“Took our truck for a routine oil change. Staff was friendly, polite, professional, and super thorough. Our “topside” tech, Tyrek, inspected the vehicle, checked lights, fluid levels, seals and filters. Down below, Michael was speedy and efficient, and made quick work of lowering and reinstalling our skid plates (which can be kind of a hassle.) We stayed in the vehicle during the service and the both the techs and our CSR, Devin, chatted with us and gave us recommendations on things to do when visiting Buffalo. Honored our military discount. Overall great experience.”

“Great shop! Got me in and out in 30 minutes without an appointment for an inspection. I know that may sound like a normal shop, but to be honest I had been struggling to find a shop that would actually inspect my car because it's an EV. I had already gone to 6 different shops over the 2 previous weeks and they all either said 6 hour wait or just couldn't inspect my vehicle because they didn't have the proper lift. I get that EVs have different jack points but honestly some of the previous shops I tried just felt like they didn't want to bother because inspections are such low ticket items and EVs don't have oil changes and other items to up charge with at those appointments. The staff at scruggs was very professional and polite especially for a walk in and I really appreciate that they accommodated me quickly that morning and got me on my way. The funny thing too is that just this week I've had 3 other people mention Scruggs in conversation and how much they like the shops and how good they all were so keep up the good work guys. It's clearly getting out how quality of a shop you are. If you are looking for a good auto shop for a tesla/EV this is definitely the place. More than likely they are just as good for ICE vehicles as well so give them a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed”

I don't have a regular garage, and have only visited a few repair shops over the years with different cars Ive had. Most recently after parking my key fob became stuck and the starter didn't engage. After trying AAA for a jump (and sold a new battery) I found myself in need of repair when the new battery didn't start the car.
Using AAA to tow it over. Ive never been here and honestly have barely noticed it on Edward St when Ive driven by. Set back from the road a bit with their parking lot in front, upon walking in you realize how deep the building is and how much fits in it. (Neat)
Well they gladly accepted my car, I had it towed after calling and discussing what I knew with Chris over the phone and make sure they had availability.
The reason that I came here for wasnt as serious as I feared. Upon coming back those fears were met by what it cost to pass the NYS inspection. Obviously no fault of their own, I have a 2013 Chevy that is a hand me down from my parents and had already expected one issue that would probably needed to be addressed. (The Tires)
Overall Im really impressed with Towne Motor Car, they were genuinely nice with every interaction and gave me the information that I needed to make a decision or had the conversation with me when what I thought was an issue wasnt. What really impressed me was when I had my car in for the starter issue they fixed the key issue (separate issue in my mind) and they even put my slightly fallen bumper back in place. Going above and beyond for a customer, very strange nowadays. But greatly appreciated!
Bringing back in for the inspection they were easy to coordinate the drop off (key in the box, but they were open before 8 to hand it off). I received a call mid-morning to go over the issues needed to be addressed and got a timely call and text near the end of the day to pick it up. Plus they have a website where you can review your past service history, and make appointments. They even use your preferred communication method to reply back (call or text).
Although I hope I dont need it soon, I think I found a garage to stick with.”

“This is the only Valvoline location I use because of their employees. I worked in Buffalo temporarily in 2024 for a few months and needed an oil change. I was under the impression that all Valvoline locations were able to quickly purchase an oil filter if they didn't have it in stock (like the location I had at home in Rhode Island), but that is not the case. However, I was lucky that the district manager of this location at the time was in the store, and he offered to go purchase my filter. I drive a 2015 VW Jetta (TDI/ Diesel), so my oil and filter are uncommon. Since then, I've officially relocated to Buffalo and came back to this Valvoline. Although they didn't have my oil and filter, I was able to buy them online and provide them for the staff here. Not having to change my own oil is very helpful, but the staff here make the entire process much easier and seamless. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and communicative.”

“I had a really positive experience here. Every employee was exceptionally courteous and polite. My oil change and tire rotation were completed in just 45 minutes. “I am reporting on two visits. The first was for four new tires. It took 3.5 hours and they were closing up as I was leaving. The problem was that the car had “gone to sleep” and until it woke up the needed electrical adjustments could not be made. I had never heard of such a thing and none of the staff could explain it. I believe the work was done well but given the original estimate of time (an hour or less), I was frustrated with the wait and lack of understandable rationale. $50 was deducted from the bill as a courtesy.
The second visit was for diagnosing and repair a tire that was losing air. This was on a different car. It took an hour and went smoothly.
I should add that prior to these visits we had regularly used Dunn and will continue.”
