“Stayed in the Charlie room. We just loved the decor really took us back in history and such a great story. The most unique place we've stayed ever. Hoppy hour in the trolley car was amazing served by Jesse ,owner, brewer ,artist and a great guy. Highly recommend this place and we will be back!”

“LOVED this property. Almost reminded me of Greece (but with a southwestern flare). Cute rooms and remodeled recently. Check in was quick and easy. Only about 8 parking spots right next to the building, not sure if there are more somewhere else. Shower could be given a little more TLC.Walkability: Less than a 15 min walk to Old Town. Best to go from New York Ave to Rio Grande Blvd.”

“Great place to stay!! Even has security monitoring the property. Clean, comfortable and has all the amenities! We stayed twice - traveling to our destination and traveling back from our destination.”

“We haven't stayed here yet. We went to the Hozho museum as we've donated and hadn't seen it yet. After going in we definitely will be staying here. The grounds and the outside area is so beautiful, the photos don't do it justice. We sat out there a bit getting our day plans together and it's just gorgeous. With a tea in hand it would have been perfect, so we'll definitely be staying here at some point. Super lovely”

“The vibe was excellent, can’t say enough good things about all of the staff from valet to room service and everything in between. Super helpful, friendly, and prompt. If you want a good view don’t stay here, but if you just want to be high up in the city it’ll do. It’s an older hotel so the soundproofing is mid, but if you’re used to sleeping in hotels in the city it’s a pretty average sound experience. In-room amenities are sparse, and the shower was kind of disappointing with the small showerhead and weird design choice of deleting the shower door which floods water into the bathroom and under the door as you shower. The King bed is outstanding and sleeps 3 comfortably, furniture is comfortable and tasteful. Don’t order the french toast though, I would give it two stars overall for being edible, but why a baguette? You’re taking the french part of french toast too literally and have made a terrible mistake, arguably one of the worst breads for french toast, and then you put a weird dry breading on it. Please stop. Try challah bread if you don’t actually want to punish your customers for ordering french toast in the morning. The price point isn’t outrageous, but it does imply a somewhat higher level of quality that just isn’t there.”

“Honestly, I wouldn't even give a star if I had an option. The first day was awful. There was no hot water. The open shower made it even colder. No one was there to give me another key to another room due to no hot water from the other room (19). They said someone would be there at 7 am. They mentioned due to the inconvenience the latest could be 9:30 am.”

“If you want to feel safe and like family, this is where you want to be. I’ve stayed there for the last two weeks for a corporate trip. Every morning Laura treated me like family. When you’re in a new city and do not know anyone it’s great. My room was spotless, the amenities were great. Offering dinner too on the weekdays is over the top. I unfortunately due to them being booked had to stay at another hotel. I missed the Staybridge so much. When I come back to visit I will be staying here. Thank you all for an amazing stay!!!!’”

“You can tell the hotel is run down, but they've done a very good job fixing it up. Little details still show if you notice that kind of thing. We went for the pool / hot tub and were not disappointed. Our kids LOVED the indoor / outdoor pool and the hot tub was nice. No breakfast served which is a pretty big downside for this place. Lobby was very nice and relaxing. The glass elevator was also enjoyable. Staff was perfect! Their texting system is amazing as I was able to send a message directly to them and get an almost immediate response! Whyyyyyy doesn't every hotel do that?! Price was a bit on the high side, especially with the extra $20 tacked on for stuff that obviously should be included and is by other hotels. Basically paying $20 per night for 1 can of soda (or local beer/cider) and unlimited water bottles. Towels were almost humorously rough to use. Total sand paper. Overall I'd still say it was worth it and we'd stay here again for sure.”

“Very comfortable hotel near airport and University of New Mexico. We had great restaurant recommendations from front desk. Happy to have the room upgrade. Great spinach souffle at breakfast.”

“The hotel and accommodations were great! Our stay was made exceptionally nice by the friendliness and professionalism of the entire staff. We loved the breakfasts and were amazed by the chefs skills! We also appreciated Tammy and Oriana, at the front desk, who were extremely helpful when we needed to change our length of stay and always available to answer questions. The hotel is very nice but it is their employees that make it 5 star!”

“Needed extra room for the holidays, had family in town for the New Year decided this was the best location. Great stay. Clean rooms. Attentive staff. Fresh Coffee and Breakfast was well stocked with numerous options. Check in was simple and easy as a Bonvoy members with their keyless option. Plenty of parking and easy access. One elevator and stairs for this 4/floor property but never had anyone ride and delay while using it. Chris..evening staff person, very helpful and accommodating!”

“It's a nice looking Hotel and has a restaurant within the hotel,  and it definitely had a family-friendly vibe. I have stayed there many times and enjoyed it each time. The hotel has that Southwestern flair to it.  I did get free vouchers for breakfast and discount on happy hour drinks. I did go to the bar, and the bartender was really kind and did a great job..It was a clean, nice hotel and staff are very attentive.I ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant within the hotel, was jason said grimly.I enjoyed a hatch green chili breakfast burrito, with bacon one morning,For dinner, I had some wonderful homemade.  tamales that were stuffed with the seasoned chicken and covered with a really nice  Green Chile, it came with rice and beans.  Every time I was there, the food was served relatively quickly, and it was hot and deliciousI would tell you like other hotels that it can be very busy in the morning so you have to either come early  or you have to be ready to be wait a little or if you're retired and  and don't have a schedule come a little later but be patient with the staff because they're gonna be really pushed with a lot of people coming in enough for breakfast, You could always ask if it's gonna be a real busy time in the morning and if it is there are plenty of really good places for breakfast nearby. There are no microwaves in the rooms anymore. Because they want people to eat in the restaurant which is understandable. There is a community microwave on the third floor, and if you're there for an extended stay, you can get one put into your room.I can't say enough about the staff at the front desk. The bar and the restaurant. I'll always continue to stay at this hotel when i'm coming through Albuquerque.Food & drinks: Wonderful restaurant and bar within the hotel”

