“My mom told me to come to these guys. Said they were trustworthy and that they explain everything to you before putting something in or on. I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos on scams that other lib places perform. It is so good to experience a ship that finally is so trustworthy. You actually sit n your car while they perform all functions. You can see the cars in front of you getting taken care of. So refreshing to know these guys are local and so trustworthy. The two owners talk to you and explain things to you. And they show concern. I brought my Caddy and my daughter’s Chevy Spark in this week and now this is where I will be taking all my cars for now on!! They actually drain your oil and not say they did when they didn’t. So impressed with these guys. Everybody in South Valley, start bringing your cars here for oil changes”

“I found a screw embedded in one of my tires yesterday and wanted to get it taken care of before it went flat. I read good reviews about Rio Grande Tires, and since I live less than 1/2 mile from the location, I gave it a shot. Even though there was only one man in the shop when I pulled up, he checked and found a same size, new-to-me tire for less than half what I figured it was going to cost me. He had the old tire off and the replacement tire on, balanced, and reinstalled in less than half an hour. Outstanding!”

“Phenomenal experience at Gene's. First time here and Justin was just the best: funny, cool, honest, and efficient. I hadn't really found a garage yet after my warranty expired and I sure wasn't taken my Camry to Larry Miller.I needed a routine inspection just to make sure everything on my car was running soundly - I've had surprises before and have made an effort to be more pro-active about preventive maintenance. Scheduling was simple, I dropped the car off at 8:00am and picked it up around 3:30 in the afternoon. Justin was great about letting me know what needed to be done (really nothing except routine maintenance) and was good at explaining everything to a very auto-illiterate customer like myself.It's very reassuring to know we've found such a great place so close to home to take our car for as long as we'll be in Albuquerque.If you work at UNM (particularly North Campus area), Gene's is close enough that, for anything minor, you can drop off and walk to work then pick up in the afternoon.Service: General repairs & maintenance”
“Wonderful experience! I walked in wanting 4 custom battery cables. I gave them the wire gauge, lengths, and lug sizes. They found the red cable they didn't know they had, made up just what I asked for, and I left 30 minutes later a happy customer. And the price was right. What drew me to this shop is the initial customer service of setting up an appointment and when I came to drop off my car the continued hospitality. What I appreciate the most is their communication. Then, when a manufacturer sent some ill-fitting parts they both went to war with the manufacturer for me to get it fixed and even drove from Albuquerque to Santa Fe on their own dime to pick the car up to avoid any further or potential damage when it was time to install the corrected parts.I'll continue to take my Z here for as long as I own it, even if it is a 1 hour drive for me.”

“I had gone to multiple places to get my car checked because the engine was extremely loud and would vibrate so much and my abs light and traction control light would come on all the time and mess with my gas and break pedal. Not one place could figure out why, they kept saying oh your car is very old or has too much miles and even mentioned getting a whole new transmission. They were able to figure out what was causing all three problems on the same day and fix it on the same day and it came out 4x cheaper from other places. All the staff was extremely kind and as a young girl I felt no intimidation or that I was getting taken advantage of because I didn’t know anything. Will definitely only go here from now on.”
“When we arrived in New Mexico which is 21 hours away from home our fuel pump failed we took our truck to David even though his schedule was extremely full he still managed to fit us in he went above and beyond to get our part shipped over night.
