“I am thrilled with this shop for a specific reason: the expertise and knowledge of Ms Singer. I had to ask a few questions about my order, because I thought I had ordered an incorrect size, and also I saw a different price on the MoJ website. Ms Singer replied immediately to explain that my order was correct, and that the price difference was due to the other item being of a different size.
This bracelet will be an heirloom, sturdy, and symbolic of the hieroglyphics of Native Americans. Alex Sanchez's more contemporary work is just beautiful and the item looks exactly as pictured.
I highly recommend both the artist and this shop!”
“Taos has many terrific art galleries and Magpie is at the top of the list. They're sponsoring an auction to benefit those in need here in Taos. That alone warrants patronage. Check them out when you come to Taos.”
“Had a great time in this shop. When I first entered the shop, I stood in front of the only locked glass case in the store for a while. I asked if I could take photos to send my son to see if he was interested in any of the jewelry pieces. They happily agreed. Then the lady there offered to open the cabinet so I could look at anything closer. She didn’t hover, just let me look in peace and without monitoring me. It was nice to be trusted. I ended up buying a beautiful and unique ammonite bracelet that I love and wear everyday. I returned the next day with my four sons ranging from 14 and up. They were welcoming and helpful with them. In other rock shops we’ve had people very concerned if my boys touched anything. These folks encouraged us to look and touch and even brought out boxes with more examples of the things we were looking at. I bought several more pieces of lovely and unique jewelry, and my boys got various specimens of minerals, fossils, and even a tiny meteorite. We really enjoyed this shop and will return if ever back in Taos. Even now I’m looking at their website for more jewelry. Lovely shop and owners. Highly recommend.”
“A must stop when you're in Taos! The building itself is an old church from the 1700s and has been in the owner's family since 1908. It is chock full of unique items, and there's even a section set up like a little museum in the back. The owner knows so much about Taos history and is so friendly and welcoming.”

“Awesome gallery with many stunning and unique pieces. The lady working was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in finding and picking out the perfect pieces. She even let my wife try on a gorgeous beyond belief Kyanite necklace!!”
“Liz was very helpful as I chose earrings and a ring. She was familiar with their extensive inventory and gave me background on the artist for my ring--which was the owner. Love the intricate and unique work on the turquoise ring. I feel I received good value. I'll visit them again next time I'm in Taos!”
“Walked into this store while spending the day in Taos and ended up staying longer than expected. Really interesting mix of items you don’t see everywhere, and the place has a relaxed, local feel to it. Prices were fair, the shop was clean and easy to browse, and the people working there were friendly and down to earth. Definitely glad I stopped in and would come back next time I’m in town.”

“Great little shop for Taos souvenir t-shirts and hoodies. They have a nice selection of designs and styles, and reasonable prices in terms of souvenir-type clothing. They also have a fun “retro” Magic Eye poster hanging behind the register!”

“Sun sank low in Taos, gilding Bent Street. MoMo Taos glowed—jewelry alive in soft light. Moriah, the owner, stood elegant, her design eye sharp. She spoke warmly, words flowing about her process, mixed metals, and passion for curating one-of-a-kind adornments. My wife chose a silver ring, sleek and bold, and silver disc earrings, heavily oxidized, diamonds glinting. Her jewelry was so astonishing I may wear her ring. I want to return to find my own special piece. Moriah’s gallery—pottery, paintings—whispered stories. We left with her art, the desert’s light fading behind us.”
“I had the pleasure of meeting Larry at his store in Taos. He has many beautiful pieces and is one of the guys to see for authentic and vintage Native American jewelry. He took the time to look at a bracelet I had purchased in Gallup and helped me date the piece and identify the particular type of turquoise. Just a really great guy who knows his stuff and is a trusted resource for authentic pieces.”
“I just got my hat from Kristina & Mikel. It fits like a DREAM and I LOVE how they personalized it for me. ? if you love hats you need to go to SIX HAND HAT COMPANY! It’s worth a trip to Taos and it’s worth the wait. This could be addicting. More is more! Xo”
“I had antique, Art Deco, opal ring with a chip and I knew from looking at Emily Ruffin’s designs that she was the only one I wanted to work on it. I sent it to her along with some other sentimental pieces to repair: a ring with sapphires and a ring with emeralds and diamonds. Emily explained everything to me very clearly about what she was going to do to fix the rings. Emily’s staff helped me with the shipping, which is a special process for insurance and safety. Everything worked beautifully, and as I imagined, the work was impeccable. I am now enjoying wearing my rings again and I feel safe knowing the stones are all secure. Plus, they look so pretty. Emily helped me choose a stone to create a new, unique mother’s ring with representing each of my three kids on one piece I can stack with my wedding rings. Quality of work: Five stars. Customer service: Five stars. Artistry/style: Five stars. Thank you Emily and team!”

“Amazing collection of beautiful pieces of jewelry and art. Alain helped us and was extremely knowledgeable about the pieces I was interested in, and ultimately ended up purchasing. He eagerly showed us some absolutely stunning items, even though they were out of our current budget. You can tell he also really loved, revered and felt connected to the local artist’s pieces that he has here. It was a very enjoyable experience. Thanks Alain!!”
“Updated review.
I received a replacement of the broken item. Thanks for following through. I appreciate it.
Received a broken glass item in a soaked box. No response and I guess no customer service. It was packaged in a big floppy box with items and Peanut styrofoam. It should have been packed better.”
“If you want leather goods done right Taos Leather is a must!We are so very sad that Larry has become the leathersmith to the angels! But stop in and say hello to his wife, Jaya and his beautiful daughter. I own three of Larry's belts and it is very hard not to purchase another.”
“Great place for a variety of smoking supplies. Vaporizers, pipes, cleaners, grinders, papers, they've got everything. Guy that works here is always friendly and helpful and prices are reasonable”
“Having seen this business in the same place for the last 25 years, I figured they must be doing something right. I finally had a reason to go there and Humie was great, very professional, and welcoming. I’d go back.”
