“My input for Daemen College is from the perspective of a physician who has hired 5 physician assistants who have graduated from this college. It has an excellent program for physician assistants that can matriculate directly from high school or transfer to this school after obtaining a year degree from other colleges or after a bachelor's or Master's degree from other institutions. Students who graduate from Daemen's PA program have a very high pass rate for the board examination (exceeding 97%) and almost all are hired immediately in the Buffalo Niagara area or elsewhere. Clinically, graduating PA's are excellent and immediately able to evaluate and treat patients in clinical practice. Daemen is also great because it provides tuition assistance to almost all of their students in this program to the tune of approximately 11,000 dollars a year. Daemen has been recognized locally, regionally as a top tier institution in training individuals in healthcare professional degrees including physical therapy, nursing, athletic trainers and physical therapy. These programs are highly competitive to get into which makes matriculation quite coveted.
