“A friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The food is amazing, and the place is clean(very important). I highly recommend the roast beef sandwich on a roll. It is amazing. I enjoy tea, and they have a large assortment it. I highly recommend Ardsley Market Fresh & Deli.”

“This place always has been my go to place I recommend anyone who wants fresh quality products, and a very friendly staff this would definitely be the place for you. Though it is a little pricey but it's well worth the extra cost”

“Offer high quality produces from Japan. Great sushi grade hand picked by the owner and flown daily from Japan Fish Market. Good cream puffs on the weekend. If you park on the meter, they will reimburse you for. Also, they offered a variety of Bento boxes (Set Lunch box) for grab and go. Small sushi shop and Bakery inside as well.”

“This place is fantastic - everyone working there was so helpful and nice. Great market for Mexican/South American products. Excellent butcher shop and produce and great selection of dried chilis. The food is also incredible. The carnitas tacos were perfect and the chicken empanada was one of the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back to try some of the dinner foods as well.”

“Garden Gourmet really is an oasis in this neck of the Kingsbridge-Riverdale woods. The quality is uniformly high, with a few exceptions, and the prices are decent. More expensive than, say, Stop & Shop across the street, but overall a vastly superior store. Produce selection is abundant, with plenty of organic options. You can tell the store has a buyer who cares about quality. Again, with exceptions. They occasionally sell Sunset brand products, like tomatoes, which are not good. They should do better quality control on tomatoes. Also, there are many bagged veggies, like spinach and salads, which can contain spoilage and are best avoided. I wish they would eliminate these, but I guess people like them because the veggies are pre-washed. But there are plenty of fresh alternatives to these. The meat and chicken section also is good quality, but can be pricey, except they have an excellent deal on Bell & Evans chickens, which are top-notch. (They also offer cheap mass-produced Perdue chickens which are tasteless, but can be avoided.) The butchered meat selection is not huge, more select, but good quality and reasonably priced. However, if you're going for processed packaged meats, like sausages and other deli cuts, they have tons of high-quality imports, along with quality sliced ham, turkey, and other cold cuts that they package themselves. Their fresh fish selection is small, but good quality and not cheap. Smoked fish, though? Huge selection. Then there's the cheese -- a superb curated spread that's massive considering the size of the store, with many great prices. One picayune exception: their house-made fresh mozzarella is bland. Luckily they have other brands. Garden Gourmet obviously prides itself on their house-made products, including bean salads, olives, slaw, potato salads, etc. -- and these are uniformly good. They also offer a TON of prepared cooked food for take-home meals, but I never buy that stuff because I cook for myself. It sure looks and smells good though. The GG has a HUGE selection of locally sourced bread off all types that blows away any supermarket. Also a nice pick of cakes and pies and other baked goods that are either house made or locally sourced. One other criticism of GG: Their coffee beans are inferior. I wish they'd get a new supplier for these. Othewise there is SO MUCH more I could say about this store -- like discuss their IMMENSE selection of products imported from mainly Eastern European countries -- but I've blabbed on enough. If the Garden Gourmet ever closed down I'd be shattered.”

“Had the New York wrap (bbq chicken and onions). Really good. This place is also the first stop for a lot of kids events that 4BronxProject organizes on Mosholu. This place always goes all out for the kids during those which I really appreciate.”

“This is a great Trader Joes. The only downside is that it’s always packed but I guess that tells you how good it is. I try to shop at Trader Joe’s whenever I can even though I live an hour away. It’s one of the best grocery stores in the US. The only problem is that sometimes they run out of my favorite items or they stop carrying my favorites.”

“This is not where I do my major shopping. I only go in for 1 or 2 items. The parking lot can be a challenge when it's super busy. Otherwise, I'm in and out in under ten minutes. Sometimes they don't have what I'm looking for, which can make my trip disappointing.”

“Great store. Great variety of items / brands. They seem to stay on trend or ahead of the trends. So many stores get "lost in the sauce," so to speak. Will definitely shop here more often.”

“The Moroccan mint tea was OUTSTANDING!! The food was delicious-had the mushroom omelette, which seemed to be popular. The waiter was attentive. Space is a little cramped but cozy if you don't mind hearing your neighbors conversation.”

“THE BEST BEC EVER! When I order I get a Bacon Egg and Cheese with extra bacon crispy, ketchup, mayo, salt and pepper. You don’t have to try it this way, either way these are delicious. Give Delgado’s a try!”

“Truck route if coming from I-95 North. Take exit 72, and then connect to NJ-4 West. Keep an eye on the bridge clearance signs. There is a section that is under 13’6” but that’s only for an exit out of NJ-4. Don’t try taking other exits off of I-95 North because there are signs prohibiting trucks or trailers 102 inches wide or more.Fast loading. Turn off your reefer while loading. Their docks are not temperature controlled.Truck route if taking I-80 West. You can take NJ-4 West and then connect to NJ-17 South. Do not use the left lane on NJ-4 because there is a low clearance bridge there.”

They also have a great meat and seafood market. Everyone is very nice and pleasant. The prices aren't bad either. They have very good roasted chickens.”

“The best produce you will find in Ossining besides other places, meat for BBQ, seafood downstairs to prepare a delicious meal, vegetables are the best here, just I don't recommend to buy here plates, juices, milk, etc, because of the high price, I personal come here only for vegetables, meat, seafood, the best in this 3 things.”

“Super fresh food and tons of inventory. I just moved into the area and was super excited that there is an H Mart near by. This is where I get seafood when I need it. They also have a pretty extensive beer selection. Some kitchen gadgets and accessories are sold here as well. *EDIT* As much as I love H Mart, it has gotten astronomically expensive. A box of cereal is $10 and a half gallon of organic milk is $8.99. A box of pretzels is $9.99. I remember when a gallon of milk was under $4 and that wasn't too long ago. Still great for meat and seafood, but you're better off going to a CVS or Stop & Shop for regular grocery items such as toilet paper, paper plates, paper towels, kitchen and bathroom cleaning supplies etc.”

“Bought a drink that looked good. Had a question about it so I asked an Employee who spoke no English. Ridiculous if your working at a grocery store in the United States, & you don't know any English.. Luckily there was a man who spoke English, & answered my questions. Respectful as well. I have a feeling he was an Assistant Manager. He seemed real on game.As for the drink I'll never buy it again. Every one has different taste, & love's different kinds. This one is not mine. Lol.”

“If you like cooking South Asian cuisine, Brothers Indian Market is a very good resource. It has a very wide array of South Asian food products, far better than the market just up Central Ave and on the other side of the road (I think the other store is called Royal Market). Staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable.I don't think one can ask for more.A side benefit - if you're shopping for other Asian food, Brothers Indian Mart is nearly across the street from an H Mart, a very expansive Asian supermarket (H Mart's food selection is more Southeast and East Asian - Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc). Their proximity makes shopping for specialty items a LOT easier.I'll continue to shop there. Recommended.”

“This store is a block and a half away and I love it. It's real convenient especially when I forget to pick up cooking seasonings like thyme, onions, green peppers etc. They're also very friendly and clean.”

“The place is a little small but they always have what I need and everything is always fresh. And the customer service from this one man is absolutely perfect. He's willing to give a hand at any time even when he is busy . He will stop what he is doing to help you .and guess what he's handicapped.”
