“Love this store! Service is impeccable—specifically Andrew (a real cute deli meat employee). Always helps me find what I’m looking for. He could talk to me about deli meats and cheeses all day, really knows what he’s talking about. Guy deserves a promotion and raise!! WHOO GO ANDREW!”

“Love Aldi! Always my go to. But today, after picking up over 10lbs of chicken, I discovered to my dismay, no Salamida for me nay nay. If I went to an Aldi anywhere outside of the southern tier, this would be no surprise. But we are the home of speidies- and Salamida is lifeblood!!!! PLEASE bring it back, because using anything but to marinate speidies is just a disappointment.”
“Very cool health food store concept.
I first came here with my parents as a toddler decades ago. They still carry top quality herbs, prepared food and even fresh produce!
Down to Earth was making waves 🌊 in the health food 🍱 🍲 🍒 long before it was cool.”
“I and my family visit couple of time for sweets and buy groceries. Buy birthday cake, pastries, samosa and sweets, that’s fresh and delicious. Owner of the store very treating every well and take care the customer.”
“I love Weis! I’ve been getting the Weis brand mussels in garlic butter for my husband for $4. (Seafood frozen).
Good prices and helpful staff.”
“I like this grocery store.. it's small .. easy to get in and out.. local family runs it... Homemade food in the back by deli. Very helpful people to find things ... I will be back there again.”
“I feel they have a better assortment of groceries vs. Price Chopper and I swear Weis fruit is way fresher and lasts longer than Price Choppers. They have some pretty good deals usually. My biggest dislike is weis's points reward system. I don't think they give nearly as many as price chopper.”
“I love Robbie’s, especially the vestal spot. They only carry local, fresh and in season fruit and produce, which is not always the case at all spots. I look forward to their local strawberries every year! Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t recommend Robbie’s enough!”
“Different than I remember. Been a while.
Management might want to address the 6 ft step ladder being left in customers way of selecting products in an aisle though.
Clean pleasant store I thought. Self checkout loudly speaking the price of each item scanned was unnerving. Felt invasive of my privacy. I get the logic. Better logic (my opinion) fill other registers with employees.”
“Stopped here en route to Buttermilk Falls and stumbled onto their delicious fried fish sandwich! Fresh haddock perfectly battered on a tasty roll. The fish is sold by weight and our sandwiches were between $3.50 and $4.00 each. A very pleasant surprise in an unassuming shop. The ladies at the deli counter were the sweetest. Fish fry only available on Fridays. Highly recommend!”
“They may not have a large variety of things but they are nice people and keep the store fairly maintained. If you request for them to order certain things for in the future they normally do.”

“Price Chopper offers good prices and a clean store. While the shelves could use more stock, we attribute that to the broader economic issues happening across the USA. What really makes the difference here is the staff — Amanda and Chelsi were awesome, friendly, and incredibly helpful. More than anything, it’s the welcoming, helpful team that keeps us coming back.”

“My review is based on my experience with the floral department. I had 10 custom centerpieces arranged for a celebration of life dinner. The in store florist, Kelly, was patient and listened to all my ideas and concerns. She separated flowers from several in store mixed flower bouquets and rearranged them with in store roses and greenery. She maintained communication with me from my initial store visit and pick up. And she boxed them up for me in a way that made them easy to transport in my car. The centerpieces exceeded my expectation, they were absolutely stunning. Thank you so very much Kelly, the flowers really brightened our day.”
“There is a cashier with blonde hair at the Watson Blvd location that made my experience very pleasant with her kindness and made me feel comfortable throughout my stay at the store. Her name is Jennifer I believe”
“The store is spotless, well-organized, and clearly cared for—everything looks inviting the moment you walk in. The staff were wonderful, greeting me warmly and answering my questions with genuine kindness and a smile. I was impressed by how many items and choices they have, and everything was neatly arranged so it’s easy to shop. You can see from my photos that there’s something here for everyone. Such a pleasant shopping experience—I’ll absolutely be coming back!”
“Some good deals, but also somethings, you pay more for than you can buy online like Sheba cat food - over $14.00 for a 12 pack. Chewy charges $13.34 if you subscribe, Amazon can be even cheaper, you just have to know your prices.”

“Don't know what the deal is with this place. Been open, closed, n re-opened so many times in the last ten years, I've lost track. Quick stop for fuel on you're way outta town. Car runs fine on the gas I buy there. Not a lot of typical "mini mart" merch but you can getta Mt. Dew n some SlimJims.”
“Bought a carton of cigarettes woke up way home and realized that it was open and there were only eight packs instead of 10 and he overcharged me $5 for it to begin with when I spoke to the owner he was very apologetic and immediately gave me the cigarettes I was missing and gave me the money I was overcharged and informed me that it was just a new employee that was unaware how to do things”
“I like the app and the cell phone text message I get, and the workers are friendly and helpful. Sometimes, the line does get long extra support is needed. I also do not like the 1 hour lunch break they get. The staff should take turns to eat like the banks do.”

“If you're looking for rows of goods stacked to the ceiling with full shelves all around then this is your place. Compared to the other frugal shopper store across town, this one has more inventory but also more scatter. Personally, I went to find some items to hang on empty wall space and area rugs. This and personal clothing were in abundance.”
“One stop shop. Always good to grab milk and bread sorta place. Sometimes is crowded with new inventory but employees are always willing to help find what you need.”
“Dominick from electronics was very efficient and kind. I witnessed a very rude woman yelling at him over something that wasn’t his fault and he kept his composure the whole time, 10/10 customer service from him”
“Definitely a go-to! It has good pricing with want and need items! My only thing is that sometimes when I go here I'll take longer than needed because I can't find staff, cash registers, or people to help me find something. They are nice! But are missing sometimes ?.”
“Tonight (7/23/25) I went to the Apalachin Dollar General with a tiny battery from a ~31 year old cheap plastic picture frame that had a voice recording from my dad who passed away last month. I couldn’t make out the battery type on the surface (probably need new readers too), so I found a pack that appeared the same size & asked a young man who worked there: Can you see if I have the right type? He examined it, tried to find the same type around the store and couldn’t. Then he actually looked online with his cell phone and confirmed my battery was interchangeable with the new version we found in store. I explained to him I was trying to keep a precious recording of my dad’s voice & he said please come back and let me know if it worked. What a wonderful person who really cared. The batteries worked & I consider this trip to Dollar General priceless. Thank you so much, you made a big difference in a stranger’s life tonight. I wish I asked your name!”
