steelers shirt. She greeted me when I came in and seemed to enjoy her job. As it approached closing, she gave people a gentle reminder that they would be closing. She even offered me an outside cart to take my large vase to my car.
As a manager that has been in a customer service industry, her work ethic and personality really stood out. I do not typically write reviews, but I wanted to let owners and management know that she is a keeper.”
“Loved this store. Large variety of items to choose from. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Prices were also very reasonable. I will be back to shop at this store.”
“That's a big store and they have a lot of stuff and on Wednesday things are half price. I go there to get my work shirts and my sleeping shirts. I would certainly recommend it.”
“I swear I remember this place being bigger but maybe not!
Always good deals and higher quality merchandise at this location. Found the same this trip! Always a great place to find some deals!”
“I've been a regular shopper at Savers since I started shopping there during Covid. There are SO many good clothes to be had. One might be surprised by what people donate. I like that I'm choosing a more environmentally friendly option while also enjoying the savings to our budget. The only thing is, you have to look the clothing over really well before you buy. Some people donate clothes that have holes in them. I don't understand why people do that, but they do. I've told my husband that I have the best wardrobe I've ever had in my life since I started shopping at Savers/Goodwill. It can be a little overwhelming when you go in, so go with the idea of shopping for just a few items. Then, if you have the time, browse a few other areas. It is always so much fun to see what you might find. The return policy is exchange only. If you can try it on in the isle, then you know if it fits. If you cannot try it on, then plan carefully for a return (exchange). Buy used!”
“A truly wonderful experience! The volunteers were all very friendly and helpful, and the layout of the store is impeccable! Everything is well labeled and offered at truly great prices. And there are beautiful cats for adoption! What a great idea!”
“They have some neat finds but sometimes are a little pricey. You can't return clothing that doesn't fit for refund but get store credit. It's good to buy jeans here, they go for about $8 and some are barely worn. Sometimes you find good home furnitures/ decore that they brought from Target. The staff is always friend and helpful.
**** Update, October 2025:
Sometimes you find good finds here however the lack of dressing rooms is not convenient. They also increased the prices of pants, shirts, books & CDs yet still can't provide you a bag. Most of the people at the register lack interpersonal skills.”
“Staff was kind. Was willing to purchase a few items. Did not care that they informed me that they would only give me 3% of what they would charge for the clothing but I guess that's how businesses work. Didn't have a great selection to pick from to purchase new items.”
“I’m visiting from out of town, I’ve been to a lot of Goodwills and this is by far the best one, the first thing I noticed was how well kept and organized everything was and how the clothes were even color coordinated ! Staff is top notch, Priscilla and Brandon were amazing, I’ll be visiting every time we come!”
“They come around our neighborhood from time to time and leave tags the day before their truck is scheduled to be there. They've always picked up our thrift items promptly. They don't take everything, but it's an easy and convenient way to get rid of unwanted household items; thanks for saving me many trips to the thrift store!”
