“Last week my 89yo mother was having trouble with her vehicle. She lives in Los Alamos NM, a town lacking adequate/qualified repairs especially for foreign cars. She had warning lights having to do with the oil system and the closest service was over 40 miles away. She made an appointment with her service center a few days away but did not want to do something to destroy her engine.

Knowing it was oil related, she found her way into the Los Alamos, NM O’reilly’s. She received great service and assistance from a young male employee that engaged, actively listened, inspected her vehicle and oil level, and proceeded to help her and make her comfortable. Perceiving her concern and fears about the situation, the employee finished the transaction by offering to follow her home to make sure the car made it to her home. He tailed her all the way to her residence, made sure she made it to her driveway and returned to the store.

I couldn’t be more touched and appreciative. I live 15 hours away and felt helpless that I couldn’t be present. This employee went way above and beyond the definition of excellent service to the level of heroic. It may not seem a big deal but so many other things could have happened. She didn’t end up on the side of a dangerous highway in a high crime zone. I wish I knew the man’s name. I’m forever forward an O’Reilly’s customer.

Many only wish to have employees that do the right thing when nobody is watching. Few can contemplate hiring a worker who makes the community a better safer place for its most venerable members while representing their business. Most business owners wouldn’t support or contemplate allowing an act that costs the business more than the revenue gained. Big kudos to management/ownership who would create a work environment that allows this level of caring. Thank you!”

My emergency experience was one to remember. I was stressed and in a pinch my car simply stopped at smiths gas station. After getting a jump I asked if I could be seen right away, not in the best of moods.

Typically you need an appointment but they saw how stressed I was. If it’s anything other than the battery I would leave it and make an appointment.

They worked their magic understood my issue and resolved it with in an hour. Loose and dirty battery terminals. Wasn’t anything serious.

They even took the time to explain what to check and or do if it happens again. Thanks for the knowledge.