“We have tried many Inns in Albuquerque and this one was a pleasant surprise. It is very reasonable, close to great eateries such as the famous Sadies and Frontier. The room was spacious, very clean, great king mattress, very clean linens, big bathroom, nicely decorated, charming room accents, well maintained, fenced secured lot. The check in staff was very friendly, helpful in advising us what local places to eat, Free KCup coffee in the morning. Next door to Denny's for breakfast. Downside, you can hear the people walking on the floor above but typical of 2 story motel. We will definitely choose the San Mateo Inn again.Rooms: Spacious, very clean, cute, very clean linens, great mattress, newly rennovated. No issues with hot water as others complained about.Safety: Completely fenced in parking lot.Food & drinks: KCup coffee available in chevk-in lobbyNoteworthy details: Two nice Lindt chocolates on the bed, soft red accent pillow on the bed, very vcean floor very large bathroom.”

“Love this hotel. I like the tiny hot tub, the breakfast is lovely and included. The rooms are small and beautiful. The shuttle will drive you around the area—3 mile radius. Rooftop bar is gorgeous.”

“We all travel with our dog so we stay at Best Western. This trip we didn't but still stayed at BW for our first visit to Albuquerque. Our son was an inpatient at UNM. Not only were we picked up at the airport with their shuttle service we were within the 5mile radius of the hospital so we were taken and picked up daily for our 3 day stay. The breakfasts were hot, with a variety of food. The hospitality and service was the absolute best we have experienced. We put this stay at the top of them all. Jessica, Rafael, and Gigi, we thank you!”

“The main reason I write this review is for Jose and Bobby of the security team. These gentlemen went above and beyond their call to duty to ensure my incredibly drunk friend made it back to her room safe and sound. They have my utmost respect, and I wanted to give a small token of appreciation for everything they did for us tonight. I really hope the hotel recognizes these gentlemen. God bless you both.”

“Loved it! Was clean, all staff was friendly and helpful in every way. We stayed there for the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship #BKFCABQ. The staff goes above and beyond. The room was large. The free breakfast was good. They do need cream cheese for the bagels . Would stay here again in walking distance from the strip mall and mall.Rooms: Very nice, clean, and spacious.Safety: We walked all over and was safe.Walkability: Strip mall right across the street, mall a block away.Food & drinks: Lots of options in walking distance”

“A place for a peaceful rest in a safe part of Albuquerque where you don't have to worry about your car being broken into is what anyone needs when they need a break while traveling across the country and that's what we experienced here. It's worth the extra money you spend to stay here than most hotels in the area.Safety: Good security system for doors at night and they have a guard patrolling the parking.”

“This place is immaculate, affordable, and centrally located. However, I really need to recognize the above/beyond customer service I received from Ben at the front desk and from the service staff whose names I will never know but nonetheless appreciate. At some point in my stay, I lost a very expensive cosmetic contact lens. As my checkout hour approached, and I still had not found it, I called the front desk and asked them to charge me for another night, because it was still less than the cost of replacing my lens.Ben told me he understood completely and encouraged me to continue searching, and that meanwhile, he would turn my reservation into a late checkout, giving me two additional hours. He said after that, if I hadn't found my lens, we could reserve another night.Luckily, with the extra time, I actually did find my lens (stuck to the back of a table leg, however that can happen). I rapidly packed my vehicle and left, but not before stopping by the front desk to thank Ben and to leave a cash tip for everyone involved. This little act of customer service has earned my repeat business. I will happily go out of my way and pay a few dollars more to stay anywhere, to use any business, that demonstrates an appreciation for its customers.Noteworthy details: Truly superior customer service.”

“The owner needs to get new maid services and I think that place would turn around quick, someone who wants to work and who gets up like your supposed to at eleven and dress nice and cares about her appearance. I am just saying those things matter! Especially when your running a business!”

“First time at a Tru by Hilton. Very minimalist but very comfortable beds, quiet and great price for breakfast, gym and pool included. Staff was incredible and offered us a coupon for the adjacent Outback which we used. Loved how quiet considering the hotel is right next to I25.”

“We stayed here while traveling to another state, and it was great decision. We checked in late and the night and the woman working the front desk, Rosebud, was amazing! She was so nice and helped get us all checked in, so we could get to our room and rest before another long drive the next day. The rooms were good and the bed was comfy. The hotel was far enough from the highway and down a side road, so it was quiet and easy to sleep. We appreciated Rosebud so much so, that when returning home we decided we would stay once again at this hotel. I definitely would recommend staying if you are looking for an affordable place to stay in Albuquerque.”

“Everything about this place is perfect, I almost don't want to leave a review just so the rooms are never overbooked!Staff is helpful, knowledgeable about the area, and more than accommodating if any issues arise with your room.Moreso than anything else, the rooms themselves are nice and clean, great A/C, great TV channel options, and perfect location for shopping.(Edit: We were able to view the room and inspect it seemingly as long as we needed to before paying for it. This made it easy to find the right room. I'm confident that if we ever had an issue with our room, we would be moved to another if available - awesome service here.)Nearby activities: Great shopping choices are nearby for long stays, including but not limited to Sam's Club and Costco.”
